The Outsiders (DC comics based OC Superhero RP)

I am referring to roleplaying. I knew who the outsiders were, they're kind of like DC's X-men and if I remember correctly they were always more morally questionable compared to Justice League.

Even in roleplaying I'd argue it's not that fresh but then again there's nothing new under the sun. I don't know if the 'X-Men' is necessarily the best comparison. 'X-Force' might be more accurate, though unlike any of Marvel's 'X' series it's not like the Outsiders are all similar characters. I mean some of the team I can recall off the top of my head was composed of Black Lightning, Owlman, Creeper, Metamorpho, Looker, and Katana. Quite a mix of abilities and talents there. The Secret Avengers might be a closer Marvel counterpart.

I guess you're right, everyone says that the Doom Patrol is a better comparison, I also think The Legion of Superheroes would also share some similarities as well

Not that anyone has to listen to me or anything, and I could be completely wrong on this but I feel like not many people know of the actual Outsiders. Or at least have confused them with the Justice League Dark which is completely different. Maybe it's also the fact that the RP ties back to a YJ RP that is misleading people on a few things. Either way, I just wanted to drop the above link so anyone who wasn't aware of the canon team could be and look over the heroes that have made up the roster over the years.

I'm wanting to join the RP but I'm torn between what type of character to make. I'm deciding if a voodoo-like character or a character that can manipulate the senses work better with the team. ><

The Gifted: A Fast Paced Superpower RP

The trip to the safehouse was long especially since the city was under high alert from the incident with False Angel, and Adam wondered how things would go from here on out. As he lead them to the safehouse Adam saw graffiti with the words 'metahuman shit stains need to all die!' on them and he felt revulsion at the site of such of hate. Things were getting worse and Adam didn't know if he would be able to stop it. He was starting to get a feeling of helplessness, but he drove them out of his mind, he needed to stay mentally strong in order to get through this chaos. Once at the safehouse Adam entered the entry code and led them down into the rooms below the low class casino. This was not as fancy as some of the others, but it would have to do for now. The lights came on and he led them into a lounge room. "Here we are. Make yourselves comfortable, I have to contact my superiors and hear their orders on the situation" he said to them and went to a big computer monitor that he would use to connect the board members. He turned on the screen and typed in the password to the system. The screen of the video caller came on and after a few minutes an image of the board members came on the screen. "Sirs Warpath reporting" he said giving a solute. "At ease son" one of the members said to him. "Are you all aware of the situation?" Adam asked them. "Yes we are, and the situation is getting worse, which is something we would like put an end to, and who are they?" the board member replied pointing to the other metahumans. "They're allies, don't worry about them, they're with me" Adam answered. The man was about to respond when another board member spoke angrily. "Excuse but I would like ask Mr Savage if he really understands the severity of the situation at hand. You and the rest of your kind has been causing more trouble than helping and the people are doubting whether we the government can even protect them!" he shouted at them. "I understand the severity of what has happened and I can assure you that I will try as hard as I can to take down the enemies to our country and protect its people." "Frankily I don't think that's good enough, if you ask me this is what happens when you let a bunch of freaks run wild and are not under proper control. From the beggining we should have rounded you up and make sure none of you could ever be a menace to society-" "Enough Johnson!" the other board member interrupted, and Johnson fell silent. "The board wants results and fast, otherwise we may have no choice but to take every single metahuman in by any means necessary. We are giving you one last chance, you have two months to put an end to this, don't fail us" and with those words the board members ended communication with Adam. Things were bad and he needed to have his mission be a success otherwise they would all start being rounded up. "If any of you have any ideas on where to find these terrorists and stop them then please tell me" he said to the other metahumans.
