The cold war drove technology because there was money to throw around. In a total war scenario as in the RP, all spare resources would go into replacing assets and development would likely be even slower than in peacetime.

She stepped close, planting a foot behind his and pushing him backwards with an elbow in his stomach.

She moved forward, throwing punches at him with both hands but keeping one guarding. Kyla took care not to invite any counter attacks, keeping her weight on her back foot and never leaving a punch out for more than a fraction of a second.

She stepped forward and quickly threw an ordinary punch, raising her other hand to a guard position. Her attacking hand snapped back into a position as fast as it had snapped out.

Must say that this interests me.

I was thinking of playing a modern take on the Q-Ship concept. Similar to the original concept during WWi and WWII, it would have been designed to bait pirates and raiders.

Personality: Outwardly Kyle appears friendly considerate and helpful though in a pinch he can be cold and impersonal.

Personal History: Before becoming an infantryman, Kyle was a seach and rescue technician supporting operations in the Atlantic, rescuing survivors after conflicts between naval forces. Once both sides had worn out their navies, he transferred to a Canadian infantry regiment on the west border of Germany. After a relatively exciting deployment, Kyle was wounded while attempting to retake Berlin from Soviet forces. He was transported to England and later back to Canada for recovery.

After being removed from active duty, Kyle was assigned to a position on the border aftercivil war broke out in the United States. When the war stopped the tide of refugees did not and the borders were closed. During a riot at a border crossing he was forced to fire on a group of armed civilians attempting to force their way into canada. Following this incident, he returned to his role as a search and rescue technician.

During the start of 2013 a typhoon devastated southeast Asia. Kyle volunteered to lead a relief and rescue effort but the flight never reached its destination and was reported lost with no survivors.

Particular Skills or Talents: Trained as an automatic rifleman as well as a Search and Rescue Technician. Adept at wilderness survival, swimming and climbing.
