"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Earth Sphere!" Chairman Azrael shouted, dressed in his finest suit before a podium facing a gathering of dignitaries he feared were slowly succumbing to madness. "We have just witnessed a terrible tragedy!" Behind him, a projection displayed images of the colony dropped, displaying the mercenaries fighting off the Variable fighters of the ELF, and Celestial Being arriving in order to blast those same variable fighters.

"From what our public investigation has revealed, it appears that the terrorists, for that is what they doubtlessly are, were attempting to drop the colony Junius Seven onto the ORB Alliance homeland, causing the death of millions." An image flashes behind him, showing Geist in his powersuit flanked by his recruited gang, effortlessly decimating the attacking forces and obliterating the fuck out of the colony with an anti-matter beam.

"But due to the timely intervention of a single man, the worst case scenario was avoided, and sadly only the residents of San Francisco were harmed. They will be remembered." The blond faggot wipes a tear from the corner of his eye. It almost looks real. "But the sacrifice of a 400 thousand lives, while tragic, is still a blessing compared to the alternative. And here today with us is the man single-handedly responsible for that miracle, and slaughtering the terrorists to the last man."

With this, Azrael steps back, making a sweeping gesture behind him to where another, hulking figure approaches him on the stage.

"MD-02, otherwise known as Geist!" Azrael produces a sealed letter with a flourish, handing it to the Most Dangerous Soldier, "In recognition of your achievements, and the fact that this tragedy has served as a stark wake up call." The Chairman of Blue Cosmos returns to the podium, raising his hands into the air as he begins to weep openly, "How many lives must be lost to these terrorists?! So long as Celestial Being and those like them are out there, we shall never be safe. Unfortunately, our current terms of engagement do not allow for the kind of rapid response necessary to combat this threat." He pointed towards the envelope in Geist's hands.

"Your standing orders, Geist, are as follows! Assemble a group of those who you consider to be the elite! Aces among aces! These shall be your hands and feet as you charge into battle, and eliminate your enemy! No!" Azrael grips his podium so hard his knuckles turn white, his gaze passionate as he stares at the audience and cameras in turn, "The enemies of humanity! M.D. Geist, you have your assignment, Colonel! Your initial deployment are in your orders! Godspeed!

"And good luck!"

He turns around, patting Geist on the shoulder as he walks by, "This should be enough, right?" The man whispers nearly inaudibly, so that only the super soldier hears. In the shadows, unseen by any but those two men, Flit Asuno nods almost imperceptibly in approval.

Elsewhere, Aaron Gentles quite randomly breaks into a cold sweat as he views the proceedings as the event is broadcast across known space.
Debris fell, like a shining metallic rain as the Most Dangerous Soldier's efforts proved fruitful. The remains of Junius Seven would not fall upon the island nation of the ORB Union, much to the annoyance of Chairman Azrael, who had skipped out on an irrelevant meeting between his inferiors within LOGOS and whatever shadowy crap equivalent those freaks in the PLANTs had.

In another place, Aaron Gentles looked on with disdain as his work over the past several weeks proved largely useless. His grand scheme had failed, the target had been missed by the utterly massive weapon wielded against it. Saved by the attack quite literally being swatted to the side.

Honestly, a colony drop. How were you supposed to counter something that damn huge? The failure of the attack simply boggled the mind. With that thought lingering in his mind, the hundreds of pieces of debris fell towards the planet below, igniting with the flames of reentry. Almost idly, the Guild Tech checked the instruments of his Astray for the projected impact site of the remaining...remains.

"San Francisco, huh..." He couldn't pretend to have any affection for the city, but that the projected casualties had gone from a cool several hundred million to a little over 400,000 struck Aaron as a profound waste of resources. Not that he wasn't getting paid anyway (unlike the mercenaries), but he had spent a lot of time setting up those GN Drives, dammit. And in the end, the only one of his fallback options that had been of any use had been that annoying child of theirs

An annoying child flying in his lone customized construction Astray with a Mirage Colloid spreader device equipped, already returning to the Nava-Hoe

Almost idly, Aaron stuck around to watch the fireworks, as the firey rain of death hurtled down upon an unsuspecting populace.

Without warning, the air above San Francisco was filled with the shrieks of metal tearing at terminal velocity.

The molten downpour fell into skyscraper and high rise alike, leveling them much like an anti-matter cannon's work in miniature. The droplets of steel and cement, built to withstand forces far greater than the earth's atmosphere, sizzled and broke apart, falling upon the city's hapless innocents like an ash of searing agony. Screams rose from the ground as one, a chorus of pain that did nothing in the face of the shrieks of death falling upon them from above.

Drawn down by Earth's gravity, the irony of Junius Seven's history took a final, bloody turn as the colony exacted a dark vengeance upon the world that had refused to allow it to take flight. A dark reflection of Icarus, the melted wings of mankind's folly fell upon young and old, man and woman alike, making the ends of those who suffered a direct impact a blessing in disguise compared to the utter agony of their neighbors who survived long enough to breath in the firey ash that fell upon them.

Hills were cleaved and bays were boiled, the magnificent Golden Gate, so long a symbol of hope with a dark side, would be forever painted by the dark brush of death of history. An errant strike rent the bridge in half, sending it's pieces tumbling into the depths, along with those unfortunates who had merely been passing through, but unable to move swiftly enough to escape.

Flame and despair descended upon San Francisco, none were safe. Without distinction. Without Mercy. Without Hope. All fell before the death falling from the heavens, a scene of massacre that could only be described in the vaguest terms, for no language could do the scene justice. Homes simply exploded, seemingly for no reason other than to kill those who had taken refuge from the death that lurked outside their simple four walls. Streets were littered with the dead and dying, their wails driving any with the presence of mind to hear to lose whatever sanity they had left.

Despair ran rampant through the streets, almost as surely as death followed in it's wake, paving the way on the countless bodies of the homeless. Those who had but hours ago known only innocence saw it robbed from them in their final moments, none of them comprehending the reasons for why such cruelty had to befall them. The sky turned red, and the storm of flame and steel continued unabated, raining death and destruction in a neat circle, falling entirely upon the City By the Bay. No longer a place of hope. No longer a bustling metropolis.

No longer even a shadow of it's former self.

Only a twisted monument to mankind's cruelty and thoughtlessness, it's consequences, and it's hopelessness.

"Meh." Aaron said, watching the proceedings through his monitors, "Better luck next time I guess."

Suddenly Blasts from an unseen far away unit began barraging the debris breaking it into even smaller piecesSeveral other new units all Red in color began to descend on ReGHOST and firedGeist took off after his shuttle"Kei did you see that? Those were the Gundam Misters!" Olson said"Well I bet they're glad they don't have to explain this mess to someone else" Kei said

Little did Kei understand the profound irony of that statement, as his and every other remaining Variable Fighter had had their recording equipment fried by the rampaging Mirage Colloid Virus long before the Meisters had arrived.

Meanwhile, the Throne Zwei and Gold Frame flew to face the newcomers, dodging the beam spam as they hailed them. Even as several larger chunks of the colony continued to fall, now entering the atmosphere with the Sim in tow. Aaron had hoped that the colony's onboard GN-drive controls had been able to adjust for impacting against ORB, but even he found that unlikely by this point.

"Yo! Thanks for the help, Celestial Whatever." Ali said, waving a greeting with his mobile suit. "Although..."

"It seems that we're going to have to take you in for questioning." Aaron finished on Open channels. "As you can see, the usage of those particles in the dropping of the Junius 7 colony naturally draws suspicion to you. We'll have you come with us." The ReGHOST hefted up it's axe threateningly.

Thinking Quickly Geist shoved his blade into the claws slicing them offGeist took off his cannon"Catch" he said as he threw the device at ReGHOST and fired setting off a gigantic blast that enveloped ReGHOST.However the explosion started a chain reaction began to expand Geist seeing where this was going sped off to back to the shuttleFreed from that other machines control a distance Kei saw a blast enveloping the battlefield "Hey Olson I think that guy in Black is doing our job for us, time to bail!""Aw hell! Hey new guys get out of here if you don't want a 6th degree burn!"The FSC fighters and the Gang members retreated from the battleThe Antimatter explosion began to envelop the debris

The ReGHOST flew towards Geist, ramming its axe through the arm that fired at the anti-matter gun before making a break for it.

Unfortunately, even as Kei and a few other members of the FSC managed to shake off the Virus influencing their variable fighters, the majority found themselves unable to do anything in an area completely saturated with Mirage Colloid Particles.

The Gang members continued to fire at the Variable Fighters that attempted to escape, while the unlucky FSC pilots were forced to either pursue Geist or perish uselessly in a futile attempt to stave off the anti-matter reaction by self-destructing against it. Meanwhile, both Junius 7 halves seemed to glow red and nearly triple in speed, escaping the explosion.

The Sim fires another particle blast grazing the Zwei's leg before losing interest in the rapidly retreating mech, veering offcourse and heading toward the colony ruins

The GN Tau particles continue circulating through the Sim, it's poisonous affects permeating it's biology completely, leaving it dead in space as it's functions cease.

Unfortunately the core itself remains unaffected, due to the placenta not being affected by poison. However, any and all new matter developed simply remains as useless as Cancer.

"Heh, dumbass."

Moving quickly, the Zwei grabs the Sim, and in a burst of creativity, flies beneath one half of Junius 7, whipping out some Toha Heavy Duct Tape that had been conveniently on hand, before using it to trap the biological Sim to the masses underside before flying away, cackling madly.

The Sim's free hand morphs into a pistol before firing a particle blast wiping out several fangs

The Throne Zwei switches tactics, doing everything it can to run towards cover while having it's Gn Fangs avoid being shot down, even while continuing to pepper the unit n an attempt to hold it back.

Each shot passes through the Sim as it quickly regenerates before unleashing a torrent of tentacles surrounding the zwei piercing it from all sides

With supernatural skill, the Zwei dodges, shoots, and parries his way out of the assault with only superficial damage.

"Tch, crazy bitch." Ali mutters himself, "FANGU!" From skirts held at the Zwei's hips, eight red lights fly out, surrounding and cutting the attacks to ribbons as Ali continues peppering it with his GN Tau-powered pistol.

The organic Sim suddenly shifted before drawing its 'sword' and repeating its assault increasing speed with each attempt as it encircled the Zwei

Recalling the stats on the Sim's "sword", the Zwei charges in repeatedly, clashing it's GN Buster Sword against it as Ali attempts to shoot the Sim with it's GN Pistol each time it passes it.

Ali remains able to keep up with the organic suits movements regardless of it's increases in speed.

Geist readied his Antimatter Cannon and clipped the engines of the ship along with obliterating the freshly deployed units. He observed another unit preparing to engage the FSC Not wanting his only link to the regular army to be cut and seeing a possible challenge Geist pursued Throne Zwei.Geist fired one Anti-matter shot at the colony to get his attention, weakening the structure of the debris and breaking it in half. The beam was inches away from Zwei's direction hoping that would give the pilot the message

A blue axe bisected the antimatter cannon, as the remaining Tau Drives readjusted the colony halves trajectory to keep them on track for dropping on ORB. Meanwhile, the weaponry of the FSC and Biker Gang's hijacked mechs turned on one another.

"I'm afraid that my friend has some urgent business to attend to." Behind the suit, the ReGHOST dropped it's camouflage, dropping it's Maga no Ikutachi Claws and began draining the power suit of it's energy, "Step aside."

The alien created Sim sped through space onward to earth, however it sensed energy sources from the colony and had veered offcourse in its hunger. following the trail of Tau particles the Sim attempted to ram into the Zwei

The Zwei dodged easily, as Ali's helmeted face split in a crazed grin.

"HA! Looks like I get to kill this bitch after all!"
Guy of Z said
"What? Hostile Units?" Olson said"I guess we're getting into a fight after all. My words came back to bite us all in the ass..." Kei respondedThe Variable fighters switched ammunition and began firing at the opposing suits"Let’s take em down then frag this colony quick!" Olson saidGeist had adapted his power suit into being space capableAfter the shuttle left Earth's gravity Geist left the airlock and stood atop the nose of the ship.As the shuttle approached the colony he saw the battle and began smilingHe launched off the shuttle and the Gang followed in their own units stolen from the base.Geist had told them that the Freedom Space Corps could lead him to the Regular Army so he intended to keep them alive for as long as it suited him.Geist yelled and flew up to a large group of enemy Mobile Suits and blew them away with one shot from an experimental Antimatter beam he stole from the base and added to his own armor.Another unit descended attempting to take Geist down with its Vulcan but ended up impaled on his Melee weapon.Geist began descending on Aaron's position, looking almost like a beast sniffing out the best game "Olson did you see that?""Yeah Kei that single guy just took down half of the enemy units in one shot. Who is he? What is he?""Whoever he is we should stay the hell out of his way, he seems dangerous."With half the Mercenaries decimated the Space Corps units were able to mop up the remaining units and recommence freezing the debris.

The debris continued along it's projected course, the massive colony taking time to be affected, even with the losses the FSC had taken from the fighting.

On the bridge of the Nava-Hoe, Natarle, Aaron, Ali, and choppedchoppedmaru observed the proceedings, as a single unidentified unit approached them like some kind of crazed bloodhound.

"I'm almost tempted to thank them," The short haired woman smugly stated

"This could be troublesome," Aaron replied, turning towards the mercenary, "Can you handle the variable fighters?"

al-Saachez smirked, "Those antiques wouldn't stand a chance. Although that guy coming after us looks like he'd put up a better fight."

Aaron shrugged, "No, I get the feeling that sending you two against each other would be most dangerous. After you finish mopping them up, I'll need you to give me a hand."

"Tch, boring." Ali turned away, heading towards the MS hangar, "Those guys won't stand a chance."

"Natarle," Aaron turned towards the woman, "I'm leaving you and the robot in charge here. Make sure nothing happens to my ship." The raven haired woman nodded, while the green haired gynoid began to shiver in fear.

"Umm, Aaron, you're not going to just leave me here to die, are you?"

The blond man shook his head, "Why would I do that?" The robot began to smile, "Can't have the whole damn ship go down in flames, after all."

The Throne Zwei launched, speeding towards the colony, even as the GN particles suffused the effects of the freezing missiles. Meanwhile the ReGHOST stealthed, then launched to intercept the incoming mech with a number of other, more visible, Astrays.
