The way I see it, they were probably approached by SEED operatives and brought to Tokyo, or they were part of some training/recruitment program that meant they had to transfer to SEED's HQ in Tokyo. Depends on how this actually works.

Wow, the plot of this reminds me heavily of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Quick questions,
1: Is the "potential" of Magitech Girls something innate, or is it based entirely on the quality of their equipment/training?
2: Assuming things work the way I'm assuming, do things such as Anti-magic fields/particles exist?
3: How strong are we, relative to other Magical Girl series?
4: What is the power scaling of Magitech Girls vs Nephilim? Is it assumed that a single MG can handle one on their own, or is it something that requires teamwork and cooperation?
5: How effective are conventional weapons against Nephilim? Since there seems to be quite a technology-centric theme here, are we going to be seeing nuclear weapons or their like?
