1) Skin Manipulation- Edd can manipulate his own skin, from making it as dense as concrete, to as light as a feather for a gliding effect. He can also change it's color for a chameleon effect
2) Sticky Sweat- Edd's sweat and skin oils are super adhesive, allowing him to cling to surfaces when he is sweating due to fatigue
Personality:
Edd doesn't see a person's color or whether they are sapien or superior, his experience with his own power has taught him that judgement based upon looks is irrelevant, but due to early school years of being bullied, he has developed a tough exterior and has massive trusting issues.
Family: He never knew his father, but his mother was hardly in his life, working multiple jobs day and night to keep the lights on, but early in his life she was killed by a gangbanger and so he was put into adoption center after adoption center, considered to be bad luck because nobody would visit a "mutant pity home"
Bio: Edd was born in Minnasota, the most friendliest place in the United States, but that was not the case behind closed doors. He didn't have his father in his life, and his mother struggled financially, eventually forcing them to move to an area with more job potiential and more opportinity overall.
This led to their moving to New York City. At the age of about 10, Edd witnessed some older boys beating up another kid and stepped in to stop the violence, and it was this event that brought forth his mutation and subsequent beating. Very quickly their lives deteorated from bricks being through at their home, to bullies at school, until the final straw in the form of his mother's murder.
At least three or four times a year he would be handed off to another foster family and treated with disrespect and like garbage, yet he still kept a positive attitude, or at least tried to.
it was only within the last year that faculty members of the school found him in a broken home whose owners only wanted him for tax purposes. It was at this school for mutants that he finally felt he had a true home.

A World To Inherit

This is a roleplay that combines various things:

1) The concept of Contagion where a sickness develops through various animals
2) Global Warming
3) I Am Legend and the concept where the cure for cancer turned them into monsters who had acidic reactions to sunlight
4) World War Z where Israel is a rumored safe haven

A World To Inherit

The year is 2114

The world's population, peaked one hundred years ago at 7.3 billion, is now down to a nightmarish 1 million. Why is this the case?

Because on Halloween Night in the year 2014, the world grew sick and threw up. From it's bowls, a sickness was born into the grass. The grass was eaten by animals, those animals were eaten by other animals, and those animals were hunted down and eaten by us.

There was something different about this virus though, and it seemed to get stronger in hotter climates.

So the planet's puke and our sky's cancer worked together to kill us off in a sweet revenge story.

We weren't killed off quickly, it first gave impressions of a common terminal disease back then, called cancer. Then it became contagious, kids had seizures in school, parents died while cooking dinner for their families, and politicians were put into comas.

In the span of 50 years, the tables were covertly turned on us and we never saw it coming until it was too late. In a half a century America was turned into a quarantined police state, those with advanced stages were deported to Canada, who with their more advanced health care system, tried their best to help, but in a few short years, everyone there was dead, and North America had fallen.

There was no word in Europe about the situation on their end, although there were rumors of a safe zone, in someplace once known as Israel, but getting there would prove to be a pipe dream...

And so society died during the New Year "celebrations" of 2090. What was there to celebrate anyway? That we'd lived another day.

A few years later and a blessing had arrived from a WHO installation in what was once France, they found a cure. Alas this news was bittersweet, as the world was near extinction with a ray of hope on the horizon.

Those who remained took the cure without a second's hesitation, but it had some unforseen consequences...

10 years ago, anybody on the streets of America's ruins can tell you that it was just like yesterday, the mutations were.

Apparently the "so-called cure" was slowly evolving humanity's exctinction event into something much, much worse.

When Patient Zero took the cure, they were transformed into a cannibalistic monstrosity that nothing except the light of day could kill. Survivors took up arms against the beasts, gone were AK-47s, gone were pump action shotguns, people now used LED flashlights to combat this threat.

A ray of hope appeared in the horizon, and the war was won, but at a cost of human life, irretrievable, unforgettable.

Im interested but cant decide on a mutation from a list I just compiled:

Remote Viewing- a blind mutant who canonly see through other people's eyes
Retro Sight- another blind mutant who can only see by look into a person's past memories
Truth Audio- whenever a person is in proximity to this mutant, they are compelled to speak the truth
Aura Taste Buds- by tasting the air around a person, this mutant can tell if they are good, bad, shifty, have ulterior motives, ect.
emotionally charged superspeed- depending upon which emotion this mutant feels, the faster or slower they become
day/night charged superstrength- their strength level depends on the time. At 12 exactly they are at their strongest, 12 midnight their weakest
