Name: Solas 'Midi' Oiche [His parents had some wierd reason to name him that]
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Country of Origin: Ireland
Appearance: Image

Personality: Midi can be described as a 'wild man' of sorts, He likes things exciting, whether that reffered to a fight or just ideas he has... He finds things exploding equally as exciting as coming up with a wild idea for a new weapon design, platform modification, or other such technological 'wonder' [in 'his' mind]. He's also got a wild imagination, a Stomach of Obsidian [figuratively speaking], and a strangely wide reaching mental fortitude against things that would freak most people out. [I.e. he wouldn't get sick if someone suddenly lost a limb.]

He also has a veritable addiction to music, Almost constantly playing some sort of music in his helmet or from any Platform he's piloting, combined with the translation of his name earning him the nickname 'Midi'.

Training: Engineer Expertise, Platform Piloting, Standard Pistol Training, Hobbyist practice with weapons that don't require special training [like shotguns, personally invented gadgets, and that such.], Inventive Experience, 'bypasser' [His word for someone who finds ways to get through things that normally require skills he doesn't have. I.e. if nothing else works, he'd try ripping out the door panel and melt everything to see if it makes the door open.]

Equipment:
Storage Pack: Simply put, a Large lightly armored Back-pack used to contain and organize... well, whatever you put in it, spare ammo, electronics, back-up weapons, repair materials, broken weapons, simple scrap materials, and so on. It has roughly 1 x 2 x 3 Feet of Space in it.

Primary: Engineer's Attachment Gauntlet

Secondary: Revolver

Gadgets: More'll probably get listed here as we go along

Grappling hook - Left hand - 20 Foot range - Primarily used for climbing or moving lighter objects to the user, very useful when on a platform and short on time to climb down to get an important part.

P.D.A.: Compact computerized device used to create, store, and transfer data for it's user, loaded with design plans and useful schematics that should aid in the completion of the mission.

Are you now?@Shoryu, don't worry about creature limitations here. You can play a sergal for all that I care.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, That's exactly vvhat I vvas gonna do! XD

Just really hard to find a fitting picture XD hahah, don't get me wrong, I can describe just fine, but after dozens of times doing just that in intimate detail, it gets repetitive DX besides, a picture can be even more awesome.

But i'm also tempted to use something with wings... Hmm, maybe a mutATION >.>
Claimed! I only said that because everyone else did! Normally I'd just say:

Oooh, I have the perfect creature in mind for this setting =D Now It's time to be... BRILLIANT!
I don't wish to be an ass about it, but those CS's look more like 'Free level' material than casual xD

Also, I'll have a CS up in an hour or 2 =D
Hey, would this work for an engineer? I know it's 'dead spacey' but honestly, It's always been one of my favorites XD and I'm loathe to spend 'another' hour scouring the internet for a suitable example... if only I have LP2 on my PC TnT but alas, i do not... plus, i have ideas for the big fist attachment =D

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/155/7/8/the_engineer_by_legend571-d529279.jpg
I'm not sure about reserving or not XD I'd like to =D I mean, an engineer modified platform would be perfect for totting around all that useful stuff and having it ready to be helpful XD Buuut, then somebody else who might want one can't XD of course, there's also that little annoyance about the engineer being more helpful in a mech than on foot if a serious fight breaks out XD... i dunno, flip a coin or sumthin XD
Hmmm, I get the distinct feeling this Engineer would have some back-up equipment that could be used to replace the guns on his mech/platform/whatever when out of combat that'd improve the whole 'repairing/building' mechs thing, given that some of those parts are probably pretty damn heavy XD ... then again, people in lost planet are apparently able to carry around what looks to be a gun weighing several hundred pounds at least while still running full tilt, sooooo, bits and pieces probably aren't a big deal XD
Heheh, I always 'stock up' >=D and yeah i gotcha =3 I'm not sure which one I'd use personally, one is obviously easier to get in and our, a useful function if the engi has to hop out to do some emergency work, but the other one, as I recall, has a 'ski mode' that'll let it move forward very quickly... or it may be a different version, not sure. The second one being more 'heavy duty' in basic structure, would probably be more suitable for an engineer, given that he could easily modify something on it to carry lots of extra materials to work with, but I remember those being so horridly slooowwww... I like dashing... a lot =D

oohhhh, if only we had a larger mobile command center thing... I could have him working on 'pet project custom mech' for a long while that could become functional later... custom within reason of course, i'm not even gonna consider taking things even close to a 'gundam'ish level XD I can't bloody decide what i wanna do though DX I like the idea of a more mobile spider mech model, but I also like the heavy duty variety, those mobile legs make for good heavy armor blocking in different directions...

http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/004/a/0/Mecha_Zone__Crab_Tank_by_Mecha_Master.jpg this is actually one of my favorite styles =D Heavy armor 'and' agile, armored legs, plenty of weight so normally it wouldn't go very fast, good fire-power, and it even has a cargo holder =D. but most importantly, 'mobile tracks' on the ends of it's legs so it can pick up speed when moving in a single direction. Of course, it's completely vulnerable from below, sorta vulnerable from above, and can only protect itself in 2 directions.

In other notes, look what i just spotted XD http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2013/215/9/d/spider_minitank_by_akirawrong-d6ghfz4.jpg

This one looks very jury rigged XD http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/105/3/6/cute_little_pig_by_zhangx-d4w9ube.jpg

This one is way rediculous XD http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2013/210/e/0/glass_spider_super_heavy_armor_by_partical0-d6fqh0e.jpg but who knows, boss maybe XD
like 'this' flamethrower? =D http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs9/i/2006/056/b/0/Spider_Mech_by_SoapCommercial.jpg HAHAH! or this! http://alexshatohin.deviantart.com/art/Diesel-Flamethrower-433767597 orrr probably like this http://th05.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f/2012/133/7/0/flamethrower_aft_2l_heat_by_karanak-d4zkm49.jpg

funny thing, most games seem to give the engineer access to a flamethrower [unless they have a pyro class... heh, pyro-class-tic XD], i can only assume this is because it falls under 'special weapons' and because the engineer would be more helpful toting the 'fire'launcher that requires him to be up close while the more skilled shooters are safely behind the fire XD

That said, i might try his hand at scrapping together flamethrower 'attachments', probably small fuel load and won't last long, but better than not having any fire when you need it! and you can probably throw it and make it explode too! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

I'm actually going over some spider mechs on DA to see if any of them are 'lost planet-ish'...

would it be typically restricted to heavy armor http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/264/7/3/red_mech_by_astrokevin-d5ff14l.jpg http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/213/4/6/spider_mech_is_tingling_by_brotherostavia-d59emgk.jpg

or capable of being more agile [implying limb flexbiility, not raw speed] http://th07.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2012/048/f/6/spider_mechas_3_by_astrokevin-d4pzvk8.jpg

Question, while i'm on the subject of spider mechs, would it be viable for said engineer to have chosen such a mech perhaps because he happens to have an odd liking for spiders? you know, that odd little thing people like that just seems to inspire them all the time, and perhaps have designed, or may do so later, spider-bots/turrets to use to keep himself out of the line of fire?

Actually, the ideas of the Engineer hanging back to be ready to help someone else if something jams or they need a fixing, while using a remote sort of spider drone sounds interesting... then again, there may be a communications or scouting specialist who might get some use out of a forward scouting drone of their own... GYAH! My brain is over working! I need sleep.

Yeah, a lot like LP 3. The mechs I'll be using will mainly be like a flat platform with legs alot like but the military ones will be more like or We could certainly use an engineer. I was thinking of only having one or two mechs available in the beginning and as the RP goes on some other people may end up finding a salvageable one that they can claim as theirs and use and they may find more powerful ones that they can trade up for.

oh god i always loved those spider tank mechs! ESpecially in Lost planet 2! they can merge with the other nevec mech!

That said, i rather adore spider mechs anyway XD I wouldn't want to be pushy about having a mech [being the guy that puts everyone elses back together when they break them and all, and as an engineer with my imagination you can expect some very interesting 'gadgets' to be improvised... if I can help it and within reason of course], but a military engineer would be expected to be capable of piloting one right? whether effective in combat or not, given that he'd like be less useful on foot in a fire-fight.
