> Tekno, the way u referred to Nightmare's character is a little odd. Your rping the principal in third person, but then referring to Nightmare's character as "you and your". Its kinda awkward. Shouldn't it be like..for example... > > The principal lifted his head up and looked at the boy eyes intently, rummaging through the papers before handing them to him. > > (Instead you did it like...) > > The principal lifted his head and looked at your eyes intently, rummaging through the papers before handing them to you. > > Idk, I'm sorry if im whining. Its just very weird and incoherent for me. LOL Ahh, I see your confusion there. When I type with <> that is in reference to the character them self. So, as to what Nightmare's character was seeing. If I had done {} I would have done a more of a third person type of post. If I was RPin in third person as him, I probably would have mentioned his thoughts, or what he was doing before Sam came into the room. I normally do this when the character isn't extremely important, or if they're doing something I don't want other characters to know about. A good example would be if a character was reading a book, and you walked up to them, I would probably use <> to avoid the other players seeing what they had been reading to build up suspense. I would then use {} at some point if I wanted to show his point of view after the other person left. <> are usually used for specific responses to posts. But sometimes I just go back and forth between the two.
:') ***Cries for you*** Welcome aboard! Different here, eh? Takes a little getting used to. If anyone else posts, AFK for a few minutes. I'm going to grab the trash down by the mailbox. I'll respond to them when I get back. Trash people haven't picked up the trash yet... I'm back.
<Sam>: The Principal seemed to almost jump at your cough before turning around. "Oh, I didn't hear your name being called." he mumbled almost too himself. He shifted a few papers around until he found a few labeled with your name on it. "Ahh, Sam Spark. Here are your papers. They will tell you what classes you will attend this year, and what room you are assigned. We are running out of rooms now, and have to bunk a few of you together in the same room.... Uh..." he shifted through some of his papers, counting too himself while moving his lips in sync with what he was reading. "Would you mind having a roommate in your room? Almost no one's agreed to this yet, so I need a few more people..." he asked you, almost wanting to command you to take it, but not wanting to be forceful.
Okay, no problem! You can always watch a few episodes and remember, or read his character on the wiki if you ever want to PP a character.
Oh, right. You can start RPing now! If you understand his personality, you can RP him for now since it's a small interaction. I'm okay with small interactions, I just usually don't like it when someone RPs a character differently than how they would respond, or make them do something stupid just to get a funny reaction out of them. If it's understandable for that character to do, then yeah! Go ahead. You can even control one of the NPCs outside the office if you understand how they work.
I slipped. xD I tried posting third person for my first post, but I always slip into first person. You can post anyway you like, I'm not picky in that respect! When I type with [], that indicates it is one of my characters, and usually in a first or third person perspective. {} is used for controlling an NPC directly, though usually third person. <> is when I am talking to another player, usually using other characters, or describing things in god-view (Not exactly third person, as it can be the view of multiple people, more specifically the person described with <>.) I tend to post in first person though. I wanted my part of the IC to be all third person... but I couldn't control my fingers. xD I RP better in first person, even though it's usually harder for most people. IDK why. --- > I like first person. Gives you the feeling it's really you doing the awesome stuff when reading it again later. Haha! That's a very good point! I really don't care how you post IC though. :3
Yes! That is correct Merman. I will match it to your character as best I can. If you really want your own stuff, you can tell me. But if I do it, it's more like the computer automatically picking what you get. Like Odd ending up with a purple cat xD
> Hey! Listen! Fixed your post.
**Continues to stalk**
Hey! You can't make character's based after myself! lol. **Shrugs** Accepted! But please note we are no longer looking at this tread anymore. [Please go over to the real thread now!](http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/75237/posts/ic#post-2321422)
