Marmalade looked at Caelyn slightly surprised.
"My mother loved saltwater taffy. She use to keep a jar on the counter in the kitchen." she told Caelyn, then took a deep breath. She couldn't cry. It was a sign of weakness. Her mother deserved laughter and smiles, not tears. She pushed down her sadness, they needed her to be strong and damn it, she would be. This thought was enough to lift her spirits again.
She heard the others talking about Nayash's belonging and decided she wouldn't be much help in that conversation, but when Veragwen said a sword would be a safer weapon, Marmalade just had to say something.
"Muscle memory would kick in and Nayash would be using her hammer much better than a sword. Besides, I don't think we will be needing to fight on the way to Bale. At least, nothing we can't handle between us... three..." she didn't know how skilled Raena was in combat, but decided the girl would be upset if she left her out.
"We should definitely head out.." she said and started for the door. She knew Caelyn wanted to put the spirits of the deceased to rest before they left, they might as well do that first. Couldn't make the walk any longer.
Marmalade backed away from Caelyn a few steps. Far enough to give her space, but close enough to catch her if she fell. There was something familiar about her, but Marmalade couldn't put her finger on it. She stared at the woman, trying to figure it out, but was distracted as Raena started talking.
After listening to everyone, she decided it was time to hit the road. It was a days walk to Bale and with two injured people, it would be longer. The cave they would be going through would not be helpful to their condition.
"Ladies, lets finish up what we need to do and head out." Marmalade sighed. She had just found a place to settle and now she had to leave. She took out an old map from her pack and placed it on a nearby table. "We can make camp in the valley before we go into the cave. Then we will spend a couple hours healing with the spirits. This way the dampness of the cave won't effect the wounds too much." Marmalade looked at her companions. This was either going to be very good... or very bad.
I will be posting hopefully today... or in the next couple of days.
Sorry I didnt post. I have it all ready and I got distracted.
I guess I am over half done with my sheet. Still need to get my equipment and other stuff... so much for it being quick to fill out Fallen. >:(
Agh! Again, I dont even have my sheet done!!!
Hehe, no worries. Caelyn will be in good hands.
Marmalade was jolted awake by a scream. She reached for her scythe, only to realize it was across the room. She hadn't meant to fall asleep, meaning to use the stones again. Once Veragwen had taken the White-Silver one, however, it seemed like they were going to have to wait until later today.
With a fluid motion, Marmalade swung her legs from the bed to the floor. Caelyn had suggested speaking some words for the departed and listened to Veragwen, her brows furrowed.
"You shouldn't think like that, Veragwen. Its not your fault they died." she said, struggling to not walk over and slap her, "All we can do is look forward and try to avenge them. We all know this wasn't an accident. We should focus on the enemy for the moment."
Marmalade huffed and sauntered across the room to her scythe. She was about to grab it, but figured supporting Caelyn or Nayash would be more Important. So Marmalade walked back and spoke to Caelyn.
"Can you stand?"
Name: Lucas (Frostbite)

Breed: Lupus

Auspice: Galliard

Tribe: Fianna

Rank: 1

Gifts: Call of the Wyld
Beast Speak
Predators Arsenal

Personality: True to his Fianna heritage, Lucas is a hopeless romantic and falls for just about any woman. Due to his upbringing however, most contact with females(especially humans and homids) is extremely awkward and brash and more than once has earned him a slap to the face.
Despite this, Lucas is generally friendly. He makes jokes and sarcastic comments to try and lighten a dark mood. While this works more often than not, it has caused Lucas his fair share of fights.

Lucas considers himself an introvert simply because he enjoys books, lore, and songs. Any human and garou alike would find him charismatic and overly outgoing without the maddening cheer that goes with it.
Lucas hides his true feelings, masking them behind a fake smile. He has learned to control his emotions so well, you would think he is happy rather than angry or sad.
Lucas is mistrustful of humans and keeps them two arm lengths away.

Biography: Lucas was born in the Fianna homeland of Ireland. Long free of the wolf terror, growing up was a challenge for he and his mother. Somehow they were able to survive with the human threat looming ever closer as the days rolled by.
Even as a pup, Lucas was curious about humans, though he was careful to never go beyond the fauna or attack their meat. He really wanted to though.
Every chance he got, he left his pack and peered through the bushes at a nearby farm. The humans that lived there seemed happy. He wanted that for himself and his mother. One day, a young woman arrived at the farm. She was the most exquisite creature he had ever laid his eyes on. Lucas knew in his heart he wanted her, but she was a human and he was a wolf. How could it ever be? He let it go, knowing that if he lingered, he may commit the most serious of wolfen offenses. Lead a human to his pack. One day lead to another and soon two years passed. He chased deer and an assortment of other prey. The thrill of the hunt, wind through his fur; there was no word to express or feeling to match. He was a master of these woods, he and his kin.
During such a hunt, Lucas felt a strange sensation. It was also unmatched in word and feeling. This was something far more than wisps of air flowing around his body. It was a change. His paws took another form, followed by his legs. Soon his fur was shedding and not like winter fur during summer. It fell off. In clumps. His skin stretched and his bones shifted, becoming something foreign yet familiar. Before he could work out what was happening, it was over. He looked at his paws, they were replaced by hands. There was no fur on his body aside from a snowy white mop that now fell over his eyes.
He was human.
It was impossible. It had to be. His mother never told him..
These thoughts shot through his mind like a bullet to the head. All the while, Lucas laid motionless. Paralyzed by his fear. If he moved, it would be real.
Dark came quickly, and Lucas opened his eyes slowly. He wasn't looking up at the sky. He didnt know where he was. With a sudden burst of fear, Lucas sat up. His arms and legs, they were the same as before. This was.. real. He heard a voice next to him. It was the young woman from two years ago. She spoke to him, but he couldn't understand her words, they were garbled. Lucas started to breath fast as he stared at her. She reached out to him and he shoved her away with a strength unknown to him, throwing her into a vanity. Lucas fell to floor off some sort of fluffy thing. He didn't have time to figure it out. The woman struggled to stand, she was bleeding. She looked at him with horror. Lucas backed away from the girl as best he could, having barely any control over his body. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the stars twinkling. With no concern to himself, Lucas launched his body through the window. The glass shattered around him, leaving cuts all over his body. He needed to get back to his pack. To safety. Lucas raced through the woods, it didn't dawn on him that his body was again that of a wolf. He ran. He didn't stop. Lucas soon found himself at his pack den. Or what was left of it. He pack was gone. Blood was splattered on the dirt and nearby trees. The den had been dug up, any pups were either dead or taken to grow up in a zoo. That was no life for a wolf. A sad, lonely howl escaped Lucas as he stood among the ruins of his home. It was cut short as a bullet whizzed by his body. Mourning would have to wait, he needed to get out of here. He ran away from his home and everything he ever knew and hid. Soon the hunt was called off and Lucas moved to the edge of the woods. He had to be a human to move any further. He couldn't control it though, could he? Lucas spent the next year testing his new skill and hiding his true nature from the humans. Finally he was able to willfully change into the creature he despised the most. Humans.
Lucas learned their language and found there was a way to leave this island. A metal bird that could take him far away to a place called the U.S.A. he overheard that it was the place that one could start over. Maybe there would be others like him there. As far as he knew, there were none on the island.
As soon as he had the money, most of which was stolen, Lucas boarded the giant metal creature destined for unknown lands. Apparently a place called Boston.
