Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

I remember seeing the first installment of this a while back, but it was full at the time. I love all things mecha and used to participate in a few RPs hosted here in the past and had developed my own at one point. I'd be game!
Since accompanying General Dorius, Ruthredir and the other Lebethron elves stuck together in their own clique. They camped isolated from the Lavas soldiers, traveled several paces away from them and generally were loathe to even speak to anyone who was not elven. Dorius had missed the worst of the fighting, whether intentionally or by chance, and to Ruthredir, that unnerved him. The man had no right to push himself onto the survivors - the true soldiers who endured dragon's fire and had to witness the death of their kin. For all he knew, Dorius could have been enjoying the luxury of his officer's tent at the moment King Baelnorn met his end.
Ruthredir was seated among several of his companions atop a strip of furs when a lone Lavas soldier approached them. Aside from the occasional heckle or brooding glances, the humans hadn't made much in the way of direct contact. When the Lebethrons noticed him, they ceased their conversation and stood, hands resting on the pommels of their swords. They were several heads taller than the soldier before them, who's stony composure softened as the elves dwarfed his stature.
"Eh, General Dorius requires a scout for the area ahead. He sent for one of you."
"Does he now?" jibed one of the elves. "He has plenty of men to choose from." The Lebethron gestured at the ranks of Lavas nearby. "Or does he wish to hide behind and let others get their hands dirty for him? Again?" The soldier winced, clearly uncomfortable, but stood his ground.
"Listen, I just follow orders. Neither of us have to like them. I just need one of you to placate the old man and come with me."
"Fine, I'll go," Ruthredir announced. "Chances are we can still do a better job of it than his own scouts can." He turned to his companions and spoke in elvish, <I won't be long. In the off-chance there's a threat, he'll be thankful his men weren't left to the task and failed to notice.>
The Lavas soldier led Ruthredir to the rest of the haphazardly-gathered individuals tasked with the same job. Unsurprisingly, there was not one Lavas among them, but a mix of other Mûl elves, a Siren and another human who's ethnicity did not match those of the soldiers.
"What's holding the General up?"

Name: Eva Zelenko
Age: 128 (Appears in mid twenties)
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Eva stands at 5'7" and weighs about 136 lbs. Her build is relatively slender and toned, bordering on athletic. Her skin is a very fair, creamy shade and her hair is also near-white. Eva's irises resemble pools of ink, nearly matching the black of her pupils.

Creature: Vampire
Type of Hunter: Lycan/Hunter
Lycans are Eva's prey of choice, and as a result, she makes sure to carry a substantial amount of silver on her person. She always is on the lookout for more, which can be loaded into shotgun shells as impromptu ammunition. Eva puts high value on silver-jacketed bullets, considering both their lethality against lycans and their rarity. Her weapon of choice for hunting lycans is a Remington 870 Express shotgun, which she loads with shells filled with shrapnel and ball bearings made from silver. She also carries a Heckler & Koch USP Match as a sidearm, chambered for .45 ACP. If close quarters fighting with lycans is inevitable, she has a machete handy.

How long have you been hunting/afflicted: Afflicted since birth; Hunting for about a hundred years, give or take

Blood Magic: TBD

Background: Eva emigrated to the United States with her family sometime in the late 1880s. They'd left Ukraine behind to seek their fortune in a new world; not unlike other immigrants arriving in the States at the same time. However, hers was unique in that they were all vampires. At home, no quarter was given to the hunting of their kind. The States, they hoped, would be something of a safe haven.
Eva didn't start hunting until she was a young woman, during the early years of WWI. To evade detection and foster sense of community, the Zelenko family had banded together with other vampire households. However, feral lycans that roamed nearby took the gathering of vampires as a threat. The coven was attacked and both species killed one another in the feud. The lycans were killed off, but at a hefty price in life to the vampire community.
Fearing the consequences of curious humans discovering the incident, the coven packed up and set off for another home. Some families split off, preferring a quiet life that would avoid suspicion. The Zelenkos stayed with the coven. As years passed, the vampires jumped from town to town, some stays short and other longer. Gradually, they taught themselves how to defend each other from wild lycans, rival covens and militant humans.
Eva has since set out on her own, hunting feral creatures and protecting other vampire communities she comes across. She has helped her coven become strong, and wishes to do the same for others. As far as mundane humans are concerned, Eva is largely disinclined towards them. She holds an innate sense of superiority over them, but also envies that they do not have to live so precariously as her kind does.

Reason for Joining: Eva sought out William when she heard he was forming an irregular company of hunters. With humans, lycans and vampires in their ranks, she was curious to see how the organization would function. It also provided a convenient method of acquiring information on targets worth both hunting and protecting.

Since we're dealing with lycans, vampires and other supernatural creatures, there's some suspension of disbelief to be had, but I wanted to talk about silver weapons.
Silver is harder than lead, but it is also light. If you were to fire a silver bullet from a rifled barrel, I would think it would fly inaccurately - silver is hard to cool uniformly and as a result, they would wobble due to their imperfect shape. It also cools and melts at different temperatures than lead; when it cools, it shrinks more, resulting in smaller rounds than whatever you're molding for. Because of the metal's hardness, the rifling of the barrel would gradually become very damaged. You'd also need a hotter furnace/temperature to melt them than you would a lead bullet.
A solution would be just to use normal, silver-jacketed bullets. A thin layer of silver might not cause as much damage to the barrel and be just as accurate as a typical round. However, the manufacturing process would probably be more than a simple garage and the average person could handle. Companies do make silver-jacketed bullets, but you're looking at steep prices for a full stock. Probably best to have a few as failsafes and stick to other rounds for typical use.

The most practical solution would probably be to take apart shotgun shells and fit them with bits of silver ball bearings or shrapnel from things like sterling flatware or jewelry. Much easier than trying to buy or cast your own specialty bullets. You might also be able to fit small bits of silver into the tips of hollow-point rounds.

As far a swords go, forget pure silver. The blade would be too flimsy to be of any use and it wouldn't hold an edge. It would blunt itself on impact and a normal steel blade could cut through it. A steel sword plated with silver might sound like a way around this, but again, after use, the silver would abrade itself off without much effort. Sterling silver could be better, but it's still not even as tough as bronze. You're better off using just about anything else.
The only feasible way to make a 'silver' sword is through a process of inlaying silver sheet by hammering it in a cross-hatched surface and locking it in place. They use this method in Spain for jewelry and it has been done for decorative swords:

Of course, unless our characters just happen to be handy at metalworking, or very affluent, etc. silver equipment won't be a particularly common thing we have lying around.
