Sent my CS, hope it's up to snuff.

And I hope it sent. o_o

EDIT: Yay, he's up. Tell me what you think or I'll gut you all. D:<

Also, *nudge nudge Write* LGBT buddies.
Methinks this eccentric billionaire character might be in over their head with this bunch hahaha

Just like Xavier was with his ragtag group of kiddos. And Eric's inevitable megalomania.
Quick question: how many characters are we allowed? :o
I've already had enough trouble looking for a male image, I'm not going to go to more trouble for a female one.

Never did like the "no anime pics" rule. I swear, anime is more modest than real life* (probably for good reason).

*Personal opinion only, may or may not be true.

It all depends on what you're searching for, lol.

Art, however, allows for more flexibility with characters, so Anime definitely sides on the more risque if you search correctly. It's easier to find extreme kinks in regards to anime, than it is regarding real life photos. And have you seen how some of the anime ladies are drawn? Kill La Kill is entirely fan service oriented, for both the ladies and the men. <3 Tsumugu.

Regardless, modest or not, they're relatively on the same platform. Almost every company tries to market their products using sexuality, so that'll leave women in skimpy outfits and guys shirtless and packing. That includes anime.

But, hey, if you need help finding a specific person, give me all the things you're looking for and I'll PM you some guys or gals.

I'm on the opposite end of this, since I have specific taste in guys. I can find ladies for anime related RPs, but it's harder for me when I'm looking for an male.
Oh good. It was looking like it would be a sausagefest :D

I don't see what the issue is here.

Pretty sure that's a good thing.

Since I'm off of work nao, I'ma continue working on my CS. Should be up soon!
I hate looking for non-anime pics. Just half-naked guys showing their abs.... and biceps... and hair....

Not gay, I swear.

We are two totally different people. I'm hella gay, so I don't mind it.

Regardless, it helps to be somewhat specific with your search terms. Use search terms like 'Male Model Casual' or suit or something that denotes a style of clothing. That'll give you guys with as conservative clothing as you can muster.

Also, searching for specific actors also helps. I use to have a stigma against it, but... I obviously don't anymore. *cough*

I used a drawing but I refuse to just give into what the man tells me too, plus I thought he was too perfect in terms of looks.

I think he just meant anime as a subgenre of art and not art altogether? o_O I dunno, up to him what he meant.

EDIT: Also, I won't be able to have a CS to you until a little later tomorrow. :o
I'm a bit scared...I can only type in 6 paragraphs each post, is that considered high casual?

If I may ask, why do you prefer messaged cs's rather than posted cs's?

Edit: now that I think about it, high casual may be too high for me. Not that dedicated enough to go 6 paragraphs.

I see this being a big problem with people attempting to define high casual or advanced.

I've been in a few advanced RPs myself and I've never had to consistently post 6 solid paragraphs, ever. I've never posted below 3, but that's my personal thing. I could have literally flown by just as easily posting 2 paragraphs a post.

It's never about the quantity of a post--never about how many paragraphs you can dish out--it's a about your ability to progress through a plot. It's about knowing your character and where they may go. It's about reacting to situations accordingly and developing both the plot and the character from it. You can accomplish that with 2 solid paragraphs of detail.

Character development and plot progression are what high casual and advanced GMs care that you know how to do. And doing that in a way that keeps you and the other RPers interested in what you're writing.

Focusing on the length of your post rather than the quality is going to clog it with filler--unnecessary info. Nothing's wrong with filler (I can be flowery and purple in my writing too) but jam packing a post with it is going to drive a person insane. I can write 10+ paragraphs of filler, explaining away the setting and the appearance of my character and expanding the detail of their actions, and that's a sure fire way for the GM of an Advanced RP to pull me aside and ask if I've either been drinking or gotten a little in over my head.

Two paragraphs. That's 10 sentences total. That's a solid length that gives you the perfect amount of room to drive a plot forward--it's also enough to get your characterization down and set the stones you need to move a character forward, as well.

Oh and a good grasp on utilizing the written language well enough to put all of these elements together. Not novel, best seller level of artistry like some people think. At the least, an 11th grade grasp of the English language to college level will suffice. More is great, but never necessary.

I mean, I've been in high casual RPs since I was a sophomore in high school. The expectations aren't as lax as casual but most GMs don't expect you to be able to write an entire novel's worth of material.
Interested!
Double post. D;

On that note, maybe we should flip it: make the comedies into tragedies and the tragedies into comedies? That's a lot of tragedies, though. Maybe just Romeo and Juliet because, damn, that plot can turned into something hilarious. It almost is, actually, if you think about it. I thought it was funny, maybe unfortunate. Probably both.

Something like Macbeth or Hamlet, though, I can't see going any other way. Could touch up some moments to make them more lighthearted, but, uh, their plots don't really work well as comedies unless you wanna go down a morbid/macabre road. o_o Just South Park it and kill everyone gruesomely for shits and giggles.

"Gertrude, no! Claudius put potassium packets inside that goblet of water! The acid in your stomach is gonna melt the protective layer and the alkali metal's gonna react with the water in your body. YOU'LL EXPLODE!"

Boom!

Hamlet: IT WAS MEANT OR MEEEEEE *Vader-esque NOOOO!*

I obviously need to sleep.
Mercutio was kind of comic relief?

If anyone's a stand up comedian, it's likely him. Except no one understands his jokes.

"I don't know what you're talking about? Fairies? Is that supposed to be a gay joke? Regardless, I take offense."

In which Benvolio starts a chain of throwing tomatoes. Everyone's doing it, so might as well join in, right?

"Can't go wrong with a name like Bottom. The real irony is that he actually did have talent but with an ass for a head, no one really gave a crap. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth; it might turn out to be a jackass. I call that joke ironic coincidence cause who can tell the difference? Especially if you're prone to lamp shading everything you say!"

How many characters are we allowed to play because I do have the sudden urge to pick up Puck. Er. Aah.
