He had saved her. Had taken Envy with him as he skidded across the ground. She was still wrangling the civilians and by the time she had noticed what had happened it was too late. Envy had gotten her way. "Galax-" Shadowbird turned only to get punched with inhuman force into a wall. The civilians were released and stood behind Galaxy who was now hovering above the ground before Shadow.
Pain shot through her body as she slammed into the wall. Galaxy... It felt like her insides had been crushed. Her hair fell everywhere, her mask was askew. For a moment, maybe even longer, she could hardly move. Was anything broken? Probably. Would she stand and fight? Yes of course. In another moment. "Galaxy." Her eyes snapped open, blue marbles piercing into his soul. It was two hundred and two versus one. Her partner was long gone and somehow she had to get him back. But to get through him to Envy would be nearly impossible.
Shadowbird stood up, stumbling slightly, her knees shaking. "Hey sweetheart. You can't do this, okay? So you and your friends move aside while I take care of some business with Envy over there. alright?" She stood up straight and placed her hand on her hip. Her voice was slightly tremble-y. "Ahem..." Shadow cleared her throat as she removed her extendable bo staff from her back. "Move."

@Mr_pink This is how I was thinking it would play out. Whip goes down to stop Berserker. Shadowbird shows up and starts getting her ass kicked. when she is about to be crushed either by Berserker or a falling building (you can choose if you'd like) he pushes her out of the way. he can either die a fast death or a slow death by having his ribs puncture his lungs.
*claps* not going to lie. that was absolutely beautiful. Not even kidding.

She was watching and waiting. Until finally it happened, Berserker escaped. Her eyes widened. "Oh no!" Ari hopped up off of the couch and grabbed her backpack. Running upstairs she changed into her Shadowbird outfit, placing the mask over her eyes to finish the look.
"Ari honey!" Her mom called from downstairs.
"Oh crap. not now, mom's home early, what the hell?"
"Ari, I'm home! why don't you come downstairs, sweetheart?"
"Uh. I'm doing homework mom. I can't really stop it's due tomorrow and I want to finish it before I get to bed so... yea!" She knew her mom would probably come visit her so she removed her mask and her cape and wrapped a dirty towel around herself opening just a crack to peer out. "You can come say hi though!"
Ari's mother came upstairs and smiled at her daughter. "Hey! How was your day?"
"Good! I just got out of the shower and have to finish my homework and then get to bed, big test tomorrow. I'll see you in the morning okay?"
"Oh, alright."
Ari closed the door quickly and replaced her mask and cape. "I'm coming Whip, hold on." With that, Shadowbird teleported out her open window out onto the street and then across several rooftops to get to the scene of the incident.
Berserker smashed through a building and then ran across a street to pick up a cop car and crush it in between his two hands. "WHERE'S YOUR HEROES NOW?!" He growled as cops shot at him but the bullets did nothing. He picked up another cop car and chucked it far away. "PATHETIC"
Things were getting worse and worse. Berseker had already crushed several people, not killing them but severely injuring them. If someone did not intervene soon more people would die.

Alright! sounds good to me :D
everyone thinks he's dead. and I figured like the same scientists who experimented on newborns got his body somehow and found a way to bring him back to life.
