It was a warm summer evening and sun was about to set behind the mountains. Shadows were growing longer rapidly as even the wind settled down to rest from it's labor. Everyone, with the exception of the village doctor and the Fair Maiden Inn personell, had concluded the work of the day.

There was a calm and light hearted buzz in the ground floor of the inn where the only pub of the village had it's home. Mainly the men of Avveel had gathered to relax from the hard work of the past week. The candles gave light to the big room casting dancing shadows everywhere and warming up the air. One called for food and another more ale, the mood was happy and everyone enjoyed their time.

Muorra had also come to relax to the pub. He was sitting by himself by the counter with a pint of fresh ale talking to the owner of the Inn. "Innkeeper," Muorra grunted over the desk trying to be discreet, "I know our kids are in love. Shouldn't we have them married already? They have been playing their game for two months already for Guardians sake!" He tried to keep his strong voice as low as possible.

"Ha! Eager you are, Muorra! Eager you are", the Innkeeper laughed at his suggestion. "The kids take their time and make that call when they are ready for it." Muorra waved at the Innkeeper's words and laughed then. He rose up with his pint, holding it by his chest. He was proud of his new white shirt. He turned to head to the nearby table where the shoemaker was telling a story.
Name: Muorra Veazir
Age: 42
Race: Human
Gender: Male

Profession: Carpenter

Appearance: Muorra is a massive man. Wide shoulders, taller than most men. He packs about 120 kg of muscular body mass into about 2 meters of height. Decades of carpentry, building and heavy woodwork have turned this man into a giant of a man.

Muorra's hair is blonde as wheat when it is ready for harvest and seems as thick as the spikes of a hedgehog. He keeps it short for the sake of convenience. It is easier to keep clean and stays out of the way when he works. His head is rather edgy, sharp and box shaped. His face is covered with a thick mustache, sideburns and sandpaper-like unshaved stubble around his muscular jaw. Between the bright green eyes, he has a big edgy nose.

The boulder of a head, is carried by a thick neck that has almost disappeared because of the shoulder muscles. Muorra finds it usually easier to enter houses a bit sideways because of the width of his shoulders. The arms that hang from the shoulders are thick, defined and years of carrying logs and boulders are clearly visible. Any woman would feel safe if Muorra were her husband. His hands are like shovels but seem accurate and agile, rough and scarred of bigger and smaller accidents with tools.

Muorra's torso is strong and athletic to say the least considering his remarkable size. The best part is that it is all natural muscle built with actual work that has a purpose. Every ounce has been worth a house, a hut, a fence, a roof, fire wood or a bridge - or something similar. Even with clothes on it is clear that fat per cent on Muorra's body is very low.

The legs carrying this massive man are like trees. The diameter of one his thighs is at least as much as the distance from a man's jaw tip to the back of his head. Many knights who have passed by have been jealous of his legs. The only down side is that great strength means slower speed. That is usually what makes the poor knights smile again and continue their journey with somewhat restored confidence.

Usually Muorra is wearing a natural color cotton shirt that has a bit deeper cut for head and neck which is closed with a loose lace. His wife makes him new ones every now and then but they look well used rather soon no matter how well she tries to wash them. The brown pants he uses are also of cotton but most of the time they are under protective "cowboy" pants and a leather apron.

Personality: Like his brother Ruovdi, Muorra is a happy, warm, and welcoming personality. He is loud and is not afraid to give you a nice manly slap between your shoulder blades when he thinks you said something ridiculously funny. While being one of the nicest men in Avveel, where he and his family live, he likes to spend an evening or two in a week at the local inn drinking with the other men in town. It doesn't happen often but when he gets drunk he is even happier but can snap very easily and start a fight. Usually with his brother, rarely if ever with someone else unless they attack him.

History: Muorra used to live in a small settlement half a day by wagon towards South-West from Giron. It was a settlement of three families and because of it's small size it was just called Halfaday. His parents got him, his older sister and younger brother rather late in age in regard to the culture of the times.

By the time Muorra was 17, he had been taugh in all of his carpenter-father's learning. He had worked hard in the forest that grew by the small settlement and had shown great skill as a carpenter. Regardless of the many attempts to make the small settlement grow in numbers no-one wanted to move to their little community. Everyone settled closer to Giron.

Muorra had knew Giron and was not fond of it's gritty atmosphere. He wanted to try his luck as a carpenter in Helsset and with his parent's blessing he left.

On the way he stayed a night at the inn in Avveel like all travellers do. There he met his wife to be, a young, slender, graceful waitress named ???. She was small by his side then and even smaller now but what she lacks in size she has in heart.

Muorra never made it to Helsset. The two fell in love, married and stayed in Avveel. Since then Muorra has lived in Avveel and been the most trusted carpenter in the village.

A Barfight

This is fight between normal people, by passers and travelers. You can use a previously made character or a create a new one if you like. Your reason to fight might be your or someone else's honor that has been questioned or you could be just collateral damage who didn't want to miss the fun. What ever the reason is, come join in some Friday night fun!

Post your character and I will add you to the turn list.

Rules of Engagement
  • Standard Guild rules, no god mod, no playing others' characters etc...
  • Weapons on location from the environment. Characters don't carry weapons when they enter the game.
  • Be mindful of characters' locations
  • Keep things light, this fight is not that serious
  • Turn length 2-3+ paragraphs where 1 paragraph is at least 3 phat sentences.
  • GM/Environment action is written gold.
  • Mark speech with a light color.

  • Game goes in rounds. I begin with a GM/Environment turn. Then I play a turn for my own character.
  • Game continues in turns in the order of entrance. REMEMBER to post your character to the characters section BEFORE posting IC!
  • GM/Environment turns are not counted into the regular turns. They happen as instants when needed and when they are appropriate.

Suggestion for turn structure, if you will: Start by reacting to what happens around you or to you in an appropriate manner (take damage, fall, drop, fly etc.). Then describe the ignition of one action elaborately (get up, throw a punch, grab etc.). Around these bones you can add the flesh of emotion, senses and feeling.

MOST IMPORTANTLY remember! A) You are drunk or B) You are a normal person who is not drunk or C) You don't want to miss a good fight.

Turn Rotation

@taistelusopuli Muorra GM
@Doc Doctor Zande Khandi
@Lord Santa It will work fine going in rounds. Consider a turn as an instance of time. Things happen a bit slower but everyone stays in time, in same instance a bit better.

@Baklava Like @BytheSpleen said it directs attention. Later in the game depending how you all play, there might come cases when you are not in the same place. Then tagging will direct attention to the posts that are relevant for playing the character. If you don't like doing it, you don't have to :) And I can do it like BytheSpleen and tag in the beginning or in the end instead of when a character is mentioned the first time in the post.

sure! I'd be in.
@Lord Santa@nrtashi@BytheSpleen@Baklava

There we go! Next round ;) The others return if they appear here again.
The human boy stopped his search for a moment and looked towards the strangers @BytheSpleen@Baklava with his curious brown amber decorated eyes. He rose up from his knees and stood up behind a rock. His body seemed childishly skinny but he looked healthy. He had short, somewhat messy reddish brown hair and wore simple, loose clothes. His cotton pants were tied around his waist with a cord and the slightly big shirt was open to his chest.

Timid, he looked around to see if there was anyone else besides the who had spoken. When he saw a third person @nrtashi approaching he took a step behind the rock for safety. He fastened his eyes on Steven @Lord Santa and stopped moving. After a moment of being still and silent, barely audible to Lyra she being closest to him, he said: "I am looking for a flower to Mommy. She needs one."

After a moment of continued staring at Steven he slowly began to look the ground around the rocks and boulders again. Then he seemed to relax and forget about the strangers that had just arrived and taken him from his important search.
@Lord SantaYah, sounds good. Let's roll with that I will post later today.

If someone feels like setting up a new game, I'm in :)
