Might be a few days before I can reply to everyone, I apologize. Moving 250 miles for an internship this weekend and I start tomorrow, but I'll get to everyone ASAP!

Why must autocorrect ruin things in a way that is not even correct?

I'm still here and planning on making a character, just been incredibly busy this weekend.
I'll throw my interest in as well
O.o
Good to hear. I'm patient, but unfortunately some others are not so if we get moving along hopefully we can avoid anymore drop outs. In the mean time, I've updated my relationship sheet. Maybe to kill time in the OOC some people could establish further relationships for their characters that go beyond just the snippet on the sheet? After all, some of them have been in there for some time together. Just a suggestion to keep the interest.
Kasai smiled when Avani took the spot next to her on the couch like she had done every morning for weeks now. "Good morning sleepy head." She took another sip of her tea before resting her head on Avani's. "That doesn't sound like the safest way to start our adventure." She chuckled a bit, "We'll get some food in you and let you sober up before you're driving me anywhere."

She smiled and enjoyed the calm silence that lingered between them, assuming Avani had fallen back asleep. When she spoke again the words were lazy and tired. "Hm? Oh, no I haven't heard anything. May have been a waste of time after all." She frowned and eyed the telephone that she had unplugged the evening before. If they had made it in the paper, they would surely find out one way or another. Right?

"Here, let me up. I've got to check on breakfast." She kissed Avani on the forehead before removing herself from the couch and making her way to the kitchen. A few things needed stirring or flipping, a pinch of salt here and a dash of pepper there. For the most part, it could all simmer away for a few more minutes and be ready to eat.

Kasai looked back into the living room and saw Avani still laying on the couch. She as she was making her way back to join her, she saw something peeking out from under her door. Curiously, she walked over and saw it was a note that said "Open the door. Next time, answer your phone." Kasai clenched her jaw and slowly opened her door, peering around it to see a paper lying on the doormat.

The paper was a barely-known daily circulation that Kasai herself had only read a handful of times. On the front was an image of a statue of an elderly man standing next to a cart full of cabbages, and some headline about Cabbage Corp. On the side column of the front page, however, was an index and one story was circled in red pen. "Mayor of Republic City: A Story He Doesn't Want You to Know."

Kasai turned to the indicated page and saw a picture of herself and Avani, and then skimmed through the article that recounted some of what they had told the reporter. A lot of it seemed to be exaggerated, blown up for literary purposes. The end of the article, though, took on a much more political tone. Calling for the people to recognize the mayor's faults, make him accountable for what happened, give the fallen the kind of honor they deserved for going out on his poorly organized and overseen mission. Hell, it even called for the Avatar to do something about it.

Kasai frowned and shook her head, carrying the paper back to the living room and tossing it onto the coffee table. "Well, there ya go. Lesson learned. It's not a widely circulated paper, but I'm sure it'll get some blood boiling on the mayor. Who knows what kind of effect it'll have. We'll be gone before it happens, if it happens." Kasai said, turning back towards the kitchen and clanking some pots and pans, putting plates out and getting the food together.
I just thought of this.. Is it too cliche that I made Innis an orphan?

Nah, I don't think so. Adds to the character and their personality.

Added the relationship sheet to my character, will update as new people are added :3

Kennedy Montgomery

Kennedy stands at 5'6", athletically built and weighing in at a muscular 140lbs. She is one quarter Native American, with some Irish and Polish mixed in from her Dad's side. She has several tattoos. A couple are visible with clothing, such as the arrow on her wrist and the soccer ball on her right foot. Others require a bit of friendship to be revealed.
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Occupation: High school history teacher and soccer coach
Astrological sign: Leo
When did you arrive?: 4th to arrive
Personality:
Kennedy is a genuinely kind and warm-natured person. Her personality is a strong one, but it is not overbearing. Most find her to be very welcoming, regardless of history or relationship. Kennedy tends to be a social creature, truly interested in others and their idea's and thoughts. She is quite the academic, always curious about things she does not know and willing to learn more. Being a former athlete, she can easily work with others or take on a leadership role among her peers, though she prefers to remain neutral. Easily bored, Kennedy often finds herself investing in new or novel hobbies, unafraid to try new things and let her mind wander.

Because of her warm-hearted and caring nature, some can find her to be a bit intrusive or annoying with her concern. She may or may not take offense to this, as sometimes she is able to recognize her interference. Apart from that, she is overall a genuine soul with a care for others and curiosity about her. To those she befriends, she is loyal to a fault. To those who betray her, she is too quick to forgive.

History:
Kennedy started playing soccer at the young age of 4. The love of futbol quickly overtook her and she was enthralled with the sport for the entirety of her childhood. In school, Kennedy was a good student, honor roll and varsity starter. Her dedication to the team and concern for all of her teammates earned her the captain's position when she was only a sophomore.

The hard work in high school paid off both academically and athletically, as Kennedy was awarded a scholarship to play soccer on the Division 1 level. Soon, scouts from the professional level and the national team were looking at her going into her third year of school. Kennedy finished her college career as an All-Conference player and graduated with a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a minor in history.

Instead of beginning her career as an educator, Kennedy took up an offer to play professional soccer in Europe. She played there for several years, eventually earning a call up to the national team for the United States. Kennedy was one of the youngest players at the camp when she was first called up, and it took several camp call ups before she got the nod to suit up and join the roster for her first ever international game.

Unfortunately, Kennedy's professional career quickly ended in tragedy. During an international friendly against a competitive Australian team, Kennedy was injured. A torn ACL. The injury required surgery and more than a year of rehab. She pushed through and recovered, but not before missing her window to remain on the national team and play professionally. Gutted, she returned to her home state and took up a teaching and coaching job, where she has spent the last two years of her life.

Miscellaneous:
Kennedy resents the fact that she got injured and that her career was ended prematurely.
She was well known enough to be referred to as "the next big up-and-comer" on the national team, and she hates the fact that some people recognize her and bring up how good she "used to be" or "how much potential" she had.
