Name: Alta Dupont

School: Hellsing Academy

Magic: Like most in her school, aside from her father Armand, Alta channels magic through her gun; A modified FAMAS G2 designed for marksman use.As a Gunslinger, she relies on earth magic to tap into her fire arm, but the addition of wind magic gives her the option to make her shots silent, give them extra penetrative power, or detonate a soft target with a high charge of electrical energy. Classical uses of her wind magic include the ability to make herself move more quietly or faster, while her classic earth magic allows her to construct cover anywhere.

Background: As the daughter of the headmaster of hellsing academy, Alta has been afforded training by retired french operators in weapons use, and trained by armand in magic use. She's skilled and learns her lessons quickly, but she is inexperienced in the field due to her relatively young age. She is capable of projecting her power competently, but has little to nothing in the way of defense, and prefers to be some distance from the fight. She was present and fought in the siege on the Hellsing Castle, though she fought at range and thus it isn't known how many targets she destroyed. She is a mix between a french man, and another unknown person. Runes on her body give her access to strange powers, though she's very rarely seen using them.

Personality: Alta is reserved, but overall rather chipper and friendly. She's 19 years old, but for the most part her relative immaturity is masked by her thoughtful and careful demeanor, though she is still prone to making rash decisions like most people her age. Most of her personality is mimicry of her father, who she views in the light of a hero and as someone impossible to beat. Though she isn't technically correct about his invincibility, she's witnessed first hand that she effectively is. During the siege on her home, she worked out of a back tower of the castle as a sniper, and got to witness first hand the magnitude of destruction her father could bring to bear on a target. Her mother is not known to anyone except Armand, who refuses to speak on the subject, though she has some idea of who it may be, even if she wont indicate what that idea is.

Physical description: Pale and beautiful. Alta has white hair, fair skin and striking eyes that appear to be symmetrically deformed so that the pupil twice as tall as it is wide. This doesn't appear to impact her vision, in fact quite the opposite; she remains as deadly a sniper as she is an observant woman. She's fairly short, around 5 foot 3 or so. Her weight isn't discussed, but a good guesser would put her pretty close to the 100 pound mark. She's fit, but it doesn't really seem to show unfortunately. She has what someone would call a "runners body", which is to say, thin but not muscular. Her body is adorned with several runic tattoos that are imbued with magic.

In our day and age, modern Europe is the hub for Hunters of all kinds. Mages calling down fire and Slayers that have trained their skills with the blade. Dragon slayers and vampire hunters occupy castles and church halls. Werewolves are culled in the fields, and succubus are vanquished in whore houses. For the most part, these activities are carried out in secret. There are those in the world who aren't with any of the schools, but have had encounters with either the monsters, or the hunters. People call them crazy when they speak of it, others simply stay silent and do their research, preparing for their next run in with the beasts.
The primary organization for the hunters is named The Hellsing academy, founded by the first true Slayer to take up his mantle with himself as the headmaster. After a few decades of training powerful Slayers like himself, hundreds of thousands of man hours put into research, and untold legions of unholy abominations slaughtered, the great Slayer and his companions had created the first true school of magic, dubbed "The SpellSlinger".
Unlike Slayers with their gadgets and traditional weapons, the Gunslingers leveraged their mastery of the elements in the now perfected form of magic bullets, and enchanted physical rounds. They took their findings to the other schools that occupied the European monster hunting theater, with all four magic elements made available so that new schools of thought could be created in the arts. In exchange for their research on elemental mastery, the schools would reorganize under the Van Hellsing academy in a loose but cooperative coalition. With that, the Academy became the spearhead of large scale anti-monster military magic, with dozens of specialized schools under them who also maintained forces to bring against the growing horde.
With this new and highly powerful coalition of demon and monster hunters established, the number of human attacks on the forces of darkness became three times as frequent, with losses dropping to a staggeringly low number. Gunslingers, in coordination with specialists of all types, all but erradicated the blight that had been set upon humanity. With evil losing it's grasp on the planet, and new schools set up in north america, and asia, criminality took an equally substantial dive. human armed conflict dwindled to brush wars in undeveloped regions in the world, which the schools promptly set their sights on, seeking to improve the lives of all of humanity.
However, with their work, comes a price. As humanity was silently marched towards a Utopian state by the quiet guardians of human life, a storm brewed on the horizon. There were forces at work that were not at all pleased with their loss of power on earth...

Hello! A few friend and I have decided to launch a forum RP based around people from several monster slaying schools coming together to fight against a demonic invasion on earth! You can check our basic lore here:

Basically the idea is that you create a character with some form of magic unique to their demon slaying school, and all the schools join forces to take on the new threat. Following the incredible success of our last discord RP Spiral, which ran for 4 months, The mods and I have opened new discord RPs with lessons learned to make for an even better experience! Welcome to Behemoth, an RP focusing around a collection of schools, each with their own collection of casters and monster slaying styles. In our semi-sandbox environment, you can create your own school to join global politics, join another school to focus on characters and combat, or do both! We're closing down invites as Spiral enters into the final stages of the end game. As things draw to a close there, we'll be opening up a new discord RP for people to join, using lessons learned to make for an even better RP experience!
