I apologize for my extended lack of posting. Final exams, final projects, and work have a way of making a wombo combo.

Things should be settled in the next week.
So, you've already got a posting order. That slows a game down and provides the easiest way for a game to die: one person fails to post long enough that others lose interest. On top of that slowdown, you're having every single in-character post be verified by yourself before being posted. That essentially stifles the game, makes you an extra source of delay, and can lead to a lot of control issues.

I don't want any part of any of that.
I was hoping for a bit of supernatural beyond just a name and lampshading. Combined with rule 7, I'm out.
@Melkor
I'm thinking combat-related body modification, either by magic or science.
Sorry, I didn't see this. No, this is based in real world with all of its races and species.

Would that also exclude any (seemingly) supernatural influences in the character entirely?
The embarrassment immediately showed on Alissa's face. The blush only became deeper as she fought to hide it, leaving her face only a few shades away from blood itself. However, the blush quickly disappeared once her attention was shifted from self-beration back to the meeting.

A spy?

She had been wanting a way to prove herself to her new family, but she hadn't counted on it being such a dangerous job. Nor had she expected the opportunity to arrive so soon after she joined, for that matter. Bastian seemed to have more faith in her than she'd believed, and that meant a lot to Alissa. She wouldn't let him down. She couldn't let him down.

Hector turned to her and began to speak, but before he could finish the world erupted. Explosions sounded from all around. Terror took hold of Alissa, only to be muscled away by something else - years and years of school drilling. Immediately, Alissa began to move for the emergency exit, stopping only to help Mario to his feet on her way. Throughout this, spikes of pain reached Alissa's head briefly, before being snuffed out by her body's repair mechanisms.

It wasn't until she managed to get to the stairwell that she realized she hadn't let go of Mario's hand, and had in fact dragged him out of immediate danger. She dropped the man's hand before turning back to see if she was needed to assist in the escape.
I'll likely be unable to post for most of the week.
Alissa was all sorts of uncomfortable.

First there was the restlessness. The insufferable, endless urge to move, to prowl, to hunt. She'd been told before that this was to be expected, and that it was a sign that she was growing as a pup. However, that didn't make it any easier to bear. The human in her fought to control the urges, to reign them in, and on the whole it succeeded. However, that war within her head didn't make her any more comfortable staying still - in fact, it had quite the opposite effect.

However, she'd been living with the sensation for two weeks already, so it wasn't the main factor at play. No, that was the meeting she was attending. As the newest member of the pack, Alissa was completely uncomfortable being brought into the presence of so many higher-ups. The childish pup in her screamed that she was in trouble, and the human in her froze with nervousness. One misstep and she was toast, and her life with her boyfriend ruined.

The solemnity of the atmosphere also served to put her on edge. She honestly had no idea why she had been called in to participate in so important a matter, but that mattered little at this point. Here she was, and here she would stay.

The smell of garlic made Alissa's eyes and mouth water as Bastian set the pizza onto the table. As it was her first important meeting, Alissa incorrectly assumed the pizza was for his enjoyment only, and her desire to keep a strong and cool front stopped her from asking for a slice. She even managed to keep her desire from showing outwardly!

As the important business was conducted, Alissa listened intently. The gravity of the situation made each word resound within her mind. Soon, though, a question joined the resounding words, and it slowly grew within her.

Thus, when Bastian asked for questions, her mouth moved faster than her cool charade could prevent. In a voice somewhat more cheerful than it should have been, Alissa's question flowed out of her mouth and into the room: "Why haven't we asked the police to get involved?"

Shit. She blew it.
My access to the internet will be greatly reduced next week. I'll make an effort to check the thread while I'm away, but I can't be sure I'll be able to. Verizon has spotty coverage in the area, and most other services don't have any.
