Hey, my name is Noah and I'm kind of new to the whole rp scene. I've done some casual play, but nothing to serious. Over the past few months though, I have been thinking about how great it would be to have a prison rp. When I looked for one on the internet, I could not find one. So I decided to take the responsibility into my own hands and create one from scratch.
My basic idea is to set this all in a fictional prison on an island, similar to Alcatraz. This hell hole is where only the worst criminals are sent too, after they have committed horrible crimes (or been framed for them). The basis of the rp will be to survive this experience in any way you see fit. This includes joining a gang, going lone wolf, becoming a snitch, the possibilities are endless. Ideally, I would like to focus the story are around a group of different race gangs, and then the main plot will be focusing on how they interact with each other. The position of guards is still something I'm not sure of, but even if they are npc they can still have a big impact.
The only problem I have with this vision is that I am not so sure of the technical side of the rp. I would like to have the players do whatever they want, but when trying to do an action, roll a 20 sided die and post the number of the result. Based on this, the gm(s) would pm the outcome and it will be incorporated in the next post by the player. I know there is a lot more work than what I have said, but this is the basic feeling I have been getting. I really need fellow GMs to apply, who would also be allowed to play separately. But those who apply need to be invested.
