"I HAVE NO BAN AND I MUST CRINGE." Rest in peace to the last of the good men in this world. I will shed a thousand tears and pour a hundred 40s of Olde English.

Today I learned that jumping out of helicopters is totally badass. If you haven't rappelled to the ground from a hovering bird yet, I'd recommend it.
Fucking Swiss seats. My hips are scarred up and I'm about to pop a testicle every time I rappel out of the tower.

Once I actually get on the rope I'm fine, but standing in line for hours doesn't help much for my reproductive future.

looks cool though

That does give you something to think about when RPing though; if the people you are rping are untrained, they can fuck up like this and it make sense.

Whenever I work with like, MPs/FBI/DEA/Various SWATs they always have stories of fuckheads who try to take cover behind couches or something and just get shot through it with a 5.56mm carbine or gangstas who try to shoot sideways and end up with a failure to eject a shell, jamming their piece.

My father used to make guns as a hobby when he was my age, so I've had some experience with that sort of thing growing up. But I like old shit, so I always thought his muskets were cooler than the semi-autos. Never fucked with an Fully-Automatic of any sort though.

Pro tips from the Army:

Burst fire fucking sucks.

Automatic fire fucking sucks unless you're planted down on a bipod and even then you're shooting in like eight round bursts so you don't melt your barrel.

Semiauto is your friend.
I know a guy in my class that is pretty much slated to be the the Rwandan president a few years down the line (loldemocracy) and he's a really good friend. There's a good chance I could be the national security advisor for Rwanda or something. Peasants.
Still doing shit at the Air Assault School. Life sucks but what else is new?

I've heard a lot of STEM people complain right alongside English degrees. I think the rule really is "No generalized degrees." So getting a Math degree is not much different from getting a History degree. What you want is a degree that directly corresponds with a career program you want to get into. At least that's true for the US, my be different elsewhere.

Take it from me and become a nuclear engineer.
Did I hear talk of nukes? As a nuclear engineer, I'm hard.
Barracks close out got the Corps wanting to wash our mouths with handguns. Stay tuned for more.

I am pretty sure you have to have at least one trust fund for an apartment there. Two trust funds if you don't want to share a bathroom.

My roommate suggested we stay in a hostel until we realized that we would need to sleep in shifts pulling security.
*Tries to find places to stay in New York for cheap.*

*Fails.*

I'm one step above finding my poncho and making a field expedient hooch in Central Park but my little brother tells me I have to wait until I'm out of the Army to be homeless.
