Anyway, just wanted to post to say I'm not dead. A little emergency stuff came up, and handling it has kept me occupied. I'll get around to posting when things are less busy, which should be soon.
From another thread. I forgot to post it here as well, so I'm sorry for that.
Okay. So ive just spotted a major issue with the beginning of this RP. 59°F (15°C) is not an "enjoyable" temperature. That's cold, dernit.
Post made. If there are any errors, @mention me. I will fix them.
That's T-shirt weather. Room temperature is 69°F. I'd describe the feeling as being a breezy autumn day: generally comfortable, with a hint of chill to come.

Sunlight streamed through the windows of Saint-Germain Castle into the pool, where Kouichi reclined. He sat on a blue beach chair made of a cloth as strong as canvas but nearly as soft as silk. He had placed this chair as near the center of a sunbeam as he could, though with the passage of time he was now sitting to one side of the sunbeam. He wore only a pair of trunks, leaving his largely unimpressive physique on display for all to behold.
Ah, if only the maids would wear bathing suits as well, he mused to himself. It would be so great to watch them play in the pool. Maybe I should go get a ball and see if they'd play volleyball with me. A smile crept across his face. Ah, all the bouncing and the splashing and the bouncing and the laughing... That would be heaven. Kouichi blushed slightly as he imagined all the "bouncing" a game would bring.
However, as wonderful an idea as it was to Kouichi, he didn't ask the maids to play with him. In his mind, he convinced himself that he was being considerate of the maids - after all, not everyone would want to go swimming in 15-degree weather. Plus, he told himself, if he suggested it and someone caught a cold, he'd be blamed for having the idea. He didn't want to ruin his chances with the maids, after all.
In reality, though, Kouichi was just too hesitant to ask. He didn't know if the answer would be no, and he spent more time convincing himself it would be better not to ask than he would've spent asking. All in all, it was just another day in the life of a 14-year-old self-proclaimed hero of justice.
Appearance: He normally wears a white coat over this.
Faction: Lost Worlds Alliance
Abilities: Call Linebarrel: Kouichi can summon Linebarrel to his location thanks to his link with the machine and its ability to teleport long distances.
Factor: Kouichi is a Factor, a human being that has been linked to an advanced humanoid warmachine known as a Machina. As a result, he has been injected with nanomachines that not only greatly slow down (if not completely stop) his aging but also grant him massively improved all-around physical attributes and allow him to regenerate even from dire, life-threatening wounds.
Equipment LINEBARREL: Kouichi's Machina, and the only reason he's not just some whiny schoolkid who can't defend himself from bullies. Linebarrel is directly linked to Kouichi's lifeforce, meaning that if Linebarrel is destroyed, Kouichi dies with it. This is not true in reverse. Because of the link, only Kouichi can pilot Linebarrel and the robot will act on its own to defend him if necessary. The link also gives Kouichi the abilities listed above.
Armaments: Twin katanas mounted on its forearms, which seem simple but are capable of cutting right through inferior mechs. It also possesses a powerful beam weapon known as the Executor, which is stored in its tail binders. The Executor typically serves as a beam gun, but its adjustable power settings mean it can serve as a large scale cannon or even produce a massive beam blade several times larger than the mech itself, although this last mode rapidly drains the Linebarrel's power.
Armor: Linebarrel is constructed of thick, tough alloys which are only penetrable by large anti-tank munitions. As can be seen from the photos, it also has bulky armor to deflect or stop attacks before they reach important components.
Movement: Linebarrel's bulk would normally cause a mech to move slowly and deliberately. However, the Machina is much faster than would be expected, allowing it to be a strong contender in hand-to-hand combat. Despite having no apparent wings or external thrusters, Linebarrel is also capable of flight. In underwater environments, Linebarrel's movement is unhindered - perhaps due to the mysterious force that allows it to fly.
Override Mode: Dramatically increases performance and allows for the pilot to utilize Linebarrel's teleportation abilities both offensively and defensively, a normally impossible feat. In Override Mode Linebarrel can perform both short range, line of sight teleportation and long range, coordinate-guided jumps and can weaponize its "transmission field" by compressing it into its right hand, creating a shining effect that can tear through defenses even the Executor cannot. Override Mode is, however, extremely taxing on even a Factor's body and use of its teleportation abilities makes it even more so, to the point where extended use can tear the pilot apart from the inside, beyond the nanomachines' ability to repair.
Regeneration: Nanomachines integrated within Linebarrel can repair damage taken automatically. Repairs begin as soon as the damage is taken, meaning Linebarrel can repair itself mid-battle.
Rocket Fist: What kind of self-respecting giant robot doesn't have a rocket fist attack? Linebarrel's fist returns via Linebarrel's teleportation capabilities once the attack is completed.
Personality: Kouichi believes himself to be a hero who fights for justice and holds himself to lofty standards of heroism: He must always fight when challenged. He must always stand against the bad guys. Most importantly, he is always the good guy. Kouichi's obsession with heroism and justice is at the core of his every action, decision, and thought.
However, he is not without his vices. Kouichi does not know his own limits and is prone to work himself into situations he cannot handle himself. He is cocky and arrogant, which makes it difficult for him to make friends. His pride and overconfidence could easily be his undoing in battle.
Short Bio: Kouichi is technically dead. After being bullied into buying food for his school's gang, he took a shortcut through a forest shrine, where a Machina appeared above him and fell to the earth, crushing him. As Kouichi lay dying, the Machina noticed his life fading away and made him a Factor, saving his life, granting him unnatural strength, and making him the Machina's pilot. Once a crybaby and a magnet for bullies, Kouichi's first act was to dispense justice unto those who had caused him injustice. From there, he decided to become a warrior of justice, a hero who protected the good people of the world.
A few months after becoming linked to Linebarrel, the threat of the Anti-Spiral loomed over Kouichi's home. The would-be hero immediately boarded Linebarrel and set off on a quest to protect his home from this new threat.
If we're fighting the Anti-Spiral, we're going to need giant robots.

Personality Cold and professional. Conducts himself with an air of elegance befitting a high-class butler.
Powers: Stealth - Butlers are to be as part of the furniture, there for use and taken for granted. Speed - Service with a smile. Materialization - Anything a butler might bring to his master.
Weapons: Thrown cutlery Poisons
Fighting Style: Grace
Signature Moves: Poisoned Meals
History: For millenia the Cavendish family has produced great butlers, and Alfred might be the best of his bloodline. Raised for excellence, he served only the finest of employers, Sir Roah Gates. However, as the years passed, Alfred grew displeased with his work. One night, when his master held one of his many yearly banquets for the rich, Alfred poisoned his food and absconded with his fortune.
Now, Alfred works to further his own inscrutable goals by serving other villains.
Skills: Cooking, driving, caretaking, and other butlery tasks.
Weaknesses: Observant criminal investigators.
Other: The Butler signs his crime scenes by leaving a platter containing a note that reads, "I did it."
@SilverDawn The stealth presents itself when in an investigative setting, such as a whodunnit arc. He may also begin an encounter "cloaked", and later "reveal" himself to the heroes/investigators/peanut gallery. Once revealed or noticed, it becomes useless until he's out of mind of those who noticed him.
The speed is a bit of an interesting quandary. When off-camera, he can cover large distances nigh instantly to come to his master's call. On-camera, he's a normal speedster, focusing on outspeeding foes rather than outmuscling them. Not on par with The Flash or anything like *teleprots behined u*, but still respectably fast.
His materialization is limited to anything you'd find in a generic high-class mansion,. Antique weapons, bottles of wine, cutlery (hint hint), and other items. It's also limited to things he can carry himself, so no sudden suits of armor or nuclear weapons (the latter being outside the mansion rule as well). I'd consider pets well within bounds here as well.
