Is this going to be like Fire Emblem:RD in that a massive army is seriously like a couple hundred guys?

Because according to Radiant Dawn the literal population of Daein pre-plague was like 5000 people.

But in Awakening armies are supposed to be millions.
"You're the scout, correct? Was there any pattern to the areas they went to attack? Certain towns, trade routes, animal habitats? Is this a military strike or just a rioting legion? " A soft, almost growl-like noise escaped his mouth softly. His brand prickled, for no reason besides mere coincidence, but it still disturbed Sammael's thought process for a moment.

Ashielle turned to the one who addressed her and let him get out his full statement and then waited a few* moments before responding. Perhaps she was just trolling him with an awkward silence or was collecting her thoughts. The mask made it rather hard to tell.

"I was scouting yes, but I cannot guarantee the veracity of my hunches, as I was trained for phalanx formation open warfare. This is merely my intuition as a wanderer." She let that hang for slight emphasis. Ashielle didn't use much. "As for all the rest of your questions, I have zero information, as I was scouting out our perimeter a few hours out and did not reach the enemy lines or behind them. If I had seen the enemy or any direct damage done by them, I would have been yelling my head off about how we should be grabbing weapons because they'd be close enough to strike."

*not guaranteed to be few by most people's standards.
Tai Yang

"I will begin." Tai Yang intoned as they neared the end of their time in class.

"When I think of peace, I think of my valley and my home, far away from the hustle and bustle of this world that moves ever forward. When I look at my vision in the most positive light, I see that I believe there are places in this world untouched by the fighting between the strong and weak. Those are the places of peace I seek to protect with my strength. When I look at my vision in the most negative light, I see that I still value my home above the homes of others. Even as I walk the halls of this academy, I must always keep in mind that this place too is worth protecting. It is not my home, but that does not make it any less worthy. That is what I have learned."

Tai Yang let that moment hang. "And you two, feel free to express yourself in any way you so wish."
"Nothing yet. The animals are restless though. I surmise they are near but not imminent." Ashielle seemed unperturbed in tone and her mask was as impassive as ever. As though she was speaking about some inclement weather rather than a mob of bandits.

"They drive a wave of fear through the wood far beyond their direct reach like they enjoy destruction for its own sake, Captain." Despite how these words spoken in a different tone could be seen as fatalism and defeatism, Ashielle's tone seemed more, vaguely disapproving of such actions. As though she was disapproving of an underhanded tactic in a sport or game. Well, actually, people usually seemed to get quite worked up about such tactics in games and Ashielle was rather calm about it.
Maybe perception isn't a class skill for you?
I'm gonna go ahead and keep Ashielle out of this scene, it has enough personalities in it already.
"I've finished my scouting, would you like to hear my...." Ashielle's words trailed off as she examined the current situation from her vantage point. Hoo boy... Lots of people. Loud people. And aggressive stances. And hiring.

~You know what would be awesome?~ Her mind told her. ~Not being here right now. What do you say you just take next shift on the scouting too?~

Ashielle was once more grateful for her impassive mask as she grimaced in begrudging approval of her mind. This was not the place to be right now. She slowly began moonwalking back out of the scene to try and escape before anyone noticed her.
We have so many social liabilities... And so many combat liabilities. We can't be thrown at a dungeon and told "kill everything that moves" because a bunch of us would be left out... We can't be thrown at a village and told "subtly find the source of evil" because a bunch of us would start a massacre from a misunderstanding. I look forward to seeing what Baklava can put together.
I think we were wondering if they show the brands openly.

Ashielle for example, wears her mask because her brand is super obvious.
Mmm... Favorite Canon Chapter...

I am fond of the Spess Mehreens chapter...

But the Wolves are awesome too...

And the Ultramarines that understand the intent of the codex astartes are cool, instead of just the words...

AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!
