I've started writing a short story centered around an Army platoon's three day weekend, based on the experiences of myself and others. I think I just ended up calling it "The 72."

PFC Snuffy plays sangria pong and makes out with a business student who tastes vaguely like wine and cheap lipstick. SPC Shmuckatelli stands duty, browsing Facebook and watching his friends' Snapchat stories wishing he could be out partying. LT FNG gets a call from the police at three in the morning to pick a guy up from jail. A few more Specialists are on restriction and having Nerf gun fights in the barracks. And who could forget the infamous safety briefs and recall formations?

Basically, shit gets deep while you're on pass with the wolfpack.
