Name: Stanley "Stosh" Kilbowich
Age: 30
Country of Origin: Poland
Religion: Catholic
Division: Comms. ( Also Head Informant of the Clandestine Presses in Warsaw, for his access to information in and beyond Poland)
Appearance:
Personality: Gregarious, but reserved, Stosh is open to his friends and countrymen, ambivalent to most others, and knows better than to openly insult his enemies. He has little experience with combat, he never enlisted in a military unit before the SZP, but he felt compelled to apply his skills to the movement in whatever way he could rather than just sit by and do nothing as the Nazis advanced. He has an adaptable personality, to suit who he's addressing or that the situation requires.
Flaw: Restlessness, and micromanagement. He literally cannot tolerate being idle if there is something of momentousness happening, nor can he get sleep or turn his attention elsewhere if he knows something more interesting is going on or if he hasn't done the job himself. Such a trait makes him a good news hound, but at the cost of him taking a toll on his body from constantly doing things himself without a break, and it makes him hesitant to trust anyone else with his jobs.
Interested.
I could try Roman, or Saxon, though I know next to nothing about them besides what's posted on here, whereas I actually know a little bit about Ancient Ireland. I'll see what I can come up with.

EDIT: Got it
Name: Tiberius Varus Marghek

Appearance: Lightly tanned skin, neatly kept black hair, clean shaven, 5'4'' (//I'm guessing at what the average height of the time would be), 150 lbs, well-built, a flaming cross tattooed on his chest, brown eyes, Cornish accent. When not in his "priest" armour, he wears a simple linen tunic under a chainmail shirt and linen pants.

Culture: Romano-Briton

Religion: Mithraic Christianity

Backstory: Born as a descendant from Roman immigrants in the form of the Legionnaires to Dumnonia, who eventually travelled over to Cornovia following the chaos which ensued following the breaking of the Western Empire, Varus was born into the militaristic kingdom in 840. He grew up working equal parts on his family's land and training to be a part of the new "Legions", growing up on stories of Magnus Artorias and his Ala Artorii Invicti, and eventually on the teachings of the Mithraic Cult. A fervent believer of Mithras-Christos, Varus ascended the ranks of the Cult to become a fully-fledged warrior-priest, leading his fellow warriors into battle with the flaming cross of their Lord and leading by example as their "centurion". His performance and appearance would make the real Centurions of the II Avgvsta laugh, though his skills and fanatical fury are not in question. He even goes so far as disobeying his superiors at times, taking his cohort out to take the fight to the enemy rather than wait, though he would not disobey his King or betray his brethren in the cult simply for glory. He even goes so far as to punish those within his own cohort who do not live up to his expectations of either devotion or enthusiasm for vanquishing evil. Rites of passage range from symbolic rituals such as drinking the blood of a bull, carving the latest cross for their standard to be burned in the next battle, to capturing and killing a man who has been declared an enemy of the God of Light and Mithras-Christos before his cohort are implemented by Varus to weed out the devoted from the weak, though in Cornovia there is no shortage of faithful.
This still open, or closed?
What about the Picts? Unless we're saying that the Celts already conquered them. Either way, I may be interested.

Name
Veronica Ivanorva

Age
29

Gender
Female

Call Sign
Boar

Personnel Description
Tough and disciplined, Veronica isn't your average woman. She likes to keep her hair short, doesn't really care about getting herself dirty, and dislikes people giving her differential treatment for being a woman. To this end, she often tries to take up opportunities to show off, and grows restless if she has nothing to do.

Backstory Description
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Veronica's family moved to America when she was 4 years old, moving to New York City and residing in Queens. There, she grew up among three older brothers as her mother and father took jobs as a nurse and a taxi driver respectively. She grew up learning from her brothers how to act and how to look after herself, which was different from most girls she grew up with, though she had no trouble with bullies or abusive boyfriends. Once she graduated out of high school, she saw an opportunity to join the US army, as her father had described their family's long tradition of soldiers, revolutionaries, and partizans back in Russia, both among the men and women of their ancestors, and gave her encouragement to show that it wasn't simply a man's profession.

During her Basic Training, Veronica showed difficulty with both accepting authority and the physical demands of the course at first, with her actually have to retake Basic Training after her original class graduated into the army. Her second attempt was much better, and she passed her various exercises with acceptable performances. She served time in Iraq and Afghanistan as a heavy weapons specialist in an Ordinance Battalion, ranging from disassembling the parts of disarmed IEDs, preparing small artillery units, servicing RPGs, LMGS, and participating in several raids upon insurgent strongholds. She made several tours over there before returning home and settling into assisting in the training of new specialists in her branch of the army.

Given her active role and steadfast performance, she was offered a chance to join the Strategic Homeland Division, a Division created to ensure that American society would not fall apart in the event of a major disaster or catastrophe. Considering that she was not even an American citizen by birth, Veronica felt great pride at being offered the opportunity to join this Division, and she took up their offer, though she also wondered if the day would come that such a division would ever be needed. A couple years passed, her father died of old age and mother obtained dementia, and her brothers had long left New York to other parts of the country to find other jobs, but eventually that day came on the infamous Black Friday.

Surprised, but undaunted, Veronica stuck to the obligations she had made and reported for duty as the ensuing chaos swept across America, and the city she called home.
