Boringverse: En Route to Mars

Screaming in impotent fury, Gentles careened through space towards the Red Planet

"WHY ISNT THIS MAGIC CRAP WORKING?!"

As soon as he got his bearings, answering that question would be the Guild Techs number one priority.

Meanwhile, Alis survival instincts finally kicked in, and he prepared to book it back to friendly space, what remained of the ship followed suit soon afterward
The virus was easily shrugged off, but that did nothing against the now billions of particles enshrouding each engine, melting them down with a childs equivalent of MagiTech.

Ali crossed blades with Bludgeon while Aaron in his ReGHOST looked for an opening to exploit.
Mirage Colloid was a relatively recent innovation of the Earth Federation, considered by them to be a revolutionary step forward in warfare. The microscopic artificial particles drifted through space, ordinarily acting simply as a means of efficiently obscuring light and other means of detection when coated onto an object properly. Under certain circumstances, its energy bending properties could even be abused by creating a field capable of reflecting most types of beam weaponry without issue. But these were only the first applications of this overhyped substance

With the development of the Mirage Colloid Virus system, the particles were proved to be manipulated into carrying forms of energy across space, relatively free of interference. Even so much as allowing for the remote hijacking of state of the art mobile suits

When the gynoid Chachamaru fell into his lap and revealed that she herself was a "state of the art" mechanical construct that ran on magic of all things, Aaron Gentles realized that here lay a trove of knowledge simply begging to be put to use

When Aaron later proved able to provide said magic to the robot via a suggestive ritual that left the Engineer disgusted, he vowed to create an alternative that didnt smack so much of...degeneracy.

When he finished, the Guild Tech figured he may as well weaponize the damn thing for his own use.

So over the course of the several weeks since picking up the toaster, Aaron created a system where his own magical energy could be channeled through his ReGHOSTs Mirage Colloid to generate a number of effects.

That the microscopic particles were now generated in shapes that matched up with the 18 original symbols of the Runic Alphabet was simply flavor, an attempt to circumvent that annoying muttering that magic users used according to Chachamarus memory files.

Aboard the remains of the Nava-Hoe, millions of microscopic particles latched themselves onto the Blitz Engines before glowing a bright white and burning through the weapons hulls continuously, adhering even as it attempted to regenerate, the mirage colloid continuing to pile up until even their creation matrix powered regeneration would be overwhelmed.

Natarle, for her part, remained in the ships hangar with the gynoid and remained somehow free of harm

Meanwhile, Ali charged blindly towards the Pretender, swinging his GN Buster Sword at Bludgeons own blade.

"THE HELL'RE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE?! SOME KINDA ALIEN SAMURAI OR SOMETHIN'?!"

Two red points of light flew from the Zweis hips towards the Herald of Unicron

"FANGU!"

The attempts to throw the engines back ended in failure as the Engines rocketed back onto the ship.Impatient with the progress of the fight Bludgeon took to the airlock to finish this mockery of a battle. He began to zoom into the battlefield in the matter of seconds.Being true to his name, Bludgeon smashed into the Nava-Hoe tearing it in half

Aaron panics, watching his ship become ruined by the new combatants entry.

A single tear runs down his cheek, reminiscent of his Native American heritage.

"YOU BASTARD!" The invisible Astray soars towards Bludgeon, axe raised before it's cut off by the insane laughter of Ali al-Saachez, charging towards the Pretender, GN particles trailing behind the Zwei like a crimson comet.

Still seething, the Engineer reaches for a switch near his Mirage Colloid controls. He flips it, and a single word flashes across his viewscreen. The letters spelling out "MUSPELHEIM".

"Looks like they killed Shinn," Aaron said, noting the lack of the status monitor in the child's normal suit.

"Eh", was Ali's only response

The Engineer shrugged, this had gone on long enough, as he began pumping Mirage Colloid into the ship. Better that most of it be ruined than the ship itself be totaled. Aaron could always repair the damages later.

Ali shifted his Zwei from simply shooting the Blitz Engines that remained within sight, and switched to batting any that came near him back towards Warworld.
A single child appeared before them in a normal suit, wielding a knife while screaming about Mayu, God, and Tradition as it also attempted to shoot the blitz engines with it's other hand.

The ReGHOST attempted to extract the machines as the Zwei took the more efficient route and simply shot them repeatedly since, hey, it wasn't Ali's ship.
The impacts of the Blitz engines caused the Mess Hall of the ship to lurch violently, ruining the sandwich that Natarle had been in the middle of making.

Aaron level a look of the utmost disgust at her, before heading to the Mech Bay, followed by Ali as the ships shields deployed in an attempt to ward off further attack. The Zwei and stealthed ReGHOST took off moments later as the Nava-Hoe automatically began attempting to leave the immediate vicinity.

Bludgeon once again became bored with waiting for another update from TarantulusEvery so often he would slaughter a random civilian ship with Warworld but the fights would be so one sided it felt pointless He wanted a glorious death, granted being a herald of Unicron made such a wish nearly impossible to reach but he had to try.Somewhere out in the multiverse existed either a singular Warrior or a group Warriors powerful enough to challenge him.Suddenly Warworld's sensors picked up another target, the Ship that belonged to the fugitive.Gentles was hardly a challenge and more of a minor nuisance at best but finally having something to test his new weapons brought Bludgeon a sense of satisfaction.

"That should do it..." Aaron grunted, finishing some last minute adjustments to the ReGHOST's Mirage Colloid systems.

"What should do what?" Choppchopped asked timidly while being suspended from meathooks, a number of wires connecting her halved body to a nearby computer.

Aaron ignored her, as he continued working on his Astray. Every now and again he checked something against what appeared to be the robot's programming, before nodding to himself, closing up the mech and wiping his hands off. Minutes later, after cleaning himself, Aaron went to go grab a sandwich from the Mess Hall, and maybe see if he this time he could finally manage to drink Ali under the table.

The wires disconnected from the bisected gynoid, and the hangar fell into darkness.

Chachamaru sighed at being left behind again. Her plan would never take off at this rate.
It had taken a few days, but Aaron and the rest of the crew of the Nava-Hoe finished repairing and recovering from the failed colony drop.

Chachamaru remained locked in her storage closet, while Natarle continued to remain in the kitchen, exiled there due to her utter uselessness in combat. Flit Asuno had lond since departed for other duties, while Ali got drunk and flung knives at a child.

Aaron returned to spending time with the soulless machines that were his only friends. A link that Chachamaru attempted to exploit, but one that failed once Aaron revealed that he enjoyed the company of machines since they were the only ones that didn't complain when he opened them up.

Chachamaru shut up for awhile after that.
