Haha, oops, sorry |D

Well, I don't really have anything to write for Selan right now (plan didn't quite work out the way I thought it would) but I got something up for Lisette and Kapi. Might edit it later, I dunno.

And now I have to do a bunch of homework for my online class since it's due in about 9 hours >.< I was really hoping my textbooks would get here today, I really didn't want to have to scroll through like 50 PDF pages.

Thaum Square?

Lisette managed to walk backwards quickly enough avoid tripping on the treadmill beneath them, and she looked incredibly unwell as she gazed upon all of the panicking food, some injured and some not. Being a vegetarian to avoid animal cruelty, it wasn't a pleasant sight at all to see produce screaming about not wanting to die, and she might remember the way the cookie crumbled for the rest of her life. Or at least until she felt like eating cookies again.

Aria had to come and pull her along in order to literally pull her out of her daze, and the group was able to get past the treadmill. A giant baby dressed in a diaper and a police hat shone the flashlight right into their eyes, and with a surprisingly deep voice for a baby, told them to honor the curfew and run along.

A few minutes later and they were now alone in the street. By then, Lisette had finally realized that Kapi was not with her, which explained why she bolted up from the bench and ran a few feet away towards a moving lump on the ground.

"Kapi!!" she yelled, bending down to pick up the lump.

The lump looked at her, seemingly offended to be harassed by a complete stranger. "Put me down this instant!" it said in a female voice. "I just want to walk home in piece!"

"Oh, um... Sorry..." Lisette said, plopping the bread loaf back on the ground. The loaf trotted down the sidewalk at a quicker pace than before.

She walked back to the others, pulling on her pigtail awkwardly. "Now what should we do?" she asked.

Bugtanical Gardens?

The situation was scary, but Kapi knew the giant lady would come through for them, and they also had the tall man that smelled like smoke too. They were just bugs, after all, and he spent an entire afternoon watching his friends beat them up. These ones would fall to the might of the Pride for sure! Although unfortunately, Kapi's hidden fire magic wasn't coming out no matter how hard the capybara concentrated.

Kapi felt small hands wrap around his body and pluck him from where he had been sitting. The small hands were connected to similarly small arms that wrapped around him tightly, the same way Lisette would whenever she was upset. He couldn't see behind him, but he knew from the girl's socks that it was Trixie, who rarely even looked at him, much less hugged him.

He did his best to comfort the girl by sniffing at her trembling hands, and even tried to speak a few wise words (which came out as squeaks, but they were very insightful squeaks).
Aww, I hope you feel better soon Pach! :c

...

Good morning guys! I have to have a probably uncomfortable phone call with my grandma really quick (to make me feel bad about something my mom started) and then I can post.
Ah, I sort of passed out for about 5 hours, I'm taking some melatonin and going back to bed so I don't screw up my sleeping patterns. I'm setting an alarm for 11 so I can post then, I'll cover both yesterday and today's stuffs if Pach does the moving-on post before I get up. Good night guys!
Okay, Neil the Cat is being a butthead. I'm sitting in my room, right? And I hear a loud "meoooooow, meooooooooow" and I think Neil's in trouble or something so I run to the back door to see why he's making so much noise...

He's just sitting in front of the door.

I thought he was hungry so I gave him some food, which he didn't even look at. And you know what he does next? He just looks at me, and goes to his napping spot! I think he called me over for no reason...

(I actually think it's very cute, he doesn't always indicate that he actually likes us. Sometimes he rubs his face on my hand though c: )
Thank you for your empathy, guys! ;A; Yeah, like Pach said, it's not like anyone specifically teaches you how to do this stuff, so it's frustrating. That lady on the phone was pretty rude, though. I get that being a receptionist can be frustrating (I was one for a couple months) but you're supposed to help people... And I sound like a kid still so she really could have been a lot more understanding =_=

And thanks a lot Pach! I still remember that overall scene pretty well, so I'm glad you remember too, and fondly at that. c:

Like Danni said, I think I've stated multiple times that yeah, the amount of characters we have is overwhelming for me personally and I totally understand that you can't realistically get to everyone in a short amount of time. But I think it's doable to an extent, especially after the amount of weeks that have passed since the new characters were introduced (not counting Lute, obviously). Dead horse, etc. etc. etc.

But I totally get what Danni's saying about making the characters care more (maybe we're on the same wavelength from medicine/sleep deprivation lolol). I think maybe for the next quiet moment we have in the IC (and for any future character introductions, like Danni's) we should take a little more time to slowly introduce the new character to the others, and vice versa. That might help a bit. When I look back on the lunch scene with Lute, it feels like it was kind of rushed. And the same sorta goes for Aria and Xan's intros, that scene was more like exposition for the mission rather than introducing two new main characters to the cast.

Edit: Oh wow, the OOC's moving fast now!
  • Good luck finding a house Buns! I know the feeling, we had that issue a lot when we were looking for apartments. I'm really glad we went with the apartment I'm living in now, our other choice was in a really shady part of town. :x

  • That Infected Mushroom song <3
  • I'm having a pretty bad day and I might be slightly loopy from lack of sleep so my [exaggerated] memory of Selan really making the rounds around the train like she was greeting guests at a party is seriously making me laugh.. ^^;

Quick explanation, just a combination of PMSing and lack of sleep did not help my embarrassing attempt at scheduling a doctor's appointment over the phone. I couldn't answer the lady's question about my health insurance because I just don't know anything that isn't on the little card I have, so she more or less hung up on me and I feel like an idiot and a failure of an adult??

Anyway, just thought I'd chime in and say that I'm glad Pach brought it up, I really would love to see the aforementioned characters interacting with more of the cast. I've discussed it with Pach before, and we agreed that some characters just naturally gravitate towards each other and everyone doesn't have to be best friends with everyone, but I think all of the main characters should have a really basic opinion on each of the others, maybe something that can be boiled down to a sentence or two (see the Relationships sections on the Wiki). I feel like I'm visualizing blanks for Aria, Xan, and Lute for at least half of the cast.

I'm not sure how to feel about the plan for the next five days (just because I'm curious about the set-up for that), but I think it should be fun, and I would love to see what everyone else writes for those scenes.

Edit: eeeeeee Rex your Trixie post :D Thanks for giving me something good for my Kapi post later tonight!

    Thaum? - Coliseum

Things were going well, it seemed. Although there was something much more disturbing now that their animal opponents had taken on a more 'human' feel. It was probably a similar discomfort to what Lisette felt when having to face hostile animals.

Selan knew there was something wrong, but... If there were people like Nikkolaira in their world, this couldn't be too far off, could it?

Dylan's bolt struck the bear right above its kneecap, and the bear staggered forward, snarling furiously. "Lucky shot, you little wimp!" he roared, powering through the pain and continuing forward despite blood seeping down his leg brace.

Selan relaxed, leaning against the back of the cage. She nearly jumped when she felt something lightly hit the steel behind her -- someone had thrown a full bag of popcorn at her back. "Do! Some! Thing! Do! Some! Thing!" the audience began to chant in unison, and Selan knew it was directed towards her.

If they wanted a show, they could give them one. "Lute! Once more?" she called to the white-haired man, referring to the curious ability he used before to amplify her voice.

    Thaum Square?

"Humans are yummy and healthy and good!" the various foods around them began chanting, inching closer and closer with their teeth bared.

The tomato stand behind Lisette shook as the tomatoes sprouted legs and hopped onto the ground in front of her. She scooted backwards, holding her hands up in a 'don't shoot' gesture. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in vegetarianism...?" Lisette stammered nervously.

The tomatoes paused to look at each other, then resumed their march along with the rest of the food. "Get her! The stupid ones are the tastiest!"

"Hey, I'm not stupid!" Lisette yelled angrily, getting to her feet and drawing her bow.

"Help, help!" Lucien yelled, prompting Lisette to turn around. He was being accosted by an angry-looking chocolate chip cookie.

"Duck!" Lisette quickly fired an arrow over the, uh, heads, of all of the foods on the ground, and it struck the cookie in its side. Crumbs sprayed and cracks burst from the arrow's point of entry, and the cookie collapsed to the ground.

The foods saw this and took this as a clear indication that this was war. The tomatoes clawed and bit at the hard leather of Lisette's boots, while a nearby zucchini drew one of those big plastic food picks shaped like a sword, except the edge glinted in the light, indicating that it was quite sharp compared to its realistic counterpart.

"Everyone, let's get out of here!" she called, looking around for the easiest path of escape. "Uh, um, the clock tower over there!" she pointed frantically.
    Thanks guys! c:

    Working on a post now~

Edit: Done! I couldn't think of much to do with Kapi right now so I skipped him, but pretty sure that's not a big deal, haha.
