If the U.S. House of Representatives just passed a motion to annex Canada, it is inconceivable for Canada to NOT confederate early. With that in mind, I'd like to change my top choice for once a slot is open from the Netherlands to the Dominion of Canada. A Canadian player would help shift the roleplay's focus back to North America.
^ I completely agree. Good thing it wasn't a personal attack, then.

Can you explain this, Mr grammar Nazi.

It's an archaic word order variant that became common in English after it was published in the 16th century. It originates from a quote from Aristotle, and runs in the format of, "One x does not a y make."

Well if communism gains traction maybe there will be a successful communist revolution in the German states.

One incompetent ruler does not a global revolution make.

Is it wrong that a part of me likes this idea?

You stupid little...

It is extremely unfortunate that someone like you is in charge of what used to be this time period's greatest power.

Yes?

It is amazing to me that you can't comprehend how unbelievably short-sighted of a decision that is. I've never encountered a worse decision made by someone attempting to accurately portray a British imperial figure.

Well yeah. Those are the only colonies shown on the Map. Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, and a few islands.

India? You're having the citizens of London vote alongside the Indian colonies?
It's just the civilized colonies, though, right? Australia and such?

Well in my orders I did give them that. So finger's crossed?

You're kidding, right?

Not sure how all the politics will work out, but considering that all these people are now getting equal representation shouldn't they be happy?

Love for the monarchy has waned in Britain, but still exists in the modern day. Undo 150 years of waning, and you have how the British felt about the monarchy.

Not to mention all of the references to the United States that Edward made. From war to an attempt to emulate their style of government in an instant?

Well it's the reason he believes for his mother's crazyness. Also all the craziness of kings in the past. So he's doing the right thing and making certain that that cannot happen again. We're going to have to change our anthem...

It was impossible for it to have happened in the first place. Victoria couldn't have done any of the things that she did without the consent of Parliament.
