Are mutant rights an issue that's already being discussed? How long have they been around, only very recently, right? Are there already rights abuses? Is there a movement for them already?
Questions I need for my character ideas.
I'm not sure about powers, but at the moment I'm thinking of a street artist, a sort of guerrilla activist.
The Mutant population has been around for the last 30-ish years, though only in puberty of said population was it discovered, so for 15 years or so was it public knowledge. Mutant rights haven't been discussed politically by public knowledge, merely by third parties in the shadows and the higher tiers of government. There is no movement for them (yet ;)), as they are all disjointed individuals. Some use their powers for personal gain, some do it make the world safe, but those numbers are very miniscule.

To make life easier, I changed Eris's college (which may or may not be an actual college that offers Chemical Engineering), and since in real life it'd make sense for the college located at the nation's capital to be very prestigious, I'd like to think that it is in this RP.
