Danilo listened, absorbing each word and motion of his soulmate. His own fingers went to caress the name on his wrist. He wondered what was on Adams mind when he fall silent and looked out. Was that a sensitive topic? He looked out the window as well, not enjoying the sight of rain falling like a veil over the passing cars, the few people out hurrying their way. It was just a few heart beats, or million of a racing heart, before Adam spoke once more.
"Unless you're ready for me to be open to you already, and you're ready for a long story, I'll just say that I'm not exactly human. And I've seen a lot of things, and lived a long time. Although...it is true then? You really are a dragon?"
Was he ready? How silly that sounded to him. He dropped that for the brief moment when he heard the second part.
'' As true as fire is warm. '' To accent his own words he took a small breath in and gently blow a small flame from his lips into the air. He was careful not to set anything on fire. A few people looked over to him the younger one looked amazed while a few looked more than worried. It wasnt everyday one sees fire breathing inside a cafe, regardless of the magical population of the city.
''Let me tell you, you got quite lucky being soulmate with me, from all my siblings I am the nicest one. They will probably want to meet you....''
Delilah the waitress of the cafe loudly ahem-ed, stopping Dan in mid sentences. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she glared at him.
'' Hello Delilah~'' Dan hummed completely unaffected by the waitress pouting and hard glaring eyes.
''Hello Dan, three things. '' Her eyes moved to Adam checking him out as she continued speaking. ''First why are you being a fire hazard? Second, what would you like to order? And last who is that good looking gentlemen with you?''
Dan looked at Adam, he couldnt help than notice how Adam looked in the orange red light of his own flame. It was most beautiful as simple as that, he promised to himself to get Adam to a candle dinner. Leaning against his chair, he didnt move his eyes away from Adam anymore. '' A sundae, and a cup of hot chocolate, for me, and what would you like my soulmate?''
It was only a portion of a second for Delilah to react, knowing Danilo as her regular customer, you couldnt have missed when his date came. He danced with her out the blue sky and gave her a way too big of a tip. She clasped her hands together. ''You are Dans soulmate?! Great meeting you!'' She placed a hand on Adams shoulder. '' You have your work cut out for you. What ever you order it goes on the house, today. ''

Dan accepted his hat, and looked at the were once more. He saw the other awaiting the worst or along the lines. He knew those eyes and even the slightly body posture spoke volumes about it all. It took to get to know him before he saw the relaxing about his dragon self. Pouting as he placed the hat under his arm, he answered calmly. ''No worries I will not bite off your head.'' He would have smiled, making it more of a joke, but...the rain was getting his hair wet more than he liked, and his jacket started to feel heavy from the wetness especially his shoulders. A wet fire dragon is not a happy dragon.
Dan placed a hand on the were shoulder. '' If you ever in need for a date place, go to the luxury hotel ''Four seasons'', and say Danilo send you. You are getting the best table. Thats my apology and now I want to get dry, excuse me. Come Adam.'' Danilo called to his lov-..wait soulmate, they didnt even kiss yet. He was jumping the gun again. Danilo pushed by the were and entered the cafe a lot more pleased feeling the hot air filled with sugar and coffee. Pulling off his slightly wet jacket off he slipped into a boot by the window. With a smile offering Adam to sit down as well.
''So Adam, I am curious do you have a last name? Or tell me what kind of magical being are you? You are one, arent you? I saw your reaction on my red scales.'' Dan started light heatedly, awaiting for someone to come and take their order. He hoped Mia worked, so he could show off his soulmate to her and her friend. That would be nice.

I posted, taking Adam to the cafe where all the interesting stuff happened in the past days. And of course a dragon having eyes only for his soulmate is for sure to bump into a angry wet adorbs were kitten.

Yes he was on cloud nine when he took Adam under the hand and started leading them to the cafe with the best sundaes around. He walked in happy comfortable silence holding back from skipping around. Instead the happy dragon was focusing his mind on how the two looked walking together under a umbrella. They must have giving out the vibe of a couple. His grin spread even more. The place wasnt as busy as the last days, maybe because of the rain? He didnt mind, he spin around to make a bow and declare ''Behold my Adam.'' he tipped his hat as if he was on the stage.
''This cafe is known for its sweets.'' He stood upright allowing the rain to fall on him as he left the umbrella in Adams hands.
''This was as well the first place I work in once I moved to this city, it was...'' He stepped backwards, his whole attention on Adam so it wasnt much of a surprise that he bumped into a man. His hat fall of his head and landing in a small pooudle.
''Ah forgive me, sir.'' He said to the angry looking man, the dragons nose picked that the man was a were something, but he wasnt too sure what...and he much more cared about his wet hat on the street.
