The crashland on Mars did not go unnoticed by the natives. Sensing technology they slowly amassed to surround the downed ReGHOST to claim it as their own, flashes of metal fused into their unholy bodies as they began their death march.
The ReGHOST, miraculously still functional after re-entry, begins pushing itself up from the ground as it stares at the oncoming creatures.

The Astray picks itself up, and attempts to make a break for it while turning invisible in the process. The fires of Mar's limited atmosphere had thankfully kept the damage to the ReGHOST to a minimum, but it's Mirage Colloid Virus spreader was temporarily useless to him. Holding out his axe, Aaron attempted to bail for the nearest man-made looking structure he could find in an attempt to gain his bearings.
