Well that's just silly.

That's the intent at least!
Do you consider Chaos, Death, and things of celestial origin? Is it something we can down play or is it to wide a scope for you to believe that we can reign in?

Well that depends. Something of the scope like The Grim Reaper or Loki *for Chaos* is essentially making you a force of nature or a God that can do whatever they want, so those examples I'll say avoid.

Something associated with the concept of Death *like a banshee for example* and Chaos would be fine. Hell, their job could be something like that. Maybe you help guide souls to the afterlife.

Celestial origin: Like an Angel or Demon, absolutely *I'm probably forgetting a ton of other beings associated with this* Just don't be the descendant of Lucifer or Michael.

I should mention, you guys can get pretty creative. It doesn't need to be a set mythological being, I'm fine with twisting some to suit your needs to an extent. The example I always use is a centaur doesn't need to be half horse, half human. You can make the lower half a tiger, a spider, make them half bear, that's fine. Again, this is a lighthearted, laid back RP. The goal is to have fun, so if you have an idea of what you'd like to see/do, tell me. I'm more than happy to incorporate ideas from you guys.

Also, to an earlier question:

Is this a monster-only world, or will there be actual humans somewhere else?

Let's make it interesting. Humans live in the same town/world, that should give some fun moments. Consider it a world where humans and other races have begun to intermingle for the first time.
Victor watched everyone break into small pairs and start chit chatting, still remaining in his seat in the back. Robin and Suzumi were chatting in Russian nearby. He caught the gist of it, though his own Russian was so broken that he missed a lot between the two fluent speakers. He did catch that Robin was laying on the charm and flirting up a storm, and this made the German grin. Nadia and Sloan were still at their table. The American Murphy had approached Aimee, seemed he remembered her. The late comer, Ellis, and Nellie were talking about...video games? Victor stood up, shooting his cuffs and straightening his tie for a moment. His options were simple. Stay in the back, and be that one Dagula stereotype who watched and smiled and scared everybody. Or approach the only two who hadn't paired up yet, Duece and Arryn. Well, when in Rome...he adjusted his glasses, polished shoes clipping as he walked towards the two, and gave a smile and a short wave.

"Hallo, I vill be playing ze part of ze sird veel tonight. It is a pleasure to meet you, Frau Zech. It is reassuring to know ve vill have support of a Logi during our time here, ja?"

Contrary to what apparently everyone else felt, Victor was quite fond of Logi. They were immensely useful and reliable, especially to a specialist like himself. A drone in the right place or a camera giving out at the right time was often the difference between Victor succeeding at his objective or simply ending up a bullet sponge. His blue eyes went over to Deuce, arms behind his back in a relaxed posture.

"Und you, Herr Marlowe. Anosser Lessad, und one with ze reputation of being quite ze speed demon."

He spread his arms with a wide grin.

"So! Vat shall ve talk about?"
I guess the only thing I'd want to say at the moment is that I fully agree with things diverting away from combat and evil. But I do like the idea of conflict between characters, whether it be a conflict in goals, natural inacceptance of someone, or just behaviours that would be normal for some, but disgusting to other (eg; vampires feeding on blood).

Well, let's see if I can clarify to help you out.

A vampire feeds on blood. That's totally fine, and as I mentioned previously, I'm not opposed to having creatures addicted to particular substances/prey.

However, what I'm NOT wanting is a vampire that hunts/preys on the inhabitants of the town, and is thus a villain. The general purpose of the RP is interpersonal character dynamics *which is a fancy way of saying interact with each other*. Conflicts are absolutely 100% acceptable and even encouraged, I don't want this to be everyone happy and loving *that's not fun*

So for said vampire, he needs an alternative source of blood other than the hapless citizens of the town. You can assume in this world that has such a menagery living together, there'd be sources for such creatures *medical donor blood that can be purchased, animal blood, etc*.

That does NOT mean everyone will still like that they feed on blood, which can be a source of conflict.

In short: Your conflict can't be that the vampire has preyed upon your child and you want revenge, but it can be that you dislike that vampires eat blood, and as such you immediately dislike or outright hate vampires you meet based off said assumption. Or if you're a vamp, dealing with said prejudice.

Does that clarify?

Might be interested in being some kind of vodnik/vodyanoi.

I keep visualizing the military vehicle, despite knowing that it's a slavic fey.

OOC will be up once I get off work today.
Though I'm sure she's not really a 'myth' type creature, so not sure how you feel about that.

There are actually cat spirits in Japanese myths called Bakenekos that could work.

Is this a monster-only world, or will there be actual humans somewhere else? I have an idea about a beast with an addiction for human flesh, but has found himself a harmless substitute for it.

Haven't figured that part out yet to be honest. I'm not totally opposed to the idea of the addiction, though as I said, this isn't a dark gritty RP with evil shenanigans and death around every corner.

Well, I'll work on an OOC then!
So awhile ago *I mean a looooooooooong while ago* I made an RP called Myth Academy, which followed the school lives of various mythical and legendary beings in a giant academy. But then it died, as RP's invariably do.

But, the folks involved all seemed to have a really good time, I know I did, and it was very fun despite the short lifespan it had. There were a lot of wonderful people with great characters and some awesome interactions. So I'm rekindling it, but with some modifications.

Who would be interested in a more relaxed RP that focuses on interpersonal character dynamics and relationships *I always encourage romances heavily* that, while not set in a school, is set instead in a small, modern day town that has a diverse mix of creatures from myth, folklore, and legends, such as centaurs, sirens, oni, dullahans, basically any kind of folklore or mythic beast that you can think of that isn't some cosmic horror.

I will allow vampires, but I tend to restrict them heavily to the popularized concept of sun burns exposed skin, you need blood to survive, you are sterile, no reflections, garlic is beyond repulsive, and you must sleep in a coffin. This is mostly because there's about 800 different versions of vamps and invariably an argument will spring up about SOMETHING with them, so this is entirely for simplicity sake.

Since the focus would be on character relationships, you would be expected to set goals for your character, be it find true love, overcome their past, become the best *insert job here* or whatever. Obviously, whenever you choose to remove an over arcing plot for such a free roam idea, the pace will be set by the players. So this would be a more laid back, slower paced RP that focuses on character interaction. That means:

- No heavy combat *I won't say no fighting, because who knows, some of us may get into brawls from heated arguments or rivalries, but the focus of the RP would not be combat based*
- No evil, insane, or sadistic characters. You can be dark, gruff, maybe even mean spirited, but you aren't a villain.
- The players will be setting their own goals. Meaning your character should have a drive, passion, or reason for being there. Not having a focus or direction generally means your character will be exceedingly hard to write for or that you'll have no reason to get involved.

There will be town events, things that occur from time to time that your characters may wish to participate in *or potentially be forced to participate in, depending on the event* to help give impetus.

I would like a somewhat larger group, mostly because I know a lot of people tend to drop out due to life and responsibility, but also because this particular type of RP works well with more people, mostly due to giving you so many different wonderful personalities to interact with.

So, thoughts?
Oh nuts, did I call him Dagula? Fixing.

EDIT: Fixed. The branch names and such still just kinda jumble together when I write.
Sometimes it's really hard trying to maintain an accent through a post, mostly cause I can never remember if I chose S or Z.

EDIT: Suzumi and Victor would have the best conversations.
S - "I am not getting of the joke."
V - "It vasn't a joke? I don't sink so...Mister Murphy, was sat a joke?"
Jacob - "What is wrong with you two, YES IT WAS A JOKE!"
S - "But where is the line of punch?"
J - "Punchline."
V - "Sat's vat she said, ja?"
J - "No, look I-JUST SAY WHO'S THERE!"
S - "But the knock knock has ended."
V - "Americans have vierd humor..."
S - "This is for truth."
"Motherfucking assfuck!"

I think my favorite part of this is I'm envisioning it with a deadpan face. Like completely deadpan, but his body is spazzing out like crazy.
"No zank you Aces."

Victor smiled at Aimee, declining the cigarette as she lit up. The contrast between the two was almost a solid wall. It looked partially like Victor was some uptight rich boy looking for a wild fling. The German remembered the woman though. Hard not to, with the energy of a rabid squirrel, but she was a maestro with vehicles. He drained the last of his coffee, wiping his mouth with a handkerchief produced from his coat pocket as he set the book down. As he looked up, he already found the woman wandering off. A small smile as he watched her sit back down at another table, pull out the sketchbook, and begin drawing idly. Victor chose to remain in his seat though, watching the others quietly. Everyone began to filter out, leaving only the Butei agents and the Barista.
---------------
The German didn't know he would be working with Batman. As Robin removed his disguise, Victor couldn't help but tap his chin in slight amusement. The disguise hadn't been necessary, though it was certainly theatrical. That would explain a lot of what he heard about Robin through the academy. He studied the profiles that flitted by on the holographic projection. He didn't really need to, he probably could just request a lot more information from Dagula about his team mates but then, there wasn't any current reason to do so and would probably breed distrust if he went snooping behind their backs.

Not that they would ever know.

Introductions came next. Competent all around, to be sure, if a bit...bombastic. Robin seemed very dramatic and keen to use heavy explosives. Possibly to get the entire team involved. The German was more amused that they had to strike a deal with the criminals, but he wasn't team leader. Sloan seemed friendly and worried about what the others thought of him. Understandable, with a bloodline like his and the reputation the agents at Dagula had. The Assault butei all seemed suitably trigger happy. That was good, it meant during missions the enemy would focus on them more and Victor less. He waited for the sniper to finish speaking before raising a hand from his table, still not joining the large circle of people in the center. He gave a warm smile. No reason to sugar coat the truth, it's not like anyone here would shy away from killing.

"Ja, I am Victor, Arzt to most. I am Dagula, specializing in vetvork und silensing. I am also doktor, so you could consider me a field medic as vell, zere is pretty much no injury I cannot fix und I can help wiz any medical concerns. I vill not be on ze front too often, but behind ze enemy lines. If you have a target giving you hard time, simply tell me. I vill silence zem. I also, much like Mister Black, am information gatherer. It is a pleasure to meet you all und I look forward to vorking with you."

He smiled, then raised a finger as if he forgot something, folding one leg over the other.

"Oh, und I am very gut at massages, so if your muscles hurt after missions, I can help!"
