Mary smiles when Burt holds her. She tugs his robes and sucks her thumb. Her eyes look up at Burt and are a very bright icey blue.
Burt smiles at her, before stretching his face around with his spare hand to make it look funny.

Jake walks through the door, to find quite a colorful scene. Magic was being used, which was the first surprised. The second, from a brief glance around, was that at least three of those present were obviously mages, based on their choice of dress. Three mages in one place, the most he'd seen his entire life. No wonder the locals had left the bar: not many would risk offending a mage, let alone three. Deciding to cut to the matter at hand, after a brief appraisal of the situation, Jake interupted. "The child must go to the orphanage. However, to be frank..... what brings three Mages to this lowly little bar?"
The drunken elf springs up, and picks up the girl, before spitting out a concentrated form of the acholcho into a mug as to cure his drunkeness.
"Ey! I was the one who took time to pick her up when everyone else was drowning in drink...." he says, looking at the other three mages.

Miepolu has just about had enough of the elf. He normally is able to put up with their annoying ways incredibly well, but when deciding between a little girl and an elf, well, there was no contest. He almost imperceptibly moves his hands under his robe, causing the ale in a nearby tankard to leave it's container and fly into the elf, washing him away. It was only enough to get him away from the girl, but not enough to harm him. Plus he was bored and thought it'd be funny to see the elf's reaction.
The elf turns to the torrent of ale, and his mouth opens and stretches into a huge o shape as he drinks the ale.
"Ahh.....Good stuff!" He says, before spinning around and passing out.

Using this method, he can store a virtually infinite amount of goods in this space, as well as stepping into and out of the space to move to different locations, although he needs to have seen the location to travel in such a way. This space is referred to as the Vault in aranological terms.The power to move objects into and out of the Vault is extended to all objects Jake can see. By only moving part of an object, he can rend most physical objects into pieces, although living objects cannot be so seperated, due to some aspect of the Soul, or Life Energy. Furthermore, Jake cannot move living beings through the space other than by touching them, and thus phasing them. Beings can live for an indefinite period of time within the Vault, as if in stasis, Jake can phase living beings out of the vault with range of sight, no touch required due to the Vault, in a way, being connected to Jake's Soul or Life Energy.None can be harmed or damaged within the Vault, making it the ultimate safe haven, as well as the ultimate prison, and beings within will not notice the passing of time. One can be kept for years, and emerge as if mere moments had passed. This also prevents wear of items. Mary sticks her tounge out at Burt and keeps wiggling to try and get him to let her go. She beguins to whine a bit.
Burt sets her down.
"What is wrong squiggles?" He asks her.

"what do you want? aside from to heckle the poor orphans here?" he asks groggily as he turns to face the full elf and take his headphones off
"Well me flight was interrupted by this place, so I need to find some more bandits....." He says, still holding to Mary. "Not to mention I couldn't leave her here and not worry, she is a baby after all...no need to let her be alone." he says.

Mary wiggles trying to get Burt to put her down.
"Hey now squiggles....I am gonna be your new papa ok?" He says, before making a funny face.

Mary smiles at him and Burt notices there are spots of dried up blood, the baby however is not harmed.The blood smells like a dragons blood and a humans blood.Mary pokes burts nose and chuckles.
Burt sniffles when she pokes him.
"Huh....if her folks are dead.....Then she is like birdman! I will raise her to be a hero...." Burt thinks.
"I will take care of her then." He says to the human.
