I'm always at that point. Cheap fucking bottles of whiskey, drinking from the bottle because it's quicker than just pouring shots or mixed drinks.

Being able to drink $20 whiskey from a plastic bottle is the will power of a god. I can't smell that shit anymore without feeling nauseated.

I told the host that I don't want to stay overnight which means I'll have to go home tipsy if I drink. I just find the idea embarrassing.

You can bring your own alcohol, and don't share it. Get something that tastes good, so something fruity. That's what I do since I can only handle stouts and shit, so if it's a hard liquor gathering I'll go with a pack of Mike's Hard or something similar. Redd's is good too if you like cider, or Angry Orchards. You don't have to bring enough to get tipsy, and even if you get tipsy you won't act stupid. It's cool to bring a little just so you stay included.
