Ahem NEEDS TO BE IN THE OOC THREAD! Located next to the IC thread tab above.
Yes, please do. But in the OOC section (tab) thank you.
He blows smoke at you, followed by the sound of his chair creaking as he sits forward taking you in with a grin.

'So Doc,' He smirks around his cigarette, taking another deep pull.

'When do we leave?'
Place still open.
Place still open for this.
Hmm it appears I've not gotten your PM, care to message here?
An so our adventure begins

First to reply in the OOC is welcome aboard.

Hello there compatriot. Thank you for choosing to go along with me on this adventure. Here again is an overview of what will hopefully happen.

You will primarily be playing the hero in this little story of ours, and I will mostly be playing the Game Master. The one who controls the monsters, people and the world itself at large. However, you will help me along the way in creating the world.

So for example:
We find you in a cave searching for treasure rumored to be hidden their in. As you explore you hear something coming for you. What is it? You say its a gang of Troglodytes! Fantastic, from this i can write what happens once you've dealt with them.

Does that make sense? So we will be building a story and world together. Should be quite fun.

So yeah before we begin who are you? All I ask is that you not be 'DEMI GOD UBER HERO, WITH THE SWORD OF DEATH AND ANGELS' That takes away from the sought of discovery and character/story progression since that's a far off end state. So lets say in 'D&D terms' you'll be a lvl 2 hero. Some experience from your home town, but the world is still a great unknown to you, and you to it.

What are your characters, short, mid, and long term goals? OOC what sort of things do you want to be in the world, tell me about your home town, stuff I can use to begin fleshing out the land we shall go a questing through.

Any questions please do ask.
Hey glad your interested. Well It all depends. Doesn't have to be massively long, a paragraph at some points is acceptable, as is a single line. It all depends on whats going on. The introduction of a lord or lady may be quite lengthy, whilst the swing of a sword would only be a few lines.

My idea also is to have the OOC side of the thread as a sort of encyclopedia or travelers guide to the land we make. So for example, you the hero after slaying a den of wicked owl bears travel west, and you say they come across the town of Varsay. Varsay would get an entry in the Encyclopedia, which can be added to etc as time goes on. It being in the OOC would mean we can edit and add to it in our own time without getting distracted from the story.

Any other questions?
Seems good to me. I'm interested.
