Name: Iris Grace (Sometimes just called Grace)
Age: 14
Personality: Iris is a friendly, quiet girl who spends a great deal of her free time watching others, reading books and playing sports. Because her brain is partially assisted by AI, she is able to think calm and rationally even under tense situations. However, she takes a bit of a hit to her empathy, occasionally causing tensions between her and others. She's uneasy about the idea of there being a "robot in her brain", but there's nothing she can do about it despite her existential crisis.

Battle-Style: Grace is a Sniper by calling, she favours long-ranged engagements and often provides crucial reconnaissance during missions. Because of her role overlooking the battlefield from afar, she works together with orbital and other long-ranged support in order to coordinate attacks.

Hospitalized Special One: Her father, who could often be found at her side tinkering with her cybernetics. Lost his arm during an enemy raid, and had to go back to earth in order to receive the proper surgery to replace it.

Background: Iris Grace is the daughter of a famed cyberneticist, who worked closely with the military to help provide highly effective cybernetic implants and prosthetics to military personnel. His wife passed away a few years after his daughter's birth, leaving him to take care of her on his own. He was a bit awkward, but got along well with his young daughter, and the two of them had a happy, healthy father-daughter relationship.

When he heard his daughter had been mixed up in a terrible drone accident, he was beside himself with grief. His daughter had received severe brain trauma, and it seemed there would be little they could do to help her. But then, her father remembered his research, and in a series of acts that would get him imprisoned if human rights activists ever heard about it: He fixed his daughter.

Replacing her damaged organs was the easiest part, and the critically wounded arm was hardly any more difficult. The problem was the brain. Up until this point, the success in this field was limited at best, and if he did it wrong he risked killing or further damaging his daughter's fragile mind. He pulled through, though, and his daughter was cured. She doesn't remember that time very well, but ever since then she has been subtly different from how she was before. And not just in the sense that she has a robot arm, either.

Other things: Iris is a cyborg, with several cybernetic implants across her body and a robotic arm. Most importantly, parts of her brain have been replaced, and an AI of sorts inhabits those parts to assist her organic brain in information processing and memory maintenance. This means her memory and other mind-skills are a little better than most, as she has the help of a computer.

Sniper-spec Framework

Framework Name: Artemis

Primary Weapon: Predator-class Heavy Railgun: A beast of a weapon that is as unwieldy as it is deadly, requiring precise aiming and significant preparation time in order to line up and land each shot. What it lacks in accessibility, however, it makes up for in sheer, accurate power. Able to tear through conventional armour at extraordinary ranges and pass through several layers of material before reaching its target, this weapon makes for an ideal sniper's tool, able to ensure a clean kill whenever its trigger is pulled.

So long as targets remain in one's sight-line, it is possible to chain together several shots in quick succession, if the wielder has the accuracy to accomplish it. Additionally, because of the projectile's high speed, this weapon is even able to strike and take down aircraft when necessary, providing valuable long-ranged support to any engagement.

Secondary Weapon: Assault Hound: A modular battle drone able to run at high speeds, jump or climb over obstacles and provide various kinds of information to its masters. At about the size of a large dog, this robotic companion may not seem nearly as threatening as the Artemis itself, but is able to provide offensive support using the laser rifle on its back.

Can also savage exposed infantry with its metallic claws and teeth, making it a deadly anti-personnel weapon in close-quarters. Usually used to support the Artemis in its field duties, but can also provide support to the squad when necessary.

Side-socket 1: Recon Drones: A handful of small, remotely controllable drones able to crawl quickly across all sorts of surfaces and transmit various kinds of information back to the Artemis. These drone are lightly equipped, with their primary locomotion method being their four spindly legs. Most commonly, they are attached to simplistic flying devices which drop them off close to its destination or fly them over high-priority targets.
Side-socket 2: Laser Pistol: A mech-scale directed energy weapon, intended for use as a sidearm for close-mid ranged self-defence on the field. Because the Artemis lacks a weapon suited for such ranges, equipping a sidearm is almost a necessity for any sort of combat mission, even though Grace should be far enough from the action that it's not needed. Better safe than sorry, they always say.

Special Ability:
Hyper-Penetrative Vision
Enhanced perceptive ability able to see through nearly any substance and pinpoint weaknesses in enemy armour at long ranges. While not powerful on its own, this ability pairs well with Artemis's primary weapon of choice and its role in providing Sniper support.

Class Skills:
Transformation - An ability similar to Shapeshifting, which allows the Beast to transition between their True Form and their Human Form. The qualities of one's True Form varies between Beasts, as do the strength of the boosts received upon transforming fully.

• EX - While partial transformation is possible at any time, this skill has a special effect during the depth of the night, which powers it up to near-Noble Phantasm levels. Beast's True Form affects the very world around it, transforming Night into Nightmare and granting capabilities in a completely different league from its base form.

Monstrous Strength - An ability possessed by monsters and beasts, temporary boost of the Strength parameter by one rank for a time limit determined by the ranking of this skill.

Personal Skills:
Presence Concealment - The capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant.

• A+ - It is possible to disappear completely and become almost impossible to be detected. However, efficiency will decrease once preparations to attack are taken.

Familiar (Shadows) - Allows the use of living shadows as familiars.

• A - Long-distance control through thoughts alone is possible, and the utilities common among familiars are all present. Familiars may return to the user at any time, even when deep in enemy territory, making them suitable for reconnaissance. Their forms vary, although this makes no difference to their abilities.

Fear - The ability to instill fear in others with the owner's mere presence.

• A+ - Those without resistance to fear will have all of their parameters reduced by half a rank with Beast's mere presence. Effect is doubled in Beast's True Form and when applied to non-Servants.

Protection of Shadows - Typical of monsters that lurk in the dark, this skill provides certain defensive bonuses so long as the owner is not subjected to direct light.

• B - When shrouded in darkness, attacks against Beast have their offensive power reduced by half, making up for its poor physical durability. In Beast's True Form, this also provides an increase in attack power equal to the defensive bonus.

Personality: If anything can be known of Elena's personality and motives, it's that she cares little for what others expect of her. She will always do things her own way, and seeks her own path through life regardless of what hardships she must face along the way. Elena is participating in the Holy Grail War in order to prove herself to her father, and also in order to achieve her childish wish.

Biography & Family History: When Elena was born, everybody around her rejoiced at what she would become. Her father, who was late in his years, was relieved when his young wife delivered him the perfect child, one who could inherit everything he had worked to preserve and perfect in his lifetime. He passed on his Magic Crest, and began teaching his daughter the ways of the Magus from a very young age. Soon enough, she was truly geared to be the Lupei family's successor.

Elena took great enjoyment from her early childhood, whether she was sitting on her grandfather's lap, or staying up late to read from her father's books. Just following the passing of her grandfather, her father began to take even more interest in his daughter's life, meaning that she was rarely allowed even a moment outside of her father's view. He loved her dearly, that was sure, but he also envied her for being born with more talent than him. Because of this, he was often harsh with her when she slacked on her studies, and couldn't abide by her doing anything he thought was outside of her duties.

Soon enough, however, she began to develop somewhat of a rebellious streak, spurred on by her secretly budding friendship with one of the family maids. When her father found out about this relationship, Elena snapped and they got into their first ever argument. In the aftermath of this argument, Elena essentially kicked her father out of the house, leaving her to study magecraft on her own from then on.

Lupei Family

The Lupei Family is not the most ancient of Magus Families, its members have generally not cared much for politics and when it comes to secret arts, theirs is hardly awe-inspiring. However, there is a bit of reputation surrounding their family, relating to the favoured occupation of its members. Since its founding, Magi of the Lupei Family have devoted their lives to two causes. The development and protection of the family's secret arts, and the hunting of vampires. For this purpose, each successor to the Family's will has become an Enforcer except for one, Elena's grandfather. The family's history goes back six generations.

Resistance: Elena is in possession of an abnormally high resistance to "status conditions", which is often jokingly attributed to her stubborn nature. Rather than a skill, this is a natural ability of hers that resists influence from external forces. Possibly related to her similar resistance to natural mental interference, such as fear, confusion or pressure.

General Magecraft: If you don't know what this is, you should probably go back and read the opening post.

Presence Concealment: Allows for hiding one's presence from others, including the application of illusions and other trickery to prevent discovery through the use of the conventional five senses. Most of Elena's predecessors have been proficient with this kind of magecraft, and its blueprint is the most complete of all the spells in her Crest.

Boundary Field Creation: The creation of higher level Boundary Fields, Such as: One that turns away non-magus individuals, one that prevents long-ranged communication, one that provides protection against attacks and one that blocks out all external light. Also represents the caster's ability to create Boundary Fields on a higher level than others, including making their Boundaries very difficult to detect.

Reinforcement: Basic strengthening of objects, not quite on the level of reinforcing living things or one's own body. Still, Elena's natural talent allows her to use this magic consistently, even if it isn't to the highest level of mastery.

Wind Magecraft: Elena most commonly employs the Wind Element to enhance her movement and give herself an edge over less mobile opponents, allowing her to effectively make use of her Mystic Code to achieve victory. She possesses a rapid-movement technique which provides her or an object with linear acceleration, allowing them to make incredible jumps or boost away from dangerous attacks. This can be used to cancel out falls and land safely, although this requires quick thinking to be applied effectively. She can use both a radar-like technique that seeks out and identifies targets, and a technique to temporarily jam enemy's senses using a whirlwind of air and magical "noise". Contained in her family's crest are a handful of other Wind spells that could be situationally useful, such as one that fires a controllable arrow of wind, one that uses a swathe of air that slows movement and one that affects noise (either blocking it out or transmitting it in a different manner.)

Nostalgic Air: A little something of Elena's Grandfather's creation, which programs general purpose "Air" familiars able to complete complicated series of actions based on the user's instructions. The familiar itself is barely physical, able to move as if it were a gust of wind and infiltrate places that ordinary familiars would never be able to. This was formed from the basics of Seeking Air, one of their family's specialties, and is an exceptionally powerful magecraft on its own. By directly supplementing the familiar's body with additional magecraft, the caster can allow it to lift and manipulate objects, provide information on its surroundings despite not having eyes or ears, and even transmit the caster's voice, appearance or touch across long distances.

However, because the familiar lacks much in the way of a physical body, its activities are easily disrupted by direct physical or magical attacks, causing it to disperse and become disabled. On the plus side, even when disrupted the familiar is still "alive", and can reform at the caster's command to resume duties when the danger has left. Magecraft can "kill" this familiar, but only those meant to harm it.

The Five Demon Hunting Stakes: Part of a set of seven stakes, designed for hunting and eliminating vampires. While Elena does not possess the entire set, and there are unlikely to be any vampires involved with the Holy Grail war, they still serve as effective weapons and their conceptual effect could possibly come in handy against strange abilities or opponents. Each of the Seven Stakes are Conceptual Weapons (or more accurately, the entire set of seven is a single weapon split into seven pieces), and the first five belonging to Elena all serve the same purpose.

The Five that Elena possesses have the ability to apply the affect of "Grounding", which anchors a fragment of the enemy to the stake when it is activated. This anchored fragment remains grounded to the physical plane for as long as the stake is "active", which is until the stake is called back to the user or until there is no longer a fragment to be grounded. When grounded in this manner, abnormal escape techniques become impossible, and the stake itself becomes impossible to remove using conventional means. Because the stake shares a connection with the wielder and cannot be removed, the owner is always able to sense the stake's location as long as it is within a certain range, which is enough that Elena could sense it anywhere within the proximity of Fuyuki City, no matter where she was within or nearby.

While this effect isn't exceptionally useful against ordinary individuals, the stakes can still be used as ordinary weapons in a pinch, and still prove extremely effective. Because they are weapons meant to strike superhuman vampires, they are quite difficult to avoid when used in conjunction with Elena's magecraft. Fuelled by her prana, they are able to move linearly at extreme speeds and change directions in an instant to strike opponents unexpectedly. They cannot, however, seek out opponents on their own, and require very precise manipulation in order to strike accurately. As fast as they are, they can be quite predictable in certain scenarios, and can only move in a limited number of bursts before they must return to her or sink into an opponent.

-Lupei's Silver Knife: A knife that serves as a simple amplifier for the user's power, and can also cut a bitch when necessary.
-Grandfather's Watch: A simple charm in the form of a watch, containing a spell that reacts to a very specific kind of presence. Seemingly broken, but starts to tick when somebody of an Evil alignment is within 20 meters, with the speed of the ticking indicating proximity.

Non-Magecraft Related Skills:
-Skilled Cooking & Cleaning: Skills learned from a friend of Elena's, who was a maid. The friend thought that learning these skills were above her, but Elena insisted.
-Marksman: Although she can't use a gun or bow, Elena is quite accurate with thrown projectiles, and is able to usually guide her targets to their mark without much difficulty.
