Okay, so, now we've got that out of the way, i suppose we should do the plot now

what happens first?
Does the Threat just fall out of a giant rip in space time? Like, it falls onto it's stomach and stands up?
or does it just appear from behind a hill or out of a giant hole? out of the ocean, even?

Wait, are they born from egg sacks or do they just peel right off from the Threat? if they are born from egg sacs, they could just be different organisms that tag along with the Threat from it's home dimension.

The jetpack people could arrive as reinforcements.

What do you think some of the Threat's minions should look like? We should have a flying one at the least. They all have to be reasonable size, of course. Maybe the Threat has egg sacs growing on it that burst into medium sized creatures for the UNT to fight?

Okay cool.
I mean 100 feet is pretty big.

That's a lot of climbing. So they'll need jetpacks... How about a small group of them (one of the hero characters involved?) starts climbing up the Threat to get to the top. They do climbing jumps, all sorts of treachery in the ridiculous climb until they get to the shoulders. Then, the face shifts and becomes a giant mouth with giant tentacle tongues that just swallows the rest of them up. (Maybe start out with ten, have like two by the time they get to the shoulders)

Yeah, sort of like that. just like a neckhole with a bunch of tentacles that kind of form together into a writhing mass of grossness. It uses it's tentacle mouth to kind of envelop people into it when it eats. What a pleasant death.

I think, considering how big it is (100 feet, yeah?) I think shooting out nails tipped would be a bit unnecessary. I think just uprooting trees and throwing them would be better for forces on the ground. The acid-fungus and hivemind creatures would take care of any unwanted guests on the Threat's shoulders.

The fungus, I imagine, is like a conical sort of shape with a top part that sprouts from the top. It kind of moves around and detects movement and fires globs of acid or emits poisonous gas depending on the situation. With all of the fungus together co-ordinated they could create a sizeable projectile with a lot of force behind it.

I can imagine a scene where a hover-craft gets nailed by some acid, and the acid just sticks to the craft and dissolves it's hull and engines until it spirals out of control and slams into the ground.

I like this being the hub for the Threat battles. Good plan.

Could we just do both? have a Canon-1 Threat where they just take over one planet, and then do Canon-Threat where the Threat is capable of
spreading to other planets?

Like, we could have the War for Oryu, and for Canon-1, that'll be the end of it. No one goes to Oryu anymore except for some unlucky protagonists. And then, maybe at some point in time if people are interested, we could do a Canon-Threat with some other people where it has the capability to evolve and attack other planets.

But right now, let's just do Oryu.

So, for clarity sake, this IS taking place before a majority of the Andreemea stories? So it's the UNT in the height of it's power, but since it's in the past, the technology is weaker... Okay, sounds good. By the time the other stories come around, the Threat will have taken over the entire planet so even orbital bombardments couldn't uproot it. It'd be like bombing the planets surface. No point, really.

It's pretty easy to come up with some characters that will only be used for one RP and will probably die or something. I don't think you really need to plan out some 2d characters until you flesh them out later.

Okay, so, what should the Threat look like in detail?

100 feet tall, big mushy wormy head, a hivemind of different organisms working together with fungus and plants covering it that shoot acid-poison. Also, since it's so big, it has different animals living inside it that assist in it it's conquest. It's hands are just three big fingers that grab and smash, and they fall down to the bottom of his knees. It's feet are... I dunno. What should it's feet look like?

ImportantNobody's and Stekkmens big ole' planned battle!
Please look at roleplayerguild.com/topics/89316-fated.. if you want to know about what Important and I are attempting to accomplish here.

First up, this will take place in the Andreemea universe, a sci-fi world where both science and fiction tend to happen. ImportantNobody will me writing from the perspective of the UNT, the galaxies' police force, or the United Nations. The good guys, you could say, although some other inhabitants of the Andreemea canon may tend to disagree with you. They are a military force that Important will get into with their design later.

I, Stekkmen, will be writing from the perspective of "The Threat" a new alien species that appears through a dimensional portal. Standing at about 100 feet tall, the Threat will be facing off against the UNT in this first Fated Matchup. I will describe the Threat in greater detail in the Characters thread.

We'll be fighting on the ice-blue planet of Oryu, a rocky, unfriendly landscape of rocks, blue grass and white trees.
