Huzzah! More people! Just need a couple more. If you guys really want to do this, I can trim the number of players needed and we can have a smaller group.
Hooooooooo boy. Don't make character sheets just yet, guys. I have additional information to include in the OOC thread. Once that goes live, submit away. For now, I just want to see if there's enough interest to even bother.
Holy Warriors

Ministry of Requisition,
Holy Order of Kasmir,
1509 A.B., Year of the Qalvani,

Greetings and good tidings, fellow Ministry. The Ministry of Design, in conjunction with the Ministry of Enmity has complied this requisition report, with top priority clearance (see seal below). This order is to be completed and delivered to the postmentioned persons and locations immediately and with upmost haste.

To make matters brief, the God Bhaskar is dead. The evidence we have so far suggests that he was murdered by unknown, outside influences, and not though any natural or subnatural causes. Orders from the Highest voice sang that the Holy Order shall deal solely and directly with the late God's demise. This includes but is not limited to: Tier Three Investigation, engaging in world politics, the dispatch of any number of Skeld (Hepex; Irzar), assassination, and open warfare. It is requested that your Ministry prepare for the aforementioned acts immediately after the completion of this order.

Bhaskar's death is considered an emergency of the highest urgency. The reason is unknown to our Ministry, though our Mathmagicians have deduced that the event that befell Bhaskar, The Stone God, could befall our own Kasmir. Such a disaster would spell utter devastation for the Order, as well as millions outside the faith. Again we urge to make this your highest concern.

The Highest Voice, Kasmir, God of Music, Art, and Trickery, has personally selected Skeld Essia Ysolt to head this operation. The Ministry of Requisition is expected to not only supply her and her ship, but to acquire a highly skilled team of specialists to accompany her. Listed below are the five additional operatives that we need. Of course, these operatives do not need to be of the Order or the faith, but instead be selected based on their merit. The Ministry of Design wants the best of the best for this operation.
The Skeld (Played by The Ascended Sleeper): Essia Ysolt, Order of Kasmir. High ranking warrior-poet, blessed with the boon of Kasmir. She will be leading the operatives as the sole leader of the party. Her word shall be law among them. Dossier enclosed.

The Ranger(Position Open): This member of the operation will serve as a master scout, tracker, and navigator in all or many types of terrain. The Ranger must guide the operatives where Essia's ship will not take them. It is unknown what environments will be faced, so a well rounded traveled explorer is recommended for this position.

The Doctor(Position Open): This member of the operation will serve as the de-facto pharmacist and healer for the operation. Should another operative, Kasmir forbid, become injured on the mission, this member must be able to provide medical treatment. The main focus of this operative, however, is to analyze the corpse of Bhaskar and determine if natural wounds were inflicted upon the body. There are many universities throughout the Central Kingdoms where skills of this level are taught. It is there the Ministry may find its ideal recruit.

The Sage(Position Open): This member of the operation must be exceedingly knowledgeable on a broad variety of subjects, with a special education in the study of Gods and Divine Physiology. The Ministry of Design is aware that mortal understanding of Gods is limited and untrustworthy, but use your best judgment here.

The Necromancer(Position Open): This member of the operation must be skilled in the esoteric arts of Magic, specifically that magic of the dead. Simple duties to be fulfilled are the binding and communication with geists, the ability to decipher complex entropic systems, and peer into places of Death. This art is a dying one (no pun intended), though our Mathmagicians have indicated that a few cults exist in the Far North among barbarian tribes, and among secluded cults in the Far East.

The Diplomat(Position Open): This final (and potentially most important) member of the operation will serve as the social adhesive. He or she must handle all exterior influences, including but not limited to bartering, engaging in difficult social duels, the requisition of emergency supplies, and the selection of shelter. The Diplomat must also be able to keep the peace among the operatives of the party. Our Mathmagicians assure you that each will come from a unique and perhaps incompatible background.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Design invokes the Rite of Precipitation, moving this order to the immediate top of your que. Please, find these specialists, and quickly. Kasmir be with you.

-Ishwali Al Bashur,
Clerk of Moves, Ministry of Design
Holy Order of Kasmir

The intro was a bit verbose, I apologize. This RP is a mystery/adventure in a dark fantasy universe of my creation where Gods are physical beings that rule over small domains of land. The world has all but abandoned these beings in this new age of budding steampunk industrialism, however. Some Gods, such as Kasmir (God of Music, Art, Decadence, and Trickery) work to keep the peace among what is left of the divine population, and his Holy Order, now the size of a large cult, works as vigilantes on the world stage.

As mentioned in the intro, the Order of Kasmir, renowned as assassins, agents, spies, and vigilantes are recruiting for a secret and dangerous mission to solve the murder of a very powerful God- Bhaskar. You the players will serve as one of the five positions on this elite team.

Due to the small number of positions open, character sheets will be accepted based on merit, and follow an application system. Either PM me the sheet or post in the OOC thread once I have it up. If the character is good, I will most likely accept, but keep in mind that you may be competing with other players for positions- there can only be one Ranger, only one Doctor, one Necromancer, and so on. I do not want overpowered super badass characters. I wanted flawed personalities, weaknesses, realistic people.

In addition, I will allow some characters into positions if they have none of the qualifications. For example, someone could create a dashing rogue who poses as the Diplomat and is recruited by the Order on accident, or the Order could mistake someone for their intended recruit, leading to fun mishaps down the road. Be creative with your sheets. More information on the RP is available upon request, as I'm sure I've missed something or gone over something too quickly.

Sample character sheet:

History:
@Golden Eagle: Nice character; accepted!

@Lexicon: Quite understandable, no hard feelings. Thanks for the interest, at least!

@Thorgili: Character seems good so far. I'd like to see a written description in addition to that [admitably awesome] picture.

@Grothnor: I will take that into consideration.

I'll try to have my two characters up tonight.
Nelhm is a technical village, with less than a hundred people living there (50-75 souls). Bandits will have somewhere between 15-30 members. I used the term "town" so that I could stop saying "village" so much. My bad! Sorry.

@ Lexicon: The ideal number would be around ten of fifteen, I think. I'll be willing to accept more or less, however.

Sheet lookin' good so far. I look forward to some awful poetry.

@Grothnor: I was planning on having only a single group of bandits. If enough people would like to have multiple groups of bandits, then I will fold, but until then, I would like to keep as just one group, for simplicity's sake.
Most will have to be NPCs- it would be unwise to have 20 players in the RP.
Nice sheet, Gronthor. The character is accepted, but his role as the leader of the bandit clan is not [yet]. I would like to let other players have a chance to apply for the leader.

20 members in the bandit clan seems a fair number, also. Any apposed to the figure?
Well by golly I forgot to include the history section on the character sheets. Whoopsie daisy. Thank goodness for the edit button.

Sheet looks good, Pheonix! Smith the smith is accepted. I would like to let other players get their hands in on the pie that is the recent war, however, if anyone has the desire to.

And the Laughing Geezer is a damn fine name, I must admit.
