Yeah, only 20% of all human life remains alive on Earth.

The world has changed. A few years ago, on a day forever known to survivors as "The Apostate", all but less than 20% of the human population of earth disappeared. No one quite knows why it happened, some think aliens, others think a mysterious disease, and others think of it as an act of god. In the years since human's mark on the world had fallen into disarray. Mother Nature claimed what was rightfully hers, cities became overgrown and the wildlife that once lived there reclaimed their spaces, humans were back in the food chain, falling prey to the predators that were once regarded as harmless. Looting still runs rampant in cities, becoming routine. Murder is just another way to survive. Many of those that still survive have gone insane and those that haven't don't know what to do otherwise. What happens to the survival of the species still remains to be seen.

This was an RP I ran in Free a few months ago that got really side-tracked and kind of died. Now I'm trying to start it up again on casual because I think it may have some more success. The RP starts in New York but it can go other places from there. I'm thinking of making it kind of realistic and dark so no like crazy supernatural stuff. If you're interested just post here, same if you have any questions.
Steven sat in the airport, waiting for the plane to board. He had on large monitor headphones which were plugged into the laptop sitting in front of him on his lap. He was thinking of going in a new direction for his new album, he was listening to a lot of Xiu Xiu recently and the music that was pounding in his ears reflected that being much more experimental than some of his earlier stuff. He's so engrossed in what's happening on the screen that he almost misses his call to get on the plane. He slips the laptop into the sleeve and makes his way onto the plane with it safely resting under his arm.

In the plane Steven absentmindedly listens to the safety instructions, wondering how exactly a seatbelt would help save someone tumbling from 30 000 feet in a tin can that's probably been reduced to flaming wreckage. He pushes those thoughts out of his head as new ones take their place, ones about his upcoming meeting with his producer, this would be his first new single in 7 years. He remembers vividly when Pitchfork wrote an article about him, hailing him as the next big thing. The interviews, the shows, everything. Having recently toured he's been realizing his fanbase had declined in the years of silence. However as he turned to look at the rest of the plane around him, he saw a man near the back of first class staring at him. It was then when it flooded back why he hated fame, and how he just wanted people to leave him alone. He sighed and put headphones back on, listening to the single that got him on this flight in the first place.

It was only a few minutes later when Steven realized this wouldn't be any normal flight he's had before. He heard screams and maybe even an explosion though he couldn't be quite sure. The pilots were telling everyone to remain calm even though they were obviously panicking themselves. Steven found himself unable to make any sounds, as much as he felt he should scream or curse or do anything that could make himself be heard in any sort of capacity nothing would happen.

The plane hit the ground.

Steven blacked out.
Steven came to later, but he didn't know how much later. It could have been minutes, or hours, or days, but he didn't know. People were still screaming, but it seemed to be much less than before. Steven saw what used to be a window now seemed much bigger than before, though his eyes still weren't adjusted. He undid the seatbelt and slowly stood up. He attempted to step out of the plane only to fall onto all fours. His hands dug into the sand and he vomited onto the ground. He pulled himself up and blinked a few times to try to see what was around him. Blood dripped off his finger tips, he wasn't sure whether it was his or not. He looked around to see this unfamiliar tropical climate, not knowing where he was or what to do in this place.

James Blake is fantastic, he's got a beautiful voice and god damn those minimalist electronic compositions feel so cold and yet so breathtaking.

Name: Steven Connolly
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Personality: Serious and a bit neurotic. He tries to do well with others but isn't exactly one for being the fun-loving type and his music reflects that, being very sombre and minimalistic to give off chilling atmospheres.
History: Steven comes from a well off family in Ireland. From a young age he displayed a passion for singing and generally making music in and around the house. From there his career was born. At 16 he was already producing for some of the biggest names in the pop and hip-hop business. At 18 he released his first solo effort and debuted at number 1 on the album charts as well as a number one hit single. His name was in lights and he'd finally made it.

It was now 7 years later and he still hasn't released a follow-up. He's been producing a bit for others but his own anxieties have prevented him from releasing a sequel to his original album. However, recently he's been coming up with some demos he's been really liking recently. He thinks finally he might be able to release something that can contend to his original work. Having just come back to Ireland from a tour where he was debuting some of his new stuff, he got a call from his producer to speak about releasing an advanced single. This is the reason he's decided to take this fateful journey.

I'm hoping that this isn't too late for me to submit the application, I've been caught up with getting a new job in the past few days.
I'll post my CS later tonight
I'm interested in this one, could get me a bit out of my comfort zone with character creation.
Colour me interested in this one.

Rich followed P-J down the stairs, he as well could smell the aroma of pizza. It was now he realized how hungry he really was, yes he had eaten a few candy bars in the car on the way up to the cabin, but that is in no way sustenance for a man like himself, a man needs real food in order to remain fit and grow strong, or so his grandmother told him. Rich walked into the kitchen where everyone seemed to be gathering. When he entered he did a little wave to no one in particular and went over to where Rayne was sitting. "Hey" Rich said as he leaned against the counter, again mostly just to clear the air around him. He was a little disappointed to not see any form of meat on the pizzas, however it was still pizza so he didn't think it would be bad in any way, unless there was pineapple on it. He picked up a slice of vegetable, deciding it would be the less bland of the two and he started to eat. He let out a lengthy and content "Mmm" noise as if to signify both that he enjoyed the food, and to let everyone know that he hadn't eaten any real food all day.
