Dr. Wang's past is only known in rumors. He could have been much, much younger than that and only look 70 because of stress.I want to say that the reason why the Fake Monk has an amplifier but the others don't is because the tech is limited since, after all, the Thunderchild crew are just a bunch of annoying pirates.

The problem is that in order to have been born before the land was turned into shards, you would have to be over 150 years old.

Nope.You are demonstrably wrong.

"RinCo created most of the underlying technologies for the original and modern day kensai."

RinCo was, at that time, part of the UN. They are no longer, now being a neutral party that hates the UN's guts, and the UN hasn't gotten a new development in technology since the RinCo's dual CRS system.

But how are they the dominant force when these other super-geniuses exist? Wouldn't those much more gifted force be ruling over the land? As they are clearly the superior ones, they should have no problem stomping down the enemy, especially if the UN is behind in the tech race. I'm confused on this matter, and how the UN is dominant.

If I build one King Tiger, and you have 100 T-34, who do you think will win?
"...What truly made them up is unknown, but the potent power was clearly displayed by the UN's new weapons – the kensai...

Also the reactors they run on.
"

Said Kensai and reactors were BOUGHT from a neutral party that now hates them. Which is on the front page.
"I want to say that the reason why the Fake Monk has an amplifier but the others don't is because the tech is limited since, after all, the Thunderchild crew are just a bunch of annoying pirates.
"

Just because you don't CURRENTLY have the resources to reproduce an overpowered technology doesn't mean you won't always. I'm not going to give you an overpowered technology, let you guys raid one base successfully to get materials, and then produce a superweapon capable of leveling the world.
No, the UN did not invent mecha. Nor do they have the advantage of magically enhanced super-geniuses like their opponents in the tech race. You seem to be basing your conclusions off of information that is not included in this thread.
Which one of us is the sly one?
"A bigger version of the sword Hugo uses but scaled for a bot."

Unless there is something special about this sword, it is inferior to even a rookie Shisso in melee capabilities. Just a heads up. Is it an EDB or specially shielded?
"4x Point defense systems"

That work... How? More detail please. In a setting with multiple types of point defenses, specification is necessary.
"Generic rifle"

Just so we are both on the same page, this means it is a ballistic weapon.
"ATA-series armor"

There is constant mention of a ATA-series armor, but other than being waterproof, I know nothing about it. Is it just so nondescript as to not be worth our time?
"the weapon, while terrifyingly effective, would kill off most of the civilian population as well."

The U.N. has never gotten even vaguely close to having designed such a system once, much less multiple times. The U.N. is generally a step behind in the tech race.
"and the only person alive who was actually born there, before it became a shard"

As old as he is, he is not that old. We apologize for not establishing that the merging was 150 years ago.
"capable of receiving wireless signals from other Kensai belonging to the Thunderchild, namely those which operate the Sonic Disruptor, and can amplify the sound over ten fold."

So, if I understand it correct, the Fake Monk is equipped with a system that receives the sound based attacks from the other Kensai and then projects it out multiplied.

If this system existed, it would make far more sense to simply design all your speaker systems with this multiplication effect already installed.

Also, in the natural progression that will happen eventually, if someone lines up two Powered Speakers systems from the Fake Monk, suddenly you have exponential attack power growth.

Exponentially growing power is a bad thing. Powered Speakers, if I understand it correctly, is denied. You are welcome to use the same normal designs as the other mechs, however.
General Notices-
Unless I missed them, none of your Kensai have any noted weaknesses in their armor, unlike every other Kensai in existence. This is ok, but means that your average case performance will be slightly worse due to having no lower end to balance it out.
Working on two villain bios, they should be ready by tomorrow.
Ninja Janitor

After a few brief moments of sharpie squeaking noises, a sign fell down from the ceiling, slowly turning for both Aram and Key to see. Sadly, for the Ninja Janitor's usual modus operandi of attaching a gift, she didn't had time. The constant damage was keeping her busy.

"Does he think speaking in easily deciphered riddles, obvious doublespeak, and poorly crafted parables makes him look smart? He's an overpowered moron with no sense of grace or propriety. :("

More squeaking. Another sign.

"The Bearer of my Bearer,
A soul long passed,
Still glows brighter,
Through the Riddle's Glass."
