Yaozu raised an eyebrow, idly filing through the packet with his slender fingers, but his focus was to the front of the class. He gave a small whistle as he witnessed the beautiful glow of celestial light flooding the Headmaster as he called for his energy into a manifested form. So this is the aura of the path of light - compared to Yaozu's, it was quite beautiful and serene. The soft-blue glow was so elegant, yet held an edge of dignified power. The young martial artist gave an enthusiastic as the demonstration ended, dropping the packet to his desk and immediately standing upright. As the class shuffled about to their instructor's orders, he himself strode to the wall with eagerness, wanting to be the one of the firsts to partake in this interesting test.

Unfortunately, he came in second as there was already a girl who began the assessment by pushing her energy outward, showing the class and the Headmaster the extent of her control over her it. Yaozu grinned, leaning in with anticipation. He was excited to see what sort of strength his classmates held. But as he continued to watch, his mouth twitched into a disappointed frown. Just as stoic as she was, nothing really happened with her aura as she took her first steps on the wall. In fact, it was quite sloppy to watch and he ended up giving a small sigh when she fell.

Ah well. Everyone has their off days, he assumed. Yao gave a small shrug as his classmate hurriedly brushed herself off and made room for the others.

And so it was his turn. Standing by his sensei as instructed, Yaozu straightened his posture and relaxed the tension that gripped his hardened body with a long and slow exhale of a deep breath. As the stressful air left his body, his muscles unwinded naturally - his fist loosened, his shoulders slouched, his chin tilting slightly towards his chest in a very reposed manner. Even his sharp eyes paled considerably, the usual bright ice shading into a steely blue. And just as the last wisp of breath left his slightly-open mouth, his energy began to substantiate.

At first, it was just but a hazy warping of purple tendrils that rose from his body. But as Yaozu entered a deeper state of focus, the aura enhanced considerably and his energy roared as the tendrils flared up. Unlike the elegance of Hikari, Kurai burned raw. It wrapped around the young martial artist like licking flames, a passionate inferno of the boy's iron will. He made it burn as brightly and strongly as possible. Deep in his heart, he knew he may not be the strongest here. But even, he wanted everyone here to understand how serious he was in becoming number one. And so his aura glowed fiercely, snapping out with pride. When he was finally ready, Yao took his first steps towards the wall. Though confident as he was, he still hesitated as he approached the wall with a foot. But he steeled on, and with shaky first steps, he ascended towards the ceiling, gaining balance quickly with each step. When he was overhead, he walked around a few times, testing out his own capabilities and limitations. He even dared to make a jump, albeit tiny as it was, and was satisfied when his aura snapped him back to the ceiling as if he were making a normal jump on the ground.

When all was done, he began to internalize his energy. Yao's eyes lit up again to it's normal blue as he grinned at his sensei and classmate before dismounting from the ceiling and back onto the ground. He landed shakily, on one knee and a hand, but immediately stood up and laughed in amusement. "Well that was quite fun," he mused before stepping aside and letting another fellow classmate try.

ALSO, Yaozu is definitely not going to like Hikaru that much XD

Yeah?? What makes you say that ?

But yes, I agree with the majority concerning about posts. I myself will at least try to get something in every three or four posts. :)
Posted. Excited to see this how this RP goes! :)
Yaozu Au-Yeung yawned as he gave a satisfying, overhead stretch while walking down the meticulous path that snaked and spiraled around the temples's campus. There was a gentle breeze this morning that made the young martial artist's steps linger that much longer, as he wanted to enjoy the crispness of the air with his walk to his first day of class. Good thing he woke up earlier than usual, as he would have definitely sacrificed a few minutes of class just to bathe in the energizing kiss of the wind. Taking in a deep breathe, Yaozu closed his eyes and enjoyed the rest of the stroll.

Within tranquil minutes, he was in front of the classroom. Sharp eyebrows perked up as he casually peered inside, noticing THE Sin'chi Hajime hovering over the lecturer's desk. Though it didn't quite surprise him, Yao was still met with a flutter of excitement as he straightened his posture and stepped inside the homeroom. Being taught by the legendary martial artist of his time? The boy was glad he was admitted to this temple to hone his skills.

Upon entering, Yaozu noticed that some of his peers had already arrived. He eyed them all warily, icy blue eyes lighting up with intrigue. So these are the fighters that he got grouped up with. With one look, he could tell that these are natural martial artists who are striving for the same thing as he was ; to become one of the top. They all looked strong indeed. Good.

Satisfied with what he's seeing so far, Yaozu flashed his classmates a charming half-smile, before turning and bowing formerly to his instructor. "Yaozu Al-Yeung, student of Class #4. Nice to meet you, sir, and I'm honored that you'd have me as a pupil."
@LostSamuraiPerfect, thanks! I'll let you know when I manage to update his magic abilities and his path. :)

@OtomostheCrazy But yeah, I'm also on the same boat as you. Still deciding on which path, and will choose accordingly! Don't want there to be more on one side than the other!
Name: Yaozu Au-Yeung
Age: 18
Height: 5”6
Weight: 155 lbs
Path: Kurai

Weapon: N/A

Personality: An energetic individual with a wayward personality, Yaozu is the definition of a reckless youth. He's energetic, passionate, and hard-headed but do not underestimate his playful behavior and shorter stature. He has the will of a hundred men as his stubbornness can be a valuable weapon, and he's smarter than he may seem. Though he may be risk-taker, he's also logical in a way that he understands and accepts the consequences that may come with his decisions, and therefore, jumps into any situation fully prepared.

Biography: Yao's recklessness has always been prevalent even when he was younger, being born as an only child to an average family of lower-middle class. His parents were constantly working, and though they loved him very much, had always left him to tend himself as they both tried to make a living for their family. This had made him quite adaptive growing up, being able to take care of himself fairly well when he was a young child. He is of smaller stature than most boys his age, and therefor, often become a target of bullies. But being left alone had nurtured the impatient and intrepid spirit that he harbored, and as he grew up, became quite a boy with explosive energy. He had learned to street-fight at a young age to deter those that dare pick on him. In his small town, he was regarded as the source of all things mischievous, having led a small band of reckless youths much like himself. Even after founding his calling as a martial artist, and joining the famous Shaolin School to devote his endless energy in becoming a world-renown fighter, no one can extinguish his fearless flame.

Martial Art Style

1.) Chāquán - the style of Long Fists. Fluid and smooth, this martial arts focuses on the extension of the body into long movements. It includes a lot of aerial maneuver, making it a "long-range" combat form, as each powerful fist and kick can unexpectedly reach the opponent from a far distance.

2.) Chujiao - the style of Poking Foot. Indicated by it's name, this martial arts focuses on the explosive power of the legs, utilizing many dashes, jumps, and kicks in combination of rapid fist sequences in a forward flurry. It is often called the martial arts of "falling meteorites" because of it's unrelenting combos.

By studying and training under these two styles, Yaozu is able to overcome his 'physical limitation' and is able to match and sometimes exceed the speed and power of his taller and heavier opponents. The intense leg-strength and speed workout of Chujiao coupled with the flexibility and extension given to him by the Long Fist style allowed him to create a unique set of movements and combos that efficiently combines the two martial arts style into a powerful offense and iron-like defense.

Magic Style

1.) Shadow Cloak: Mystical shadow envelops Yaozu, giving him a boost to defense. Although the resistance is fairy weak compared to other magic-based armor, its true power lies in its ability to induce illusions thru afterimage to confuse his opponents, as the Cloak gives Yaozu and ethereal-like and hazy appearance.

2.) Black Flames: Yaozu can manifest flames of blackness to his hands and feet. This enhances his offensive power, as it gives him the ability to impact his hits with cauterizing force. It burns fiercely and brilliantly when activated.

3.) Shadow Breath: A powerful and primal technique that dispenses a lot of Yaozu's Kurai energy. Usually used as an ultimate move or sure-hit finisher. To prepare it, Yaozu must internalize a great amount of energy and condense it, which puts a lot of strain on his body. The longer he charges, the more devastating it is and the more it cripples his body.

The character's name is Dolce and he's the goddamn best character in the show.
I second this.
