@Altered Tundra No, I meant me...If I keep going, Medusa/Clarissa will strike and everyone turns to stone....

To be a rock, and not to roll...

@Altered Tundra: Fair enough.

@HushedWhispers: We've reached an agreement through mature, intellectual discourse. Moving forward indeed.

@HushedWhispers, I'm not trying to rant. I was just concerned about another's acceptance after mine was called into question for a similar reason. I posted that before I noticed you'd done a mass acceptance post, then added the "EDIT:" afterwards when I was thrown for a loop when you did accept it. I have no negative feelings about it, and am merely explaining why I was confused and why I consider an animated image to be anime. No harm done, right?

@Altered Tundra, the definition of animation (that pertains to our current discussion) is as follows:

The technique of photographing successive drawings or positions of puppets or models to create an illusion of movement when the movie is shown as a sequence.

Wallace and Gromit? Animated. Old video game sprites? Animated. Stop-motion video? Animated. Moving .gif images? Animated.

It's not about the content of the image, it's about what went into making it. If it has multiple frames and is an image format, it's animated. I do not wish to argue nor do I consider this post to be argumentative; I am being informative and explaining a fact. If you wish to argue, my PM inbox is always open for intellectual discussions.

@Altered Tundra, "anime" is a shortening of the word "animation" and therefore applies to all animated materials. Any .gif image that has multiple frames is referred to as an "animated .gif" and therefore is anime.

THIS POST INTENTIONALLY MADE BLANK.

@Altered Tundra, the GM has stated that anime character pictures aren't allowed. Just a heads-up in advance.

EDIT: guess it was okay? Now I'm confused.

oh my god the resemblance is uncanny

But he is a real person. An artist went with a model to a beach and drew/painted that. Ergo, Hector's image continues to fulfill your requirements.

Pardon me, but I do believe that the term "realistic images" does not in any way preclude realistic artwork.
