Sword Art Online (SAO) is the first ever VRMMORPG produced by Argus for the NerveGear, with Kayaba Ahkihiko as the development director. The online game takes place on a hundred-floor floating castle called Aincrad. At first everything is fine. You logged in, Played around a little, Killed a few monsters, everything was fine... Until you tried to logout. When you opened your main menu, the logout button wasnt there. You are stuck inside the game.
The GM (Kayaba Ahkihiko) suddenly telleports all the players to leval one of Aincrad and tells you that you are now stuck in the game until someone makes it to leval 100... which no one has ever done before. He also tells you that if your family attempts to remove the HeadGear, you will die. If you die in the game, You die IRL. Many lives were lost in the first fifteen minutes becuase of familys not heading the warning that Kayaba Ahkihiko had put out. Within the first month, over a thousand players had commited sucicide. Now it has been almost six months and everyone is starting to get used to the idea of being stuck inside SAO. Some have formed Guilds, some are solo players. Most of the Beta Testers (Or 'beaters' as most of the players call them) are by themselves because some of the other players think that the Beaters know some sort of secret about SAO and arent sharing it with the others. This of course isnt true.
No one knows exactly why Kayaba Ahkihiko did this but one thing is for certain... This is no longer a game.

Hey. I'm Silverclaw. I have 5 years rping experience but I've never been on RPGuild before. I have a vast amount of Nick-names.
