Gem stopped and turned, the tip of her sword sweeping just above the ground. She watched it stride towards her. Gore from her vanquished enemies dripped from her sword and streaked her arms. She looked the new enemy up and down, smiling. She raised her sword and waited for it to get closer.

"Well, you're a big one. Let's play."

As it charged she activated Asynchronous, one stepping forward, unarmed and turning around, the other stepping back with the sword in both hands. As the monstrosity began its charge the twin with the sword ran forward, stepping into her twins outstretched hands to be thrown high into the air. They activated Leap, the twin on the ground jumping to the other midair and they swung the blade towards their enemies head.
Yes please. I'm at work today but should manage to post in about 8 hours.

Clark Dumont

"Well done, I was almost impressed."

Name: Clark Dumont
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Personality: To say that Clark is a tough teacher might be a little bit generous. Words of praise are excessively rare. He knows that every student has potential and will ruthlessly push them towards it. Along with this, he is also fair, handing out penalties only when required and not pushing students beyond their breaking point.

Outside of training he's friendly and approachable, willing to help out with anything or discuss something. He hates to see conflict between people, often going out of his way to see a solution to it before things can go badly. He is meticulous in both his work and his hobbies, treating his cooking and gardening with the same attention to detail that he burdens his students with.

Skills: Cooking, gardening, working

Likes/Dislikes: +hard workers, +honesty, -laziness, -liars

History: Clark isn't from Era'Thet, or even from the pod of Regana'Hier. He was born in the north, on K'thalos in the pod of Od'Nathal. Clark became a Fae so that he could become the best at something important. He put every effort he could into earning some word of praise from the coordinator. Along with him, there was another by that excelled at everything, the coordinators daughter. He saw any parise towards her as being unearned.Their rivalry grew bitter, filled with insults and arguments.

Out searching for a missing boat, they fought. Words came to blows over some trivial matter. Eventually weapons were drawn and they fought to the death. Clark gained the upper hand and struck her down, destroying her wings. She fell into the sea and was never recovered. Back on K'Thalos the blame was placed squarely on his shoulders. Because of the Coordinators relationship to the other Fae and the arguments that they often had, he was assumed guilty. Clark left after the first rumors got to him, hiding on another whale in the pod until they came close enough to another pod that he could escape.

Clark moved from pod to podover the next several years, carefully building a new identity as a wandering Fae. He travelled until just short of his eighteenth birthday, finding himself on Era'Thet, a fairly new settlement. He stayed and built a name for himself as a strict teacher and a powerful ally. In the eight years since arriving he gained a little trust although people still feel uneasy towards an outsider.

Welcome Fake!Looking forward to role playing with you, although I thought I saw you in the OOC before I joined...

Maybe not before you joined but I've been keeping an eye on it for some time. It was full by the time I saw it so I've been on the wait list.

+Nerd mode engaged. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

Well hello, I don't believe we've met.
Gem stood underneath a tree, mildly irritated by the drizzle that was clinging to her hair and exposed skin while dampening her clothing. She was already late, having foolishly wasted time cleaving through a herd of mindless drones cutting wood. They would die anyway if the necromancers minions found them but it was ultimately a pointless, wasteful action that was nonetheless required because it was desired by her Master. She scowled and soon after grimaced as the horrible screeching met her ears. Pulling the long sword from its sheath she began to run towards the town, quickly meeting with grotesque monsters wielding unidentifiable weapons.

A lunging strike was parried with a flick of her sword tip followed by a sweeping swing that cleaved through from hip to shoulder, severing the monster. Another flick took off a monstrosities arm at the elbow a split second before it was run through and pinned to a tree. She wrenched it free and cut the tree down in a single mighty blow, her blade cleaving through the living wood as if it was a green sapling. The Oak fell and crushed another pair of attackers in a spray of water, mangled limbs and blood.

Soon enough they were coming in groups of three and four. She was getting closer to the town, just able to make out the shape of the walls through the drizzle and trees. The enemies began to close in thicker as she stepped out onto the road near the gate, spotting other champions doing battle within the gate. Gem began to cleave her way in that direction, simply cleaving through weapons rather than blocking them.
The Duelists

Name: Gem

Title: The Duelists

Age: 290 days

Personality:
'Fair fights are for losers'. Gem is a pair of entities sharing a single consciousness. Her goal in everythig is to win as efficiently as possible, showing off and meaningless banter is seen as a irredeemable sin. Outside of a fight Gem is actually friendly and polite. Because of her policy to win fights no matter what, she avoids doing anything that may make an enemy of an ally and creating a situation that would put her ideology at risk.

Origin Myth: Gem was born the only daughters of a clan chief, a grave blow to a man with no sons to carry on his name. Growing up, she hid her abnormal nature with some difficulty. As her father grew older he resolved to marry them both to rival clans, joining them both to his in an effort to avoid a conflict after his death and to unify them under one banner.

On the eve of the wedding, Gem killed both sons of the rival clans, kickstarting a war that lasted for years and that left the clans weaker for decades to come. Gem was imprisoned for her part in the bloodshed and given a choice, exile from her homeland of face death in the form of a dragon. She fought the dragon, killed it and took the twin swords it had guarded. Following this, she left the island, crossed the sea, and became a hero out of legend.

Powers/Skills/Abilities:

  • Unity - Both entities occupy the same space, striking with increased strength and speed. Her durability is also increased, attacks dealing only half of the damage that they ordinarily would.

  • Asynchrony - Both halves operate independantly in an unlimited range. Each is a fully fledged champion in its own right and should not be taken lightly

  • Leap - Either half instantly teleports to the other, activating Unity.

  • War Cry - Area of effect debuff and dispel. Also applies an effect that delays the application of incoming damage until the end of the effect

  • Equipment:
Castor & Pollux - Twin longswords that, while being visually identical, are functionally opposites. Seperate, they are incomplete but together they show their full potential. Alone each blade is light enough to be swung with a single hand but are usually weidled in two regardless.

    • Castor - Weilded by the right hand, Castor is the cleaver, rending anything considered armour or weapons with little effort but leaving flesh intact.

    • Pollux - Weilded in the left hand, Pollux is the wounder, slicing through flesh and creating wounds that are slow to heal but having no effect against anything considered armour.
