Why do people say "Tuna Fish sandwich"? That's like saying "Chicken Bird sandwich."

Bio

I never know what to put in these things. I'm just a guy who likes making stories. If I'm not roleplaying, I'm writing my own stuff or just creating random characters. I'm particularly fond of superheroes but I also really like character driven stuff and tend to dive into the details of a character. No character can be too detailed as far as I'm concerned.

I'm kind of tempted to make a character for this (if you'll have me) but I have a question. I noticed you have a number of returning characters so will this story be continuing from a previous game?
I'm holding off my next post until I get a response from Gabby and Terry. No rush though, just explaining my thoughts.
Do you mean Cammy? I considered posting again but it's probably best if I wait for Terry to reply too.
Cammy shuffled along the hallways, pulling on her shoe as she went. She had been napping when they brought the new girl in and wished she hadn't been. She would have liked to have been there when she woke up. "Oh well" she sighed to herself as she turned the corner, noticing Lucas ahead of her. She followed quietly behind him as he muttered to himself about normals. It was slightly comforting to know that he thought of her as normal. She didn't even consider herself normal. Hell, the word "normal" felt weird to her now. As Lucas stepped inside the room and questioned Ryuu about her name, Cammy squeezed between them and took a few steps towards the bed. She made sure not to get too close though, knowing that this girl had been through an ordeal and had just woken up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people. She didn't want to frighten her more than she was already. "Hi" she said, almost sheepishly with a little wave, "I'm Cammy. How are you feeling?"
OK that was just a quick post to show where Kai is in case anyone wants to interact with him. Quick question though Kirah. I'm not sure if you mentioned this already but what type of ship is the Herald? Is it a Firefly?
Kai drummed his fingers, his other hand cradling his chin, as he waited impatiently for the nav computer to reboot. He had been getting ghost signals from it all day and spent the last half hour trying to repair the gorram thing. The captain would throttle him if he didn't have it back online before it was time to leave. There was little he could do now but he was confident this would fix it...Fairly confident anyway. His fingers stopped drumming as he glanced over at the communication array. Maybe he should use this time to send a message home. He hadn't spoken to his parents in a long time. He wasn't even sure they would want to talk to him. His mother especially. They hadn't exactly parted on the best of terms the last time they spoke. Ever since the war, when Kai abandoned his post and went awol, his mother had basically disowned him. The old man was less obvious but Kai knew he was disappointed too. It had been years and they had only spoken a few times since then. As he slowly reached for the comms array though, the sound of the nav computer finally coming back online snapped him out of his thoughts of home and back to the moment. He would leave the message for later. He had work to do anyway. Everything seemed to be working fine now and he breathed a short sigh of relief as he sat back in his chair.
So I can have Cammy barge in? She's still got that drive to help people from her time working in her dad's clinic. She could help with that nasty headache too. :D I'll get posting as soon as I can.
I changed Kai's image. Nothing major but I think this one better represents the picture I have of him in my head.
My character's up. Although looking at some of the weights of the other characters, I think I may be way off with mine.
Yeah, with that height and estimated muscle level 185 is very unhealthy. Victoria is lighter than Kai should be.
I imagine him to be physically somewhere around the size of the wrestler John Cena. Granted, I was way off with 185 lbs but the sources I've seen say he's somewhere around the 230 to 250 mark. I'd say we were potentially both off. At 250, I think Victoria would be on the heavy side. Gonna fix mine anyway.

First Name: Kai Last Name: Malik Age (DOB): 26 (June 12th, 2490) Height: 6ft 2 Weight: 230 lbs General Appearance: Kai is fairly physically intimidating, with a muscular physique and dark eyes. He's quite a good looking individual with an often wry smile on his face. Reason for being on the ship: He flies the gorram thing. Persuasion: Independant (Formerly Alliance) Military Service: Served the Alliance as a pilot until he grew sick of the bloodshed and went AWOL. General Skills: Kai's skills tend to be physical in nature. He's a talented fighter and is surprisingly nimble for a man his size, with lightning reflexes. He also has a mean left hook. Talents: Piloting. He's damn good at it too. Flaws: Kai freely admits that he ain't the smartest around. He's by no means stupid but anything that requires him to put a lot of thought into it? That's not Kai's area. Gear: Kai carries a gun more for appearances than anything else. He's not fond of using it. He also carries a knife, a personal Cortex terminal and a flask of some god awful alcohol hidden in his jacket. Personality Traits: Kai tends to be fairly quiet and soft spoken. He rarely raises his voice but when he does, he's really mad. He has been known to be somewhat overconfident in himself (especially his own attractiveness) but it's a quiet confidence. He doesn't brag or blow his own horn. He also tends to take on something of a big brother attitude to the rest of the crew. He's always willing to lend a shoulder to cry on and tries his best to make sure everyone is doing good. History: Flying was all Kai ever wanted to do. He wanted to soar free. As a child he would daydream about one day becoming a pilot. So much in fact that he rarely focussed on his school work. When he was old enough and after he had badgered his dad enough, the old man started giving him piloting lessons. Kai took to flying like a duck to water. He seemed born for this. As he grew, Kai would spend as much of his free time as he could in his dads old junker of a shuttle...right up until he crashed it. It wasn't his fault though, that other ship came out of nowhere. Or at least that's what he told his dad. In truth, he had been trying to impress a pretty girl with some equally pretty flying. Eventually, a slightly more mature Kai was recruited into the Alliance military where his natural talent for piloting was put to good use. For a while, Kai loved this gig. He got to fly every day and the ladies loved a man in uniform. But then the reality of war began to sink in. Seeing people die every day...The endless bloodshed...This wasn't why he had joined up. He grew sick of seeing people die. On both sides. No longer willing to be a part of it all, Kai went awol. He ran from it all. But he was followed. The Alliance didn't much appreciate their people running out on them and eventually tracked Kai down. He was arrested and sentenced to time in prison. Kai served his time, all the while growing embittered towards the alliance for the way they treated him. But he was eventually released back into the 'verse. Since then, Kai has been wandering, trying to find his place. Trying to fly free.
