The Austro-Prussian War had different circumstances than this war does, Dedonus.

The rules listed in the first post include the following.

The Rules said This will be high-end casual to advanced roleplaying. Grammar, Punctuation, Capitalization, and spelling are a must.

If you can't observe the rules of the roleplay, you can't participate in the roleplay.

No I'm not. That's an assumption on your part

There's being disingenuous and then there's flatly lying.

Ampharos said To the people of the German Confederation, we call upon you to rise against the Prussian aggressors. The Kingdom of Prussia has declared war upon the Ottoman Empire, attempting to draw us in so that they may spread their tyranny across Central Europe. My brothers in Bavaria, Baden, Württemberg, and the rest of the German Confederation, rise with us and stave off the Kingdom of Prussia before it shatters the Confederation through bloodshed and violence.

I'm sure anyone who has taken a college history class knows of its existence, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.I'm under the assumption that we only need a general knowledge to participate in these games. Not all of us graduated college with degrees in history.

What did you think the German Confederation was, then? A customs union? You honestly didn't believe that it had anything to do with war or the defence of the member-states? You, the person who was portraying the Emperor of the German Confederation, did not believe that the states of the German confederation had any obligation not to declare war on each other on a whim?

I know I'm allied with several German states. I know the German Confederation exists. I can claim ignorance to not having read the Constitution of the German Confederation, however, and I am because it's not a document I've read. I'm sure most people with a decent education can tell you that the German Confederation exists, but do you expect them to have read its constitution? No, that's just silly. This is a roleplay forum, not a history forum.

I think it's fair for anyone with knowledge of the German Confederation's existence to assume that there's some provision in it for war among the member-states.

But it doesn't matter: the constitution of the Confederation isn't what you're arguing about. You're arguing that it's unfair for the German states to get involved on Prussia's side. It isn't, at all, and the fact that you're arguing such a thing is massively hypocritical considering that an hour ago you were trying to do exactly the same thing.

I doubt Outcast is going to make them turn against me because you decided to lure me into a war because of a document I didn't know about.

You clearly referenced the German Confederation in multiple in character posts. You can't claim ignorance of it. Besides, you were trying to get the German states onto YOUR side in your most recent IC post! Now you're whining that it's unfair for them to be involved on Prussia's side?

You'd pretty much own it in claim only. It's not as if it would all be settled and fortified. If we keep it that way, I don't mind.

Aye. Ownership by virtue of no one else bothering to want responsibility for it. We can also say that the map represents a period where it is winter in Glacinus, so that the gaps between the islands are covered by thick ice.
If you're willing to have Glacinus occupy the entire northern ice sheet and the neighbouring taiga, I'm fine with that. I just thought that might be too big.

So many people with Europe... So little eyes on my most recent IC post, hahahaha

I read it, but I don't quite understand its importance. It's just Robert E. Lee sending a letter.
It's going to be awkward to place Glacinus on that map, unless we disperse it over the entire northern border of the continent.
