5e is an utter piece of shit with some really fucked up CS designs. Take the worst parts of 4e and 3.5 and combine them.

Also: 4e has two shifter race types for players. You'll be golden.

For the sake of my own convenience regarding Character Sheets, it'll be 4th edition. However, I understand the 4e is entirely flawed in its skill checks (as in, you sometimes need to fucking crit your perception to understand you're looking at a red shirt), so the skill checks would be homeschooled to mirror 5e. However, by allowed 4e it'd enable all players to have access to shit tons more of player races and classes to suit up in, as well as a shit ton more items and mounts to use too. I.e., 4e characters can be revenants that are already made into the system, or changelings, without going through the trouble of balancing these races out.

So essentially the way I'm going about it would be like making an expansion pack to all of 3.5e.

Also, because it's based off of the book I'm writing, all the D&D typical lore and mythology would be scrapped. But I would be dishing out all of the required background information to players once they are set with their characters. So just like how not everyone knows everything about the world, I will make sure that the players are restricted to that too so it'd be a learning experience as the RP progresses. You'll be able to learn more about my custom world as your progress and interact with it.

I've played tabletop RPs with some of you, so I know that you guys are actually good players. I was wondering if any of you would be interesting in a D&D campaign that'd preferably take place from May 17th or 18th until August 2nd or 3rd.

Magi-genocide, world domination and rebellion all tied into one action-y campaign, with some hella nice plot progression.

There are gods, just not the D&D gods. Each region has its own common religion, and then scattered uncommon religions.

I'm going to send everyone the info regarding the world once I get their character sheets in.

EDIT) Basically, anyone who has full interest in participating in the campaign will be given all of the information that they would need for their own character. I will post everything about the nations in a little bit from now in an OOC thread.

Well, the canon D&D deities are not going to be used for the RP. That's why it'd be possible for you to become a revenant.

The antagonist of the RP, the Kingdom of Nirshire, doesn't just go on the genocide without trying to reap from it. Essentially, when mages are captured they are given an option to conform into the Nirshire military under a curse oath (a magical branding that'd prevent them from swaying to the other side), or death. Your character becoming a revenant could be the result of them trying to experiment outside of their curse branding, due to the die or die scenario the branding gives captured magi.

It will be coming into the story, and play a major role. It'll be directly associated with the world domination concept. Once it happens, everything will sky rocket in terms of plot.

To be honest, because of the setting I'm not comfortable with you being a revenant right off the bat. You can become one later into the campaign, though. That'd be pretty rad to have you undergo a drastic change.
