Why would I ever invade the Alliance when I have 70k soldiers camped outside my capital city?

70k soldiers ready to get slaughtered by your northern barbarian neighbors.
But... but... we have iron and coal and copper and other natural minerals. :'(
You have not learned from the other would-by invaders who marched into alliance grounds.

Best to quell the vultures before they grow too large in number.

But we are but crows compared to other greater schemers and plotters out there.
I was thinking that I would have to be heated to about 5505 Celsius or 5,778 Kelvin. Somewhere at or close to the temperature at the surface of the sun.

Also people would probably be keeping the stuff in very durable and safe containers specifically designed to hold the stuff. It would also make the stuff more dangerous to weaponize as you said, simply breathing on it would set it off.
That's not warmongering silly, we're just being opportunist. :D
No need to apologize, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions.

*If the gaseous form of the thing is very potent, it makes sense if some of it has detonated naturally before humanity's arrival. If it's as powerful as you say, It'd be nice if we see some badly scarred planets resulting from a Bycorium deposit explosion.

Since most of the stuff is going to be in it's crystal form, most of the planet's would be unharmed. Gas giants would have the gas stuff but I'm thinking of only one gas giant with constant explosions. This is still up for debate and if you would like to request a planet with say Bycorium springs that release the gas from deep underground crevasses, just tell me.

*Where do the player nations start? Are we basing ourselves in a mothership or we get to reserve a planet (or part of it)? Are we new nations entering the sector, or have we established colonies in the system?

Players get to start off with their own planets. A single planet would have a single government. I'm still thinking whether to include independent, colony-ship based nations or not.

*Will this NRP involve dice-rolling? If so, how much?

Probably minimum use of dice-rolling. I'll roll the dice sometimes to create certain scenarios(Such as natural calamities on planets, wars on other parts of the universe that may affect the sales of Bycorium and stuff like that). If war between players occur (and they probably will at one point or another) and an outcome can't be negotiated between the two parties, we would probably have to resort to dice rolling as well.

*What benefits (aside from money) does a player get when he/she is in control of most Bycorium in the sector? Do we have access to Byrorium warheads? (It'd be both great and game-breaking if we can just drop 5000 hiroshima's worth of explosives at our enemies.)

Yes there would be other uses for Bycorium. From scientific studies to power for your own country to the making of weapons would probably be included in the roles of the element. And yes, players will have access to warheads in the future. I'm thinking that other planets and/or power blocks with different ideologies would wage a cold war on this sector of the universe. A sort of Bycorium scare with would prevalent within the future history in the Columbus sector.

*Also, since you used Hiroshima as a unit of measure, is Bycorium, by any chance, radioactive (and thus capable of being used to perform uncontrolled nuclear fission a.k.a be a nuke)?

Unfortunately, Bycorium is not radioactive and is a very stable element unless introduced to Carbon Dioxide.

If there's anymore questions you or anybody else would like to ask, feel free to do so. :)
Why did we do?
Sure the alliance kinda oppressed the people of Dont for a while and then we did kinda waged war on our southern neighbor but that's npthing to fret about.

I'll also hand over leadership of the Commerce League to Asura if he wants to control it.

Wait what?
Noooo!
Do we start off with the updates or are there still some of us who haven't posted their post for the summer update yet?
