Misty watched him slowly drift to sleep and she chewed on her lower lip.

"I'll try." She said softly as she added some more wood to the fire then walked to the cave system, diving in and swimming towards where she knew Erick would be.

"What the heck! You don't need to go back there, he's dangerous!" Erick growled when she swam up to him. "Let his people find him."

"They won't find him and you know that. Not without my help." She replied crossing her arms. "Erick, just trust me in that I know what I'm doing!"

"You don't know what your doing, no one knows what the humans are capable of! They are vicious. You've seen the mutations they have made." He snapped back.

"Not all of them are bad, he's not back, come on Erick. I've watched humans for a long time now, they aren't as bad as everyone thinks. Yes some of them are, but not all of them!"

"You've been watching them! You know that's against the rules!" Erick hissed.

"So is the fact that you came and met him instead of dragging me home. You're in this too, so keep your mouth shut." She hissed swimming back towards the island.

"Where are you going?" Erick demanded.

"To keep an eye on him. I'm going to find a way to get him back to his people. Just leave me and him alone, Erick." She replied before taking off.
"I haven't seen you be violent, all guys seem to have to size each other up. I just didn't figure Erick would egg you on. I will only keep to go check in, make sure no one else comes because my people won't treat you that well." She replied as she leaned against a tree. She had another hour before she had to get back in the water. "So tell me about you, where are you from?"

She watched him carefully, she didn't know why he said he was crazy, but it made her feel happy that he didn't want her to go anywhere. She just had to figure out a way to get a message to his team without being found out.
Sorry, I've been busy. :P
"No, he won't say anything because instead of dragging me home when he heard I had an...outsider out here he followed me. So he'd get in just as much trouble." She shrugged hoping she was right about that. She sat down and glanced at him, the way the fire danced on his skin and in his eyes was almost majestic. She blinked a few times and glanced at the fire in front of her. "I'll go in a little bit to make sure, but it'll be fine. I'm sorry about that, I know I must seem strange and all but I'm not. If you want I can leave, someone will find you."

She was slowly forming a plan in her head to find something that had a tracker on it from his team and take it to the island. So if they followed it they would find him and he could safely go back home.
"Any outsiders aren't viewed with high regard. Our prescience isn't known to the outside world. Our people like to keep it that way." She shrugged a little as she chewed on her lip trying to figure out how to explain everything to him without giving away the full truth. "My father is alive, not so much here, but he's alive."

She started to pace as she thought. How would she explain everything. It wasn't like there was a cave system that wasn't full of water that she could say led back to a city of her people or anything. There was just the island, the only land as far as the eye could see. What had she gotten herself into? What was she going to do? Just leave and hope someone found him? But then he would try and find her, he wouldn't of course but she didn't want him to think he'd imagined it all.
Misty saw Erick go to shove Shane back and she clenched her fists glaring at him her eyes bright red.

"Go home, Erick." Misty growled at him. She wasn't going to have him hurting a human, or being hurt by one. She didn't want anyone to have an actual reason to dislike the humans. Erick's gaze flashed to her for a split second and he backed up his eyes going back to Shane.

"Fine, but like you said, this isn't over." Erick hissed before turning and storming back into the woods. Misty turned to face away from Shane trying to calm down. She blinked a few times so her eyes would go to normal as she breathed in and out slowly.

"Sorry about him." She said glancing back at Shane.
Erick laughed a bitter laugh shaking his head at Shane. "You can't even take care of yourself or she wouldn't have had to pull you out of the ocean. How the hell would you protect her. Let alone the fact that in all honesty she is probably set up to be able to take care of herself a hell of a lot better than you could."

"Erick!" Misty looked at Erick her eyes wide. Could he not tell that he was only adding fuel to a flame. That he might as well have been egging Shane on. "How about you go home, ok? Please."

She said please, but she didn't mean it. He needed to leave and he needed to leave now. Things were going to escalate out of hand if he didn't.

"I'll go, but I give you an hour, if I haven't seen you by then I'm finding your father." Erick said. She felt herself go stiff. If he got her father she would be screwed, she would never get to leave the shimmer again!
When Erick backed up one step Misty took that as he would back off now too, but the look on his face told her he wasn't at all happy about it. She turned and looked at Shane keeping her hands on her hips.

"We grew up together, been friends all our lives." She replied with a shrug.

"Though you haven't been this crazy all your life. Taking care of someone you know nothing about." Erick replied keeping his eyes on Shane.

"Don't you need to go home or something, Erick?" Misty demanded turning to face him. He glanced at her for maybe a second a frown on his face.

"I'm not leaving you with him." Erick replied his eyes going back to Shane. "I don't trust him."
"You are hurt, I'm not about to have to patch you up again, let alone patch him up too." She replied looking right at Shane trying to keep her eyes from flashing a different color. "Plus, it's not polite to fight in front of a girl, or so I'm told."

She turned her attention to Erick her eyebrow raised to see if he was going to try to argue with her. She could tell he wanted to and she was not going to have any of it.

"I'm not backing down from this meathead." Erick huffed his eyes focused on Shane. She could tell he wanted to fight him, and she wondered if part of it was because he wanted to see how he would match up against a human on land.

"Well neither of you are fighting. You are not about to fight my guest so you might as well back down." Misty replied putting her hands on her hips and raising an eyebrow a little daring him to say otherwise. She threw the same look at Shane, she couldn't let them fight, because if for whatever reason the fight moved to water they were screwed.
Misty quickly stepped between the two placing a hand on both of their chests.

"NO! No fighting, it's not necessary." She frowned looking between the two. When she looked at Erick her eyes flashed orange for a split second. She would use her royal heritage if she had to. She would make Erick stand down, even if she didn't like making someone else do something. She saw Erick's jaw twitch in anger.

"Move, Misty, we're not going to kill each other." Erick laughed a little. "Plus, I'm not about to let this puny SEAL beat me."
