Indifferent towards Match

Personality: When first encountering Taiki he tends to come off as rather cold and uncaring, that's just how he is towards most things. Recently, the only thing he's showed any interest in is the piano and trying to find meaning behind his playing. He's the type of person who prefers being alone, but when alone yearns for the company of others. To him, most things seem trivial, yet he cant help but worry about the littlest thing. When alone he tends to let his true emotions slip out, around others though this is a rare thing. The only way to know the "true" him is to be someone extremely close to him.

Backstory

Taiki, born into a long line of pianist, acquired at birth more stress than any normal child would be able to handle. As soon as he could walk, he was thrust in front of a piano, mindlessly banging on the keys he earned himself the title of "prodigy". Around the time of his third birthday, he was put on stage for the very first time, he was to be the opening act in one of his fathers recitals. He played a rather simple song and most people in the audience cooed at how "cute" and "adorable" he was, but a select few there recognized the immense talent that this child held. He had learned to play the piano, while most children his age didn't even know the alphabet.

Three years passed and his talent grew immensely. While other children were outside playing, he was inside practicing for his next performance. He was not afforded the luxury of a childhood. Growing up isolated from the outside world, all Taiki knew was the piano. Eight hours a day he practice, the other six was spent being home schooled by a private tutor. To many this life would seem unbearable, but to Taiki with the weight of his father expectations on his shoulders, he bore it easily. Years later, Taiki was world-renowned as a child prodigy. Going from performance to performance, he didn't have much time to rest. Eventually this constant traveling took its toll on his father, he was hospitalized and soon after died. For a short while Taiki went on unfazed, but after having an emotional breakdown on stage, his music career came to a halt. Returning home to his mother, he wouldn't touch the piano again for over two years after that.

Without the piano Taiki had nothing. He was a shell of his former self. Seeing this, his mother forced him back into the musical world hoping to spark something inside of young Taiki. She got him to play, but she could never fill the gap that was left inside of him. He no longer played with his heart, his performances were robotic. He was a slave to the score, "a human metronome". Back on the world stage Taiki advanced farther than he had ever before. Playing the pieces exactly how the composers intended them to be played, he was the definition of perfection. Cover photos, sponsorship and fame, these all came his way, but none of it made him feel any less hollow inside. He searched and searched for a reason to keep playing, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't find one.

The stress never seemed to grow any lighter, now 14 he seemed to have more bags under his eyes than a 40-year-old businessman. This was the life that he chose. No time to be a kid, no time to rest, he was hardly human. His mother who had pushed him back into this life had only made things worst for him. Over and over it was like he was living the same day again and again. Until one day it just stopped, it felt like he was suspended in time. It was over, it was finally over. He could be happy, no more did he have to suffer. But like everything good, it ended. Turns out he wasn't "suspended in time" like he thought, he just had a heart attack nearly killing him at the age of 15. Who would have guessed it? His first glimpse of true happiness was seen through a near death experience. This happened to be the final nail in his careers coffin. From here on out there would be no more performing, no more traveling. His mother had enrolled in a real school, a school devoted to finding people their "match". She hoped, just maybe, that if he could find someone who mattered to him enough to live. He could find meaning in his playing again

The night before last Watarti had stumbled into my his new living quarters and collapsed on the old tattered sofa that sat in the common area. Tired beyond belief he slept for almost two days before awakening to the sound of his roommate preparing breakfast. There was loud yelling and banging coming from the kitchen area that Watari just couldn't manage to ignore. "You know you think you'd be a little more considerate to you new roommate." He yelled, picking up a one of the pillows that fallen on the floor, he tossed it towards the kitchen in the hopes that his message would make a point.

Rolling over and attempting to go back to sleep now was no longer an option. After being awoken in such an untimely fashion there was no going back. Sitting up almost immediately, the mess of pillows and blankets that were piled on top of him flew into the air and scattered across the room. Who does this guy think he is, I should blow up his house for waking me up. Of course if he did that he'd most likely have to go on the run again since the police would catch on. Walking into the kitchen Watari clapped his hands together and put on his best friendly expression. Looking at Grimm he smiled "So what are you making? It doesn't seem like you're very satisfied with the outcome." Standing in front of him was a tall young man with icy blue eyes and shaggy unkempt hair, raised above his head was a large scythe prepared to come down on the helpless blending machine.
