Practically any flag in the world has a negative connotation somewhere, I find it somewhat suspect to ban flags from flying over state owned buildings simply because elements with racist, violent or otherwise controversial/divisive ideologies have adopted them at one point or another. We may well run out of flags.

If a terrorist organization killing civilians in a campaign to force everyone to have gay sex adopted the rainbow flag, would we have to ban it?

Also, I find it extremely amusing that Amazon sells ISIS merchandise and Nazi paraphernalia to Americans, but not the Confederate battle flag.

Alas. I guess that teaches me to read a few posts before I spend time on an app :3

I might do Japan, or, as MetalLover suggested, United Scandinavia.

I made a point of leaving Australia and New Zealand open. Perhaps you could adapt your NS to fit there? 'Greater Australia' instead of 'Greater Britannia'?
Good news. Only possible negative I could see from this, which has been brought up by numerous conservatives I've heard from and/or talked to, was addressed by Anthony Kennedy.

Finally, it must be emphasized that religions, and those
who adhere to religious doctrines, may continue to advocate
with utmost, sincere conviction that, by divine precepts,
same-sex marriage should not be condoned. The
First Amendment ensures that religious organizations and
persons are given proper protection as they seek to teach
the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their
lives and faiths, and to their own deep aspirations to
continue the family structure they have long revered.
Justice Kennedy

Meant as a reassurance (from my interpretation) that religious institutions are still free to conduct their practices without molestation, including performing marriages exclusively according to their own definition of 'marriage'. So, despite claims otherwise, religious freedom is still abound, and marriage equality is now legally guaranteed. All's good.

What might make you ever think that?

Actually, does anyone have Alaska? Mmmm... oil...

Alaska's oil reserves are pitiful. Most of Alberta's oil reserves are currently technological unrecoverable, but being that this is 2050 and there has (I would assume) been sufficient technological advancement, all or most of it is now open to extraction. With that in mind, Alberta's oil reserves are estimated at somewhere around 1.7 trillion barrels—more than the entire rest of Earth combined.
178 million sound more reasonable to you?

I'm sorry if I seemed to be speaking authoritatively, I was just trying to offer advice. It's your call ultimately. But yes, 178 million sounds reasonable.

I may be over a dozen states but most of them aren't really all that big. Though I did kind of forget Italy's current population, I just realized.

The year's 2050, and assuming immigration continued (which EU 2.0's racial demographics would lead me to believe), the current population is silly small. Add up the real world current population of all constituent states, add at least like 10% for growth, then subtract whatever to account for casualties/emigration during the war.

To hell with your loans. :P The Reich shall rise again!
And you did steal quite a bit of it, not to mention the EU 2.0 was the punching ground for the European theater in part, I assume.

Well, the current British population is over a hundred million, and your union of a dozen different states, including Germany, is a fraction of that.

Planning to be strong in the future is just all the more reason to take out a loan. Spend spend spend!
War is expensive. Take out your loans while interest rates are competitive.

EU 2.0 seems to have quite a small population.
After factoring for natural growth, immigration and the addition of Ireland, Cyprus, Newfoundland and Iceland, I ended up with a United Kingdom of over a hundred million people, and I think it's on the low side. London must be quite crowded in 2050!
I think I missed a zero (or two). Thank you for taking note of that, Keyguyperson.

@Balena_Rex Alright. That will be helpful for when I put your state on the map, thank you.
