I don't respond and instead open the box, showing her what lay inside. The band of metal is black and sleek, she can tell it's scales from a certain very rare black dragon, extinct now. The gem is red, with what seems like a raging inferno trapped inside. "The metal band is made from a species of black dragon, extinct for a long time. It was renowned for it's dark, beautiful scales. The gem, I know nothing about. Other than the name, this is the Dragon Fire Ruby. I've never had a reason to use this ring before... I was saving it for the perfect occasion..." I smile at Lisa. "I think this is it." I go to one knee. "Lisa... will you marry me?"

She smiles, and with lava tears streaming down her cheeks nods yes.

"But there's more." I say. "I realized something when I saw you like this. You're beautiful. Your flames are beautiful. So, so beautiful. And I don't want anything to happen to those flames. I want to protect your fire from anyone who'd destroy it. I want to be with you..." I quickly draw the little box, holding it in my hands.

She gasps and raises a hand to her mouth.
"Is that...a ring box?" She asks.

"You mean you forgot throwing him into a black hole, and nearly killing me too?" He asks.

"Listen, I'm not good with words... I trip and stumble over them trying to find the right ones constantly... And I normally end up saying something stupid or don't say it exactly like I want to. So, I'm just going to come out and say what I am thinking." I pull her closer. "I love you."

You see the tip of her hair and her cheeks turn a slight pinkish red, and she smiles.
"I love you too...." She says.

He looks fairly pissed.
"You forgot killing one of our most powerful enemies, who at least deserved to be remembered. That honestly sickens me." He says before opening a portal. "Out." He says.

I draw back from her after a while, the need to breath overpowering me. I look at her. To anyone else, she'd probably just be a mass of flames. Even in humanoid form, most people would only see her as something able to cause destruction. But there is more to fire than that. Flames aren't just red and yellow, destruction wreaking monsters. Flames were beautiful, there was so much more to them than you could possibly imagine! And right now, I'm staring at the most beautiful flame I'd ever witnessed. "Lisa..."

"Creed...." She says, hugging you and resting her head on your chest.
