((I was planning on having Burt be forced be Jake to go through the legal streams to retrieve Mara. Jake would then feel obliged to keep an eye on Burt, while transporting Creed around the world to disaster areas, and they'd form a good team. Tyki would tag along for some reason too, although I hadn't thought of one yet.))

((I see, but realistic that would lead to a long sub plot that would be going against the more free form flow I wished for this rp. I want it so even when I am not here people can mess around in the world, but having us all together limits that. When the need arises I know how to get everyone's attention for more plot based stuff. Also, burt hates the human government, who all humans listen to. All races are under the jurisdiction of the government lead by their race. The orcs, elves, dragonkin and humans each have a separate government, but this was to be shown off later when the group would be contacted by said governments. I was hoping to just have things be chill at first easing people in before I throw you guys into the frying pan.))

((Wrong, it is a antimage weapon. A amulet that grants magic resistance, but when added to a mage makes them far more resistant that the normal amount their magic is used to working though. I also said to stop with the adoption thing and you persisted so I pulled out one of the anti-mage weapons making the rp a good deal harder from now on. Also I am gm, so what I say goes. I just want things to be fun for everyone and from what I see Noha would rather want Mary to go with burt than to an orphanage. This is meant to be fun, not a serious roleplay. I mean look at the title for gods sake.))

At the same time, Ysmir finds himself encased in a steel harness, with small holes for breathing, which is then reinforced by bands of titanium running horizontally across the human-shaded coffin. An effective and powerful restraint, while not lethal, sufficient to hold the psychotic mage, thinksJake from his perch outside the bar, before disappearing once more into the Vault.

Jake finds he himself cannot enter the vault, as if something is upping his magic resistance so even his won't effect him.

Jake reached up and touched the girl, and she disappeared. "the girl is now in an interdimensional space known as the Vault. Don't worry, she is quite safe. However, were I to die, the space would collapse, with her in it. Whereas I have never tested it, I believe a collapsing pocket dimension would be fatal." Jake looked at the tiny elf sternly, his fists balling into fists. "You are threatening me with violence in order to break the law. If you truly wished to adopt the child, you could perfectly legally have signed the papers, and become her foster parent. However, instead, you will fight me to prevent her from being led to the safety of the government. Forgive me if I do not believe your word after you have so blatantly lied about yourself before."

He looks enraged as he grows to the size of a large orc.
"I want you to see something..." He growls, as he turns around and lets his robe fall away from his back, showing his shirt being shredded but his pants oddly still baggy. On his back is many scars from what looks like lashing.
"I know of the evil men commit. Look at me....That is what your government....your systems did to me. The governments ran by man, show little mercy to us other races. You human mages are the ones who squander your powers on selfish wants and needs, and who use it to crush those who defy them....Like my family....Remember the war they speak of 390 years ago.....where the combined forces of elf,orc and dragonkin went to war against humans. My family was demolished, and I was put into a human orphanage....where I was whipped and beaten. A little dragonkin girl like that might even end up dead in this racist world....." He adds, turning around still in his enlarged state.
