Phoenix Tail Feather, Dragon Heartstring and Unicorn Tail Hair are the three main wand cores used in Britain. They're magical materials that are stable and effective, which is why they're so popular with the most famous wandmaker in the region, Ollivander.

I was asked to post it in the thread. I'm not "nit picking", I'm reviewing characters, it's something that happens in roleplays. It just happens that Soren's character needs more work than others, and I'm perfectly willing to help him if he wants, or discuss his character's flaws and work out potential changes if he'd like.

I really didn't want to put the GM on the spot, but they sorta asked me to look over his CS and post my opinions. I apologize if the GM didn't want this known, but I don't appreciate being attacked for helping out.

EDIT: I like the character, Verifyin, although I'm not familiar with the qualities of Behemoth horn gratings. Reminds me a little of Harry Potter at first, but not after reading his history~!

Again, it feels like he's just trying to make a Mary Sue. The wand makes more sense now, but Eucalyptus wood is still super rare, as are his talents as an Animagus AND his talents as a Metamorphmagus.

Basically, he has a silly amount of rare, powerful skills that make his character abnormally special. That just isn't cool.

Oh, may we post IC now? All the characters seem to be around, and the GM Characters have arrived, so it seems everything is in position.

Their appearances aren't so far off that it's not unbelievable.

Yes, their appearances are totally far off. Unless Tyren was blessed with an abnormally large and strong body, that is. And unless Kei had the body of a fully grown woman at 15 (which is admittedly more likely.)

Yes, but their bodies aren't physically mature (and neither are their brains.) That means that, even if they trained their bodies or grew mentally, there's only so far they could go. The different would be noticeable, but not significant. To begin with, their physical bodies probably wouldn't be trained, since it's magical power that matters most, not strength.

Now we get a bit of a problem where Middle School girls are unlikely to be comfortable hanging out with older kids, especially two that are so obviously scary to approach.

When you make the contract you stop aging, though, so you should probably change your character's ages and appearances to match their actual age.
